Rosie O’Donnell Doesn't Care About The Kardashians

Rosie O' Donnell had the opportunity in the past week to do a bunch of Kardashian jokes during her show. She chose to pass. She told Billy Bush in an interview that she does not even know which sisters are which except for Kim.

“I’ve never seen any of the Kardashian shows, I don’t really know the family or the story, all I know is Bruce Jenner looks weird, right? When that all that [happened], the writers were like, ‘We’ve got a bunch of Kim Kardashian jokes.’ And I looked at them and I went… ‘I don’t really care.’”

See, this is just one little baby step. But each baby step will lead to more people not caring about them. It is ok to write about them. You can look away. But when they are on television and with so many of them and future Kardashians coming out of the wall like cockroaches who smell grease, you have to confine them to tabloids, the occasional photograph and a blurb when they are on their fourth marriages and Bruce Jenner loses his nose in his 35th plastic surgery. Push them to the back pages and to late night infomercials.

  1. And suddenly Rosie seems likable to me.

  2. Yay, Rosie!

So I'm at QFC yesterday waiting in line and I see all the tabloids. Kim's on the cover of all of them, and the headlines are asking whether it was a fake marriage. I got the impression that her fans are angry. Since my Kardashian knowledge is limited to what I read on CDAN and sites where she's not very well-liked, I had assumed that everyone still loved her, but it's not looking that way. Read somewhere this morning that Tyler Perry (is that right?) fans are boycotting a movie she's going to be in.

I have never seen the show. I was away from the internet (and TV, and society in general) for a couple of years, and when I came back, she wasn't the trampy friend of Paris who made a sex tape, she was some kind of star, which confused me.

  3. How is this news - just because she doesn't care about them - shouldn't be cause to write about them. Slowly they will go away, but this post isn't going to help. Rosie helps!

  4. Just another reason to like Rosie...that and her Trump hating ways! : )

Um, I think it works the same way with tv. You just don't have to watch.
I was also wondering why you can't stop reporting on them, Enty? I bet that you also have to pay for the pictures of the Kanka$hitin family you're using. I know for sure that I wouldn't waste my money for that.

  6. Yes. PLEASE ENTY. How about we start with a one week Kardashian ban and see how that goes? If people want them back badly, you can bring it back.

  7. But if he keeps writing about the backlash, then perhaps it will keep growing. This might be helping to speed up their demise. I like to hope so.

Yay Rosie. And again, something about her looks happy and secure in this photo. I like happy, positive Rosie. Need to check out her show (just not the Mariah episode).

  8. UGH, both the Kardashians and Rosie can go away. Sorry but Rosie has just said too many jerky things over the years for me to ever warm up to her again.

  9. Thank you for saying that Rosie!

  10. I am most interested about where EmEyeKay went to leave society? Antartica? Prison?

  11. I only ever watch for Bruce. He's too famous to give a shit and tells the truth. Also, it's funny to watch him wandering around in the background of the fake drama, rolling his eyes, hair all mussed, face all squinched. Does not care.

Rosie's got a new show so she's promoting herself by following a rather obvious anti-Kardashian trend. Whatever, Rosie.

  12. I havn't had a chance to watch Rosie's new show yet. I think it's great she doesn't know who they are, yet also mind boggling given their coverage.

  13. What a coincidence-- I don't care about them, either!

  14. I watched 15 minutes of the show and was bored out of my skull. Oh, and I also saw a promo way back when showing a stripper pole in one of their bedrooms and the two youngest girls were playing on it. Disgusting.

  15. Ugh, mn, that reminds me - I was at the grocery store earlier and there was a 1-year-old girl who was just learning to walk, and was stumbling along with her dad's help. Her 4-year-old brother was shouting "Shake it! Shake it!" at her. I couldn't believe it.
