Kris Humphries Gets $150K From Watch Company

The people who make Sector watches are idiots. They decided that making Kris Humphries their spokes person was a great decision and to pay him $150K to promote their watches. The only reason I am writing about this is because I can't believe someone decided he was the perfect person for their company or were willing to pay him that much. Seriously? $150K? Kris Humphries? Why? Who listens to him? He was the worst player on one of the worst NBA teams and is out of work and might never get to play again, but you want to give him $150K. Idiots.

  1. i think 150K isn't alot when it comes to sponsor pay days.

They are just trying to jump on the buzz he is getting right now. I have seen this on a lot of sites and I never heard of Sector before. I'm not a watch person. I have no clue if they are good or not. So I'd say they got their money's worth.

  2. I agree, they will get their $ worth in publicity in the short term, which is when advertising counts. Sector watches? never heard of them either.

And let me just say, I love the weekend postings.

  3. I've heard of Sector watches. They targeted sports audiences, for sure. Yeah, they are jumping on the bandwagon of buz right now. No such thing as bad PR, and maybe he will have a career out of this. I feel kind of bad for him, but he is an idiot. He opens his mouth and says stupid stuff. I still feel bad for him, go figure.

  4. I don't know, in terms of endorsements, $150K doesn't seem like very much.

And yeah, I've never heard of Sector either.

  5. I call more bullshit snark on this.
For the 2010-2011 season, Kris Humphries was the highest rebounder for the Nets, the sixth highest scorer in only 28 minutes per game. Not a ton of minutes for a team centered around its star guards. And he played in the fourth highest number of games for the team. Meaning he was dependable member of the team for the coach. He is only 26 years of age. Hardly on his way out of the NBA. Nor were the Nets the worst team in the league. Part of their problem was clearing out players to open up cap space to land a Carmelo Anthony, Chris Bosch or other free agent. Unfortunately, they weren't successful landing anyone.

  11. I think Sector & Kris are both capitalizing on Kris's 15 minutes.
I'm sure he's trying to earn extra dough from not being married to Kim. Or getting divorced from her.

  12. I dont know how many Boycott the Kardashian petitions I've signed by now. How about one for him? The whole bunch make my skin crawl. Ive got a lot of respect for talent - so if he really is a talented athlete, why lower himself? His name will never be about sports 1st after this magilla.

  13. We all know how he got this endorsement. Association with the Kardashians alone. Annoying.
