Kim Kardashian Gets Monthly Magazined
I have said it in this space many many times. If you are a celebrity, want to be a celebrity, or have the way to tell a celebrity something, tell them never ever ever talk about your wonderful significant other in a monthly magazine. Never. A weekly one is ok if it is within three days of it hitting the newsstands.
The problem with doing these interviews is that they are done months in advance so by the time the magazine hits the market, something has probably happened to your relationship and you end up looking like an idiot. Fortunately, looking like an idiot is not hard for Kim Kardashian, but her interview in the December issue of Marie Claire is another warning for celebrities discussing their love lives to a monthly magazine. Some quotes from Kim about Kris Humphries include,
“I’m not worried about him at all.”
“We have a lot of trust, and I don’t think either of us would do anything to break that.”
“It makes life so easy.”
“He’s such a good guy; he is so down-to-earth, and it’s such a reality check.”
“He is a normal guy, and I just want to chill out and be normal and not get glammed up all the time.”
“Sometimes my life can be really intimidating for people, but he allows me to work and do what I’ve gotta do.”
You know what is missing though? Do any of you see any love here? All I see are the same thing I would hear from a friend or a refrigerator. Seriously, if you substitute refrigerator it kind of works. This is a woman who had been married for about a month when she gave the interview. Do you see any sparks? This is about as boring as her sex tape.

No, no love, same thing I was thinking as I read through the quotes. She could be talking about a dog or a warm pair of boots. LOVE the headline - ha!
ReplyDeleteShe looks different on the cover - is it the lack of makeup?
@Em: I agree, the cover photo looks great. Probably the understated makeup/photoshopping. Probably makes Kris H say, "Who is that?!?!?!"
ReplyDeleteIt was business, Kardashian business as usual.
ReplyDeletegreat photo but I think it has already been established Kim is a shameless fame whore....oh, and an idiot
ReplyDelete"It's such a good refrigerator; it's so down-to-earth, and it's such a reality check."
ReplyDeleteHuh. It does work. I know my Frigidaire is very down-to-earth; not like them uppity digital LG's with the ice makers.
“I’m not worried about the salt or the sulfites at all.”
ReplyDelete“We have a lot of trust, and I don’t think either of us would do anything to break that.”
“It makes life so easy.”
“it's such a good food; it's so down-to-earth, and it’s such a reality check.”
“it's a normal food, and I just want to chill out and be normal and not get glammed up all the time.”
“Sometimes my life can be really intimidating for people, but bacon allows me to work and do what I’ve gotta do.”
She looks absolutely beautiful on that cover, but she is still so ugly on the inside.
ReplyDeleteLMAO @nataliesinger!
ReplyDeleteIt sounds like she's talking about a golden retriever or a vibrator.
The most natural looking picture I've seen of Kim in years.
ReplyDeleteA refrigerator would at least offer you bacon.
ReplyDeleteI've never understood the smoooshed-up-against-the-wall pose. I mean, really, what is that supposed to be?
ReplyDelete"See this wall here? This could be you. Think about it - this beautiful woman is ok with almost-making-out with a wall. She would totally make out with you!"
ReplyDeleteI thought it was a refrigerator.
ReplyDeleteWho is that on the cover? Her bronzer/foundation isn't dark enough nor is the hair dark enough to be Kim. Looks nothing like her.
ReplyDeleteIS that Kim? Whoever she is is just amazing looking in that photo!
ReplyDeleteFirst, I love the headline too! Second, this looks like Kim from 2007. Third, I could say those things about the goldfish I once had. They made life easy; I trusted them. I could set up an automatic feeder, they did their own thing & let me be me. So Kim, next time just get a goldfish. Rhymes with "cold fish", which is one of the many words that could be used to describe you.
ReplyDeleteThe headline is the best part. Watch Marie Claire try to spin their old interview!
ReplyDeleteI will give kar-ass-Ian a small pass here. Why go gushing about your love in a public magazine? Saying how much you love someone shouldn't have to be a grandiose public thing. It is between you and your partner.
Oh wait. This is a kar-ass-Ian. She wouldn't have the class to keep things private.
I know she is probably photoshopped to hell and back, but she does look so much better with the natural face...
ReplyDeleteI think they made her eyes blue to match the cover? She does look really good, can't really deny it.
ReplyDeleteLMAO @ nataliesinger
ReplyDeleteShe does not say his name at all...
@figgy--I think it's just so she can show off her ring in a "natural" pose.
ReplyDeleteDude, she looks AMAZING on that cover. She should do her makeup like that all the time. Gorgeous.
ReplyDeleteI don't think she's wearing her everyday false eyelashes there! She always has them on. I have never understood wanting to wear them on a daily basis unless she is eyelashless.
ReplyDeleteWhat about the rumors that Kris is coming out with inside information about KK, including that her ass isn't real??
