In an interview with Business Insider. Hang on for a second right there. Someone from Business Insider called BiBi Jones for an interview? You know the reporter has to be a guy and probably told his boss that she had a big story for him. Turns out he was right, but I think he just got lucky and not in the way BiBi Jones normally lets you get lucky if you know what I mean. Apparently a sports agent from Gaylord Sports Management would take BiBi Jones with him when he would go to bars in Arizona looking for baseball players to sign to his agency. Over the course of one year, BiBi had sex with at least ten of the baseball players and a number of them signed with Terry Bross and his agency shortly after they had sex with her.
BiBi says she was never paid to have sex with the players or even forced to and that she enjoyed doing it. She did not say if she was paid to go out with Terry although I am guessing she probably was. So, what do you think? Did he do something wrong? If you are an athlete are you going to base your decision on a guy who got you sex with a porn star?
That's all it takes? A porn star for you to entrust your career to an agent?

Wait... Yeah, it's all wrong for women accepting to be whored, or bartered, for contract agreements. And still, that's the way it goes.
I am shocked, shocked that agents understand the libidinous desires of the jocks they try to service and respond accordingly with whores.
ReplyDeleteIn light of the Nevin Shapiro-Miami situation, I'd say most 20-year-old guys would definitely sign with an agent because of sexual favors offered. No doubt about it.
ReplyDeleteWe're not talking about a savvy businessman like Warren Buffet here. We're dealing with a bunch of kids with raging hormones, inflated egos, and stars in their eyes and no clue how do real business. Getting it on with a porn star is on most of their bucket lists. They'd probably sign the contract on their way to get in bed with Bibi.
There's plenty of "servicing" going on in the world of sports. Go to any Division 1A school, and you'll hear stories about how boosters will occasionally rent out their daughters just to lure a top prospect to campus, or how tutors help out players in ways other than just studying. As long as you have young guys ready to get themselves some, there will be people willing to take advantage of their libidos.

@Sevenmack: Yep and many schools have co-eds on 'hostess' scholarships. All pretty, very charming and just SO eager to convince a 5-star recruit that their school is the best. It's disturbing how corrupt sports can be. Makes Hollywood look like Disneyland.
ReplyDeleteI think I'm going to start a Women's non profit organization called STOP MAKING US LOOK BAD which will call out and then offer assistance (counseling, whatever) to women who make other women look bad. I have no problem with sexually active females, but at least use the Pretty Woman rule (I say who, I say when). Don't be pimped unless you are getting at least 60%.

If I was the mother of one of a talented college-bound young athletes I would be screaming in horror right now. As it is I will probably wrapping my son in a full-body condom from 13-18 years old (I guess legally I have to let him out at 18, right?)

ReplyDeleteI understand the raging hormones part, but I just can't get why any guy would want to stick his dick in a porn star. Isn't he afraid of disease? Even with 2-3 condoms, still, euw. Then again, prostitution seems to be a pretty good business regardless of the economy, so I guess there's just lots I don't understand.

ReplyDeleteI'm not sure I understand why getting it on with someone you've never heard of would be so great. A friend of mine who worked in baseball broadcasting in the '80's told a story of going out with some players after a game, and one of them--actually a scrub--had picked someone up and was on the way back to his room within 10 minutes of when they got to the bar. It's just so easy for pro-athletes to get laid for free, then I never know why they would pay for it.

ReplyDeleteI agree most guys think with their little head. I do however think that a large majority of baseball players didn't graduate from high school. The lack of education makes them easy prey for a hot body and a smooth line from an agent.
