Lamar Odom Traded To Dallas - TV Show Was A Problem

Earlier this week, Lamar Odom looked to be headed to New Orleans. Maybe he could have lived in Reggie Bush's old place. Unlike her sister Kim Kardashian, Khloe has made it clear that wherever Lamar goes she goes. Well, she is going to Dallas. After the NBA canceled the trade which would have sent Lamar to Dallas, the Lakers could have kept him and he could have been happy and all could have been good. They didn't though. They tried to trade him to New Orleans again yesterday and when that did not work out they shipped him to Dallas. Why? It turns out the Lakers were not big fans of Lamar filming Khloe & Lamar during last season. They thought it was a huge distraction and that he was not taking it seriously. I also think that Vanessa Bryant was ticked off she was not invited to be a part of it, complained to Kobe Bryant who complained and the next thing you know, Lamar is out of there. It will be interesting to see how much time Khloe actually spends in Dallas and how much she spends in Los Angeles. Will she like being out of the spotlight? She sure did love sitting courtside at Lakers games with actual celebrities.

  1. I think Khloe knows Lamar is the best she is going to do. Kim can pick up men along the way. But Khloe has not been as lucky in love.

Maybe, she can have a threesome, with Jesse James if she runs into him.

  2. Time will tell..he is a good player, but I can understand the Lakers not wanting to deal with that bullshit.

  4. I can't believe I'm saying this, but Khloe is growing on me. She the only member of the Kardashian Klan that isn't completely subhuman.

  5. Mark Cuban just got stuck with the Kardashians! Hilarious! Actually, he'll probably love it. That guy's a famewhore himself.

Is Longoria's ex still on Dallas?

  6. @crazy - I was thinkin the same thing. This was not about the Kardashians it was a sports thing

And tony parker (longorias ex) plays for the spurs..san antonio.

  7. @Licia San Antonio! Thanks, I knew it was a Texas team, couldn't remember which one.

  8. Agreed w/ 0/Null Set above, Khloe is starting to emerge as the "normal" Kardashian, which I know isn't saying much, but is this a sign she's read the tea leaves in re: Kim's porntails?

Lamar is a solid player who just made an already very good Mavs team that much better.

  9. This had absolutely nothing to do with the TV show.

First of all, Odom won the NBA's 6th man of the year award last year. He had a very good season. You don't receive awards for having one of your best years by being distracted and wrapped up in a fake tv show.

Secondly, Enty crafted this story based on an off-the-cuff remark the notoriously sensitive Odom made during a radio interview. The reality is, Odom has played in LA for all but one season of his professional career. He loves LA. And he simply made a comment to help try and rationalize the trade.

Thirdly, the Lakers traded Odom because they covet Dwight Howard, the NBA's best center. In order to acquire Howard, the Lakers had to shed salary as well as stockpile trade assets to make the Orlando Magic an offer that would at once enable Orlando to begin rebuilding without Howard as well as enable the Magic to cast away one of their other horribly cumbersome contracts (Hedo Turkoglu).

This was not a decision based off a mediocre E! reality show. It was a basketball decision aimed at helping one of the premier brands in all of professional sport acquire one of the most dominant and marketable athletes in the NBA.

ENTY - You try so hard to convince us you're a sad, fat man with multiple failed marriages, you fail to take into account that what you say proves that these are lies. The reality is it's clear you're a woman who is simply trying to preserve your insider, anonymous status.

Stick to what you know...Not floating nonsensical rumors as to why a professional sports franchise made a decision.

  10. "Hello it's me" is EXACTLY right. There is definitely a few "Enty" posters on CDAN. Sometimes we get really good gossip, othertimes, not so much. Every time "he" makes a pissy bitchy reference to Kate Hudson driving Owen Wilson to suicide, I think to myself, "Um, he's a heroin addict. If she DIDN'T remove herself and her child from the situation, you would be calling her a negligent parent. I used to love me some Enty and have read this blog for years since the explosive MV BI, but I've hit the point where I recognize the original "Enty" rarely, if ever, posts and half this crap is bs and the other half is grossly exaggerated. My name is Katie and you can email me at kmkatiekm@gmail.com if you think I'm just a coward posting baloney on the Internet.

  12. Agreed, Hello it's me. As good as Odom is, he's a sixth man, a spare part for a Lakers team that is looking to get the best center in the league not named Dirk Nowitzki and win a few more championships. Besides, Odom is also heading into his mid-30s, making him an old player in the league with just a few years left. If you're the Lakers, you get ready to pick up Dwight Howard -- who will play another 14 years -- and get rid of the guys who can't. Lamar is in the "can't" category.

In short, it's a good deal for the Lakers, and really, a good deal for Lamar, who now gets to play with a team that has a chance of getting at least one or two more titles in the next few years. And Dallas is just L.A. with Tex-Mex on the side. Khloe will feel right at home.

  23. sorry, i think my previous comment got deleted on accident, but basically lamar being traded was based on his own hurt feelings and had nothing to do with his dumb reality show.

this was a terrible trade for the lakers as it was basically a salary dump and to get the lakers under the tax roll. in addition, kobe is pissed at the situation, because it looks like the lakers traded away the reigning sixth man of the year to the defending champs.

another tidbit, during pregame introductions, lamar is always in the center of the huddle, because he is the rock in the locker room. because hes such a sensitive guy, he couldnt handle being almost traded and didnt even report to practice for the last two days.

  24. I love all of the Enty conspiracy theories! while I am a true believer that Enty is who he says he is, and I did listen to one of the radio broadcasts and it seemed that he was indeed a man, I wouldn't really care if he were 10 women.

why, because I have a life. sigh. at least sometimes.

  25. How tall is Lamar? Khloe is enormous but looks normal-sized next to him.

    ReplyDelete
  26. Not a big NBA fan, but, geez, he may be a sixth man, but it's 2] the NBA, and 1] the LAKERS!

  27. Typo, but i'll leave it.
