BuzzFoto Blind Item

While at a charity event in the last two weeks, this C list celebrity from a celebrity food network was eating dinner with a table of other celebrities. They thought it would be an appropriate time to criticize the food and called over the waiter and demanded he bring out the head cook. When he did, the C lister berated him in front of the whole table for fifteen minutes about what he did wrong with the meal. When the chef pointed out the food was for charity, the C lister said he didn’t care and it was no excuse for serving ‘garbage.’ The entire table spent the time laughing at the poor chef who left the event in tears. Our source claims that after the chef left the table, the C list celebrity said, “Ah, I was just kidding, but thought I’d give him a hard time. It seems the guy can’t take a joke.”

  2. I get sick to my stomach reading the "antics" of some of these narcissistic asshats. How cruel! I hope karma is diligent and kicks that entire table into oblivion.

  3. Sounds like something Bobby Flay would do.

  4. And - I hope Enty does a New Year's Eve reveal on every single person who was sitting at that table.

  5. @MadLyb Unfortunately, it isn't an Enty blind item so we won't get a reveal on it. :( I agree these people deserve to be outed!

  6. I don't really believe BuzzFoto blinds.

  7. Guy Feirri or whatever his name is. (He pronounces it Fee-etti because the actual pronunciation is Fee-airy - which I'm sure he doesn't want to say his name is Guy Fairy so he tries to toughen it up - ugh can't stand that guy)

  8. Wow, the chef stood there for that long being berated? That's ridiculous. The whole table sat there and did nothing???

If this is true, then the whole lot of them are disgusting people and that chef needs to learn to leave a bad situation or defend himself.

  9. What we have here is adult bullying. Some hack with just enough douchiness to pick on someone he considers "less than him" in front of a table full of celebrities and a roomful of people at a charity event.

Everyone at the table is an accomplice. They should be outed for their complete lack of compassion.

  10. @Jeff - I'm with you! Must be that misogynist Bobby Flay... Or Simon Majumdar (Next Iron Chef judge), who is more C-list than Bobby.

  11. I don't watch the Food Network and even I know Bobby Flay. Is he a C-List? Isn't he an Iron Chef? He has several successful restaurants and sever shows on TFN [according to Google search]. Would he be c-list?

  12. ^I'd consider him C-list. No higher. He got a tad more coverage because of his bar-b-Q ing with President Obama.

Oddly though, when judging on Iron Chef, he is quite nice. Not as nice and lovable as Michael Symon though. Sigh.

  13. I'm with Ms. Cool. I think Buzz Foto blinds are bs. This sounds too much like the blind from last year about the actress who berated the server for fun.

  14. Jessica: Actually, his real name is Guy FERRY. He changed it to Fieri a few years ago to sound more European and made up a story about an Italian grandfather. No joke. A buddy of mine knows him from way back when he grew up in Ferndale, CA.

Don't know if it's him in the blind tho.

  15. If true, adult bullying is right and I hope this blind is revealed.

  16. Having worked in a few restaurants in my life and found that most chefs are crazy, narcissistic bastards, I can't imagine any chef would put up with this at all.

Also - don't piss off the people that prepare your food.

  17. @Rita: I could eat Michael Symon with a spoon..He is just too cute and funny. I have a serious crush on him.
@Jessica and BondGirl: You absolutely must go to www.foodnetworkhumor.com. That lady HATES Guy Ferry and takes every opportunity to skewer him. Just too funny.
That being said I actually cannot see Guy being the bully but I can see Bobby Flay.

  18. whatever his last name is, at least he pronounces 'fierri' properly. in italian (as in spanish), you roll the double consonant 'r' heavier than you would if it was a singular consonant ...to a non-native it can come across as sounding like a 'd' or a 't'.

    that is all.

  19. As long as it's not Tom Coliccio, I don't care. I have a major crush on him.

  20. I don't believe this blind. As if a whole table would be able to mock the chef of that event without anyone from the other tables around interfering. I tend to think that a few celebrities do care about charity and good manners and that's why I don't think that someone would have been able to behave so nasty to another person for a good fifteen minutes in front of others.

  21. @Mina, unfortunately I have seen non-famous people berate staff, so I do believe this blind. It is disgusting. There is one of our friends we don't like to go to dinner with because she gets a couple in her and is rude to staff. It is a difficult situation because she has legitimate complaints, but the way she goes about expressing herself is not to our liking. The tone is condescending. We always go overboard being nice to make up for it. We don't ask her out to dinner with us, we only go in group settings when other people have organised it.

  22. My guess is Gordon Ramsay. Seems like something he would do. I would hope Bobby Flay wouldn't do that sort of thing. :/

  23. @Sherry - I totally get your crush! He always makes everything fun, even cooking with Bobby!

However, my secret crush is this other chef...

  24. Rita, who's your secrest crush? Come on, confess it!

It did not occur to me until Rachel sait it but, yeah Gordon Ramsay would be the best guess.
