Random Photos Part One

Three parts today.

Defying expectations and every piece of gossip I have ever heard about this couple, Kate Beckinsale and Les Wiseman have managed to stay married for quite some time.
Kristen Wiig at a showing of Bridesmaids last night and
in the new issue of GQ.
This is the most random photo I have seen in a couple of weeks. Laura Dern and Jeremy Piven? Can you imagine if they were a couple?
Neil Patrick Harris bringing out his 70's leather jacket in New York last night.
Awkward. Nicole Scherzinger and Lewis Hamilton meet up one last time.
Pippa Middleton focuses on the camera while ice skating.
Rihanna as a Christmas school girl? Don't quite get this outfit.

  1. LOVE Wiig.

Beckinsale is gorgeous, but I have no idea how she keeps getting movie roles.

  2. Les Wiseman is really goodlooking, never noticed that before.

Do not like the Rihanna picture.

  3. Love Wiig too... Also - who is Les Wiseman? He is a bit of a hottie.

Why, Robert Smith? Why? Does anyone remember when he cut his hair that one time? Sigh, we were supposed to get married.

Nicole and Lewis' body language is killing me. She seems to clinging to some far-fetched hope and he is SO finished with whatever they had.

  6. Does anyone know the ghost movie 'Haunted' with Kate Beckinsale and Aidan Quinn. I love that movie.

  7. @KLM:Les Wiseman is the director of TOTAL RECALL remake,DIE HARD 5 and UNDERWORLD movies

  8. Hmm...I thought it was "Len" Wiseman, not Les? I'm too lazy to look it up. But anyway, yes, Lainey's had a few thinly veiled blinds about these two. My bf loves Beckinsale, but she is a really terrible actor.

Saw NPH in the last Harold and Kumar do Christmas over the week-end: he was absolutely nasty and can teach the best of them how to be a misogynistic ass! In a good way. It's NPH, come on!

When I was a little girl I had a school lunchbox that was the same pattern as Rhianna's dress.

    Love me some Cure.

  12. Rita-have you heard Adele's cover of "Lovesong"? Gorgeous!

  13. That Rihanna dress is from the Alexander McQueen collection, but I prefer the one that Emma Watson wore a little while back.

  14. I'm seeing The Cure tomorrow night!!! I am so excited, they are my serious number 1.

  15. I loooooooooooove Robert Smith! He can borrow my MAC Ruby Woo whenever he wants!!

  16. Brenda, I had that same lunch pail. Well, back in the day we called 'em pails, I guess it's a box now?

Why doesn't anybody ever comment Kristen Wiig's weight? The girl is very skinny, yet I never seen any snide remarks about it. I guess it's okay for a comedienne?

  17. Maja - Are you serious? Am looking that up right now. Wow, Adele would definitely do The Cure proud.

And @Lauren - lucky, lucky, lucky, lucky!

Let us know how they were. Saw Duran Duran a couple of years ago. Was absolutely disappointed. They sounded so bad. But still, Save a Prayer is still one of my best songs ever.

  18. I know he is a total douche, heck--he might be king of them all--but I have always found Piven attractive.

A year or two ago, Enty predicted the divorce of Beckinsale/Wiseman but it never happened.

Am I the only one disappointed that Wiig posed in her undies? She's vey funny and actually a good actor, and it annoys me when talented, successful women agree to prance around in lingerie for photo shoots, as if the only thing they bring to the table is their sex appeal.

  20. (SIGH) I miss the Cure.

  21. @Texshan You're not the only one. That was the first thing I thought when I saw the pic of Kristen Wiig. She can do what she wants, I don't begrudge her that, but lately I've been surprised by quite a few actresses doing sexy time poses for men's magazines - Anne Hathaway, Mila Kunis to name a couple, there are more I can't think of at the moment.

Maybe they want to do it, but it seems like some of them feel like they have to do it, and that bothers me.

  22. ENTY! Thank You for posting a picture of Robert Smith. You just jumped in cool factor another 1000 points.

  23. Rita, you should have seen Duran Duran on the US tour they just finished. They were awesome, I saw them 3 times this year, twice in one week in September. And they all looked like they were having a great time too, I think that was the best part of the concerts.

  24. I hate it that everyone bares all, almost without exception. Who haven't I seen in their undies?

  25. Califblondy- you're not the only one. If anything the only thing that wasnt good in the genius that was Bridesmaids was Kristen Wigs extreme thinness- and the way she seemed to be seeking some sort of sex appeal purely through that. It struck me that way because in no other way is she overtly sexual in that movie (or in her usual schtick) but seems to attempt to express her femininity through her thinness- which is the ultimate beauty ideal for women in our culture. Because of that I'm not really enamored with her- though I wish her well as a woman in the male-dominated world of comedy. Still, to my cynical side, she seems one in a long line of woman to sell out to get ahead. sigh.

That's why i have more respect and admiration for the Melissa McCarthy's btw. Can u imagine how much pressure it would be to not conform to being thin, and realize how this might stunt your job opportunity in the hollywood world? Melissa is a saint.

  26. @Feisty - was about to say the same thing!

    @Lauren - that's awesome! Enjoy!
