Four For Friday - Closeted Lovers Compete For Oscar Nomination
This awards season is shaping up to be very interesting. One of my favorite closeted A list movie actresses, only seems to go for women when her relationships with men go sour. Well, after a recent breakup she found herself at an event and met this foreign born B list actress who you would recognize but would be hard pressed to put a name with the face. The foreign born actress has always said she has boyfriends but I don't think anyone has actually ever seen one. Anyway, despite being slightly older than our A list actress, the two hit it off and have been spending a great deal of time with each other and try to spend three or four nights together a month. The interesting thing is that both have a good chance of being nominated for Academy Awards this year in the same category. I wonder how that will work out if one wins.

ReplyDeleteCharlize/Tilda doesn't work because Tilda (1960) is fifteen years older than Charlize (1975)
Similarly Dunst (1982) is older than Jones (1983)
Williams (1980) is also older than Jones (1983)
I'm thinking it has to be Charlize Theron. The rumor about her being a lesbian has been going around for years. I'm on the Charlize train....but who is the British Actress. Tilda is married...and Olivia Colman is another possible nominee, but also married.

ReplyDelete@Rita... Enty will not reveal this one. He does not "out" people like that. Although his comments sometimes could be questionably construed as "outing" imo... but he would not be so obvoius as to say yes this A-list and this B-list actress are both gay, if they have not already come out or been outed somewhere else.

I think Beth has it as well. McTeer is 3 years older than Sandra Bullock which fits 'slightly older' at that age. While Sandra has had those rumours, even if she likes men as well.
ReplyDeleteMcTeer played Vita Sackville West having a lesbian relationship in 'A Portrait of a Marriage' in 1990 btw. Surprised she's B-list if it's her though.
She was nominated for an Oscar about 10 years ago and is always in prestigious, Masterpiece Theatre-type projects.
ReplyDeleteSo strange to think of lesbianism as a kind of compensation prize. If men are really the goal but women can be used to mop up after the failure of the Holy Graal, that's just sad. Whoever she is, this is a sad blind, with "Failure, Depception, and Loss" as its theme.
