Those persistent rumors that Russell Brand and Katy Perry's marriage is in trouble are starting to get louder. It is not just Russell's indiscretions which are being spoken about now, but also Katy Perry has supposedly got so close to Tore Nissen that his girlfriend quit her job to join him on tour. Yeah, you don't do that under normal situations. For months you have heard little things here and little things there and lets face it, Russell went from having sex with multiple partners everyday to being with Katy and Katy alone forever. It has been a difficult transition for Russell and more and more frequently he is caught out without his wedding ring on and more and more stories have emerged about how it sometimes takes hours for Katy to get a hold of him and that it has happened with more frequency.

ReplyDeleteShe really did not need to marry Russell Brand. I don't understand why this happened. Was it a business arrangement? Her latest album seems to be wildly successful. I don't think of Brand and Perry as a power couple. Are they supposed to be?
Yes I agree with GrowFarmington, they got together very quickly and then the next thing you know, married. Not sure what they were thinking. It's sad that so many celebrities do this, they don't seem to care how many divorces they have under their belts by the time they hit 30.

ReplyDeleteAnyway she did say that she was just about to wrap up her California Dreams tour so she could have some flex time coming up if she wants it. I agree that a marriage can't work if you are always apart, but it's wrong to expect she put things on hold to make it work. His IMDB says all his projects are in post production so he has the time right now too. Brad and Angelina may be on to something with the whole, "one person works at a time" rule I think they're rumoured to have.
I see in that pic she has her ring on! I only her performance part, my bad!

ReplyDeleteWell, when she was in Chicago the first time n canceled. She had a mini breakdown. A gynocologist was called in n then she spazzed. Must've found out she had the herp or something. But my source says it was Hubby related. Marriage is hard, but both parties have to work at it.

ReplyDeleteTough marriage match, those two, but I always liked them. Wild but head on her shoulders smart girl tames wild man sort of thing, like Demi & Bruce back in the day. But the being apart - really doesn't work in a marriage. The Other & I have 2 week rule. Jobs come and go but if it's a good one, a relationship can be for life; can be your port in any storm...the only earth that doesn't shift under your feet. Especially in the crazy entertainment business. But I think young stars feel like relationships are great but disposable and if you treat them so, then they will be.

ReplyDeleteI love them together. I hope the rumors aren't true. I do think it's impossible to stay together when you are always apart. They got married and then both went on tours and kept working in completely different parts of the globe. Even if you are really, really in love, that is very hard on a marriage.

Remember the time when musicians released an album, went on tour and then disappeared for at least two years? Those were the days.

ReplyDeleteMina - although I don't love them and might find them annoying too, I rather have Katy. They both played here in Brazil and Katy was a pro, on time and really made an effort. Rihanna made everyone in a festival (people watching shows since afternoon and really tired in the end of the day. I know because I was there and I was exhausted) wait almost 2 hours because she was partying in her dressing room. And made a half assed concert.

ReplyDeleteShe was on Ellen, she talked about slowing down after her tour was over & she had an announcement which I was SURE was that she was going on a break b/c she was pregnant, but instead, she just debuted her new single.
