Jacqueline Laurita Sued For $8M

Another Real Housewife, another scandal involving money that was allegedly improperly used. Jacqueline Laurita and her husband were sued for $8M because of the clothing company that was founded by her husband and his brother. Apparently the two brothers with the knowledge o Jacqueline were using the company as their personal piggy bank and drained about $8M from the company accounts. Uh oh. Apparently the money was used for private jets, gifts to family members, parties, lavish vacations and so much more. This also could have been the reason the company filed for bankruptcy. Radar Online got the court documents and it is pretty shocking what they spent the money on from the company. First of all they spent about $330K on 11 leased cars in a four year period. They spent like $2M on credit cards which was never paid. The family members were all getting $1M for doing no work. You get the feeling that someone might be going to jail.

  1. Ah yes. Another legitimate business operation out of my state. Awesome.

Can't say this surprises me in the least. I think all these Jersey Housewives peeps are hella shady, except for Kathy, who is too normal for this show.

  2. I really hate when women (or men) wear pantyhose with open-toed shoes. Makes me crazy and vommy.

  4. I HOPE someone is going to jail. In a world where you "eat" a $5.00 sandwich and get your kid taken to Family services for a bit, then by comparison these people need to spend a little time in jail.

  5. Wow. Teresa is somewhere giggling. Another faux riche lifestyle.

What happened to living within their means?

I am going to go take a drive in my Honda now...to Ross to find a dress I need for a party. Hey Bravo, I am available for a show too! I just need an Amex!

  6. @SueEllen,

I can not agree more. It is so weird to me that people wear pantyhose at all anymore. It reminds me of my mother in the late 80's .

  7. LMAO, Sue Ellen. Plus she's wearing those shoes on the Atlantic City Boardwalk. Bitch is going to break a heel.

That's the problem with these Real Housewives shows. If they REALLY had money, they wouldn't need to do this crap. I definitely think the Jersey broads are living beyond their means. The exceptions are Caroline and Kathy. They look legit to me. I kind of thought Jacqueline was too, although I've heard rumblings that she and her husband had filed for bankruptcy in the past. Plus, any business man getting involved in that Black Water product must have crap for brains.

  8. aw, i still wear pantyhose. usually either black or like a cream if i'm wearing browns. also usually when i'm wearing ankle boots. but i don't call them pantyhose, i call them tights.

  9. Tights to me are opaque, whereas pantyhose are sheer. Plus, you're wearing them with boots that are most likely closed at the toe, and not open shoes with the control toe showing through the opening on the heel.

    I'm skeeved!!!!!!!~

  10. You know what is even worse than pantyhose with open-toed shoes?

A gold ankle bracelet inside pantyhose with open (or closed)- toed shoes!

  11. ugh, disgusting, years ago I worked for an accounting firm that the Managing Partner expensed his daughters wedding and my raise was less becuase his "little girl" needed top of the line champagne.

the only revenge we got is when his assistant blew the whistle on them to the labor board for cheating the support staff out of their overtime. F'd them up good.

YES!!!!!!!! If that is not the epitome of white trash, then I don't know what is.

  13. I hope ENTY copied the IRS on this. If they charged millions in personal expenses and didn't reimburse the company then it becomes a taxable benefit to that person. Taxes plus interest plus penalties.

@ Zuzu Petals - Yes, that is pretty priceless....So upwardly mobile. Pantyhose free here in Texas. Too damn hot. Tights sometimes in the winter though.

  15. Nude pantyhose/tights/whatever are just WRONG. Sheer any other color is fine (black, gray, navy, etc.), as long as it's NOT with open toes. I mean...

  16. They're thick as thieves ya know....so how's Caroline going to spin this?

  17. @ Zuzu Petals & Sue Ellen Mishkey: A dimante studded french pedicure sticking out of the "sandal toe" nude hose that you still see the toe seam, with the gold ankle bracelet.

  18. French pedicures are just plain GROSS to me! Never got their appeal. It doesn't help matters that I HATE feet.

  19. Hey hey hey. Stop with the pantyhose hate. There is no way I can wear a skirt at work with the bar legs God gave me. No no no. Not gonna happen. Those hose hide just enough of the imperfections.

But I agree with the open toed shoes and ankle bracelet comments.

    Carry on ;)

I wear nylons. The word pantyhose is old lady-ish, I wear nylons. I'm wearing nude coloured nylons right now with open toed shoes and no one can tell me it doesn't look good. My legs are pasty white (kind of blue) and it's now too cool to go bare-legged. Nude with a bit of shimmer make your legs look fantastic.

I have tons of shoes, many of which are open-toed. Some are summer open-toe but some are winter. The ones I'm wearing now are winter, they are a thicker leather with a different kind of finish. Others are suede and don't look right in the summer.

I hate seeing a woman wearing bare legs in the winter (in a cold climate). It's amateurish. I also hate seeing bare legs in boots. As for tights (opaque), I have two large drawers full, one drawer for black and the other for other colours. I never wear pants, I love tights and nylons.

As for the picture, her nylons need a shimmer because they look kind of ashy.

  21. Let me weigh in on the pantyhose with open toe debate. UGLY! I wear pantyhose with my skirts because I can't afford plastic surgery and my thighs are saggy from losing 170 lbs. I also have a lot of open toe shoes - so I had a major dilema until I found pantyhose (or whatever you want to call them) that are toeless! There is a little slot where your big toe goes through to hold them in place (like flip flops). The only thing you need to do is get the color that matches your skin tone. I get them at Macy's.

  23. I go pantyhose free or wear subtle shimmer if I'm wearing open toed shoes. In the winter, I wear opaque hose.

Who the hell styled this bitch? I like the dress, but open toes with hose has ALWAYS been a big no-no!

  24. Subtle shimmer as in shimmery lotion. Oops.

Depends on the shoe. I'm defending it. On her, the nylons don't match the shininess of the dress and the patent leather shoes. If she were wearing shimmery nude nylons (or a better word could be stockings), it would be good.

  26. Maybe they're toe less pantyhose?

I LOATHE pantyhose but sometimes they are a necessary evil.

I wonder if this has anything to do with why Jacqueline was not on the reunion?

  27. I have always kind of gotten a weird vibe off her. She seems as if she's the most innocent of the group, the most sensitive, but how can she be married into the Manzo family and still be babe in the woods? Not to mention the fact that her daughter is a straight-up spoiled brat. I think she's kind of a professional victim--she lets other people do bad things around her and is willing to take the rewards but acts hurt and surprised when the negative consequences arrive--as in: allows Chris to buy her daughter a car (lease?) but will act stunned that they are getting sued for the fact that the money for the car was stolen from her husband's investors.

  28. Gladys, she was a stripper when her husband met her, so there's nothing innocent about her. I think it's just stupidity that makes her seem so naive. :)
