WHICH B-list actress was spotted wearing a surgical mask during her entire flight from France to New York? The star, who has a famous mother and sister, was so paranoid about catching something that she refused to sign autographs!
I almost put on the mask just the other night. Guy next to me was coughing half the flight. I carry one in my purse. I was lucky he had a dry cough! And I would put the mask on if I was coughing to protect everyone else, thank you. There are some nasty people on planes.
I used a mask when I went back to Korea after visiting my family here. The air was so dry on the plane home that I got sick so I used a mask on the way back.
from what i have heard, those masks are basically useless as a protector to he person wearing them. they need to be fitted to your face, and the generic one-size-fits-all is really to keep the msjority of your germs from getting on others (if you cough or sneeze) not to keep germs from infecting you.
Ok I just have to say that I get sick EVERY time I fly. Sitting in a metal box for 8 hours or more breathing the same air as everyone else the entire time you are going to be exposed to anything that anyone has. So I don't blame her for at least trying something, even if those masks are pretty useless at preventing illness.
I was never so sick constantly as when I was a flight attendant. Aside from the swine flu a few years back I have been relatively well. And yeah the masks are just for security unless everyone else is wearing them too.
Ashley Judd? I am feeling that I am way off though.
ReplyDeleteAshley Judd?
ReplyDeleteYeah, I am on the Ashley train. Isn't she supposed to be a first class pain?
ReplyDeleteI was thinking Ashley also, but is she even a B-list anymore?

ReplyDeleteThink I'll go with Joely Richardson
ReplyDeleteMaybe she just had a bit of work done ...

ReplyDeleteI don't think this is odd or irrational behavior at all--why is it even blind? Airplanes are *terrible* for transmitting germs!

ReplyDeleteSometimes I wish I had a mask to wear on the bus. Nasty.
ReplyDeleteMust be Ashley. She's shooting a new TV show and I think the main location is France.
