Tobey Maguire Settles Poker Lawsuit

Considering that Tobey Maguire has won over a million dollars playing poker, I'm surprised it took him this long to cough up $80K to settle the lawsuit filed by a bankruptcy trustee who was trying to recoup money lost by investors of Brad Ruderman. Brad was sentenced to ten years in jail for stealing about $25M from his clients. Some of that $25M he spent gambling at poker games with celebrities and other rich people. $100K just to sit down. Earlier reports said Tobey won about $300K from Ruderman but Tobey says he actually lost about $160K from Ruderman. I think Tobey probably won. It seems like he always wins. I wonder how often in a year he makes more from poker than he does from acting. To get his name off the lawsuit he settled for $80K. He probably spent half that in legal fees and would have spent even more if it had gone to trial. Look for Tobey in Vegas this weekend earning it back.
