J.R. Martinez Wins Dancing With The Stars
Despite a one point lead after the final dances, Robert Kardashian could not get enough fan votes and was runner-up to J.R. Martinez. I think he should blame Kim. I was kind of bummed that Ricki Lake finished third. Kind of bummed for her. I really dislike Derek Hough though so it would have been a win/lose if she had won. It is kind of like Karina Smirnoff winning (for the first time in ten years). It is a win/lose thing. I will say that J.R. deserved to win, but that Robert Kardashian did way better than I ever thought he would and now I need him to go disappear again because I don't need E! thinking that he would be perfect for his own reality show. Just seeing him on Lamar and Khloe was plenty. I don't need to see him play sexual roulette each week.
I'm happy for JR, I would have been happy for Robert, and I'm thrilled Ms. Lake did not win.
ReplyDeleteI'm ready for the next season to start.
Did watch a single episode.
ReplyDeleteI did not watch a single episode, but the clips on the news that I did see, he was very good.
ReplyDeleteGood for him.
And thank goodness that Kardashian brother did not win.
I agree with everything mikey said.
ReplyDeleteI think I saw a lot of growth with Rob during the show, and I truly hope he continues with it. I feel that he truly has an opportunity to break away from his family & do something more normal and definitely more respectable. I think he sees the way his mom & sisters live their lives and I think he's conflicted; I think he knows better. It's hard to break away from family, but sometimes you have to because it's better for your own well being. He needs to run far, far away.
@ParisSucksLiterally - AMEN! I uttered "Thank god!" when I saw a Kardashian didn't win. My biggest fear would be somehow those people would be validated again. I am hoping this Kim Wedding disaster ends this families Machavelllian hold on the nation! LOL!
ReplyDeleteDid it seem like Carrie Ann was sucking up to Robert K? It was icky. Plus, how did he ever get more call-in votes than Ricki? I'm convinced that his mom paid a robo calling service on the down low.
ReplyDeleteWhen everyone had their stories of struggles (war injuries & sexual abuse), Robert had a "poor little rich boy" story of how he struggled to make his dead dad proud of him while he was studying so hard at USC. Please. Just another entitled brat.
He did greatly improve over time. but I don't think he was THAT good. Hopefully he'll use this opportunity to break away from his horrid family.
The one thing I never understood thsi season was all the fuss about Rob K. being a "Cinderella story." Yes, he had no dance experience and, yes, he did dramatically improve. But J.R. had no dance experience either. His natural talent and hard work shone through from the beginning but he was doing FAR harder choreography and the judges seemed quite blase about it while fawning over Rob K.
ReplyDeletehappy for him and since Prospect Park put All My Children on indefinte hold he really needs that extra prize money that comes with winning. Happy for his charity also.
ReplyDeleteVery, Very happy for JR Martinez.
ReplyDeleteThis is the first season I have not watched in a loooooooooong time. I'm so happy for Karina and JR. I always root for Karina. She seems like a great teacher.
ReplyDeleteSo glad the Kardashian and Eric Hough did not win.
I was also one that was glad Derek and Ricki didn't win and happy for J.R. and Karina. It's about time for her! Sick of Derek winning!
ReplyDeleteCan't stand this show but am happy anytime a Kardashian loses.
ReplyDeleteI don't watch, but I'm glad he won.
ReplyDeleteI don't watch, but I'm glad he won.
ReplyDeleteSorry for the duplicate post
ReplyDeleteGO JR Martinez!!!
ReplyDeleteWhat would make me happy is if next year they honestly let the contestants and the coaches be a true random selection. As good as Derek is, I am tired of him always getting one of the better contestants. Ricki Lake had past dance experience so really, Derek had a headstart with her right there.
ReplyDeleteFrankly I would love to see Maks win...
So happy to see JR win. Seems like a great guy and he was the best dancer by a mile.
ReplyDeleteRob did well for himself and he doesn't seem quite as bad as the rest of his family. If he can use this success as a means to become more of his own person, good for him.
