Katie Couric Splits With Boyfriend
After five years together Katie Couric and her boyfriend, Brooks Perlin have called it quits. A source told US Weekly that the 17 year age gap between the pair was one of the reasons why Brooks is now moving out of Katie's place. They also said that Katie is in high demand and that Brooks could just not keep up. Wow, talk about throwing someone under a bus. What about the old they remain friends thing. I get the feeling that Brooks wanted Katie to stay at home more and that just was not going to happen.
What kind of name is Brooks?
ReplyDeleteSo not gossip worthy. blah
ReplyDeleteRenoBlondee, Brooks is kind of a prep school boy name in my neck of the woods. Back in the day I went to school with a few Brooks.
ReplyDeleteYep, I went to HS with a boy named Brooks and one of my good friends here (girl) is also Brooks.
ReplyDeleteI had no idea she was dating anyone but I don't keep up with Katie Couric's love life. I am not at all surprised to hear that she is high demand though.
I love that he couldn't keep up with her! When i grow up I want to be just like Katie Couric...
ReplyDeleteI can't stand Katie C.
ReplyDeleteNot sure it's that he wanted her home --more likely she was making career changes and plans and not discussing them w/him.
ReplyDeleteI know a few Brooks as well. And don't forget Brooks Robinson, very famous former baseball player.
ReplyDeleteUgh, I'm not buying it, this is Couric's spin and Couric throwing HIM under the bus. A guy 17 years younger can't keep up, right.
ReplyDeleteI want to call him Brooks Brothers so badly! I didn't even know Katie had a boyfriend. She don't need him! She has the money, career, and grown kids. At her level, she's up at the Big O game, all she needs is arm candy.
ReplyDeletemy neighbor's grandson is named brooks. i think it's a great name.
ReplyDeleteoh, i forgot to comment on the blind. haha.
ReplyDeletei think it's probably all about that huge age difference---i don't buy the 'he can't keep up' bullshit. that's a BIG age difference and it just didn't work.
he probably saw her upper arms without sleeves.
(and at my age, i can make that joke.)
would anyone here even consider dating someone 17 years younger or older than they are??? after you're 40, maybe there's not a lot of difference, but younger than that an you're having your family, building your assets and career; becoming who you are. to me, 17 years younger is "baby-boy" and 17 years older is "old man".
ReplyDelete@me
ReplyDeleteBack in my single days, I had two serious boyfriends who were twenty and eighteen years older than me. My average guy was at least eleven years older. My hubby is six years older, but that is a fluke! I've always gone older and never younger. If I were Couric, I would just have fun.
I always thought Couric was gay, but oh well lol.
ReplyDeleteBrooks is a strange name. The only one I know of is a British politician called Brooks Newmark.
she moved him into her house? seems very un-Katie like.
ReplyDeletePersonally, I'd have a very hard time relating to a guy 17 years younger than myself. But depends on the person, I suppose.
