I Love Sweeps Month ** Graphic**

As good as sweeps month is for all the television shows on the air, it can be even better for the local news. They will do or say anything to get you to watch the news that night. Earlier this week was the expose on In-N-Out which really was three minutes of wild speculation, but the commercials on the radio got me to watch. All day yesterday, one of the local stations was advertising about a real housewife from Orange County and how she had the greatest story ever to share. For once I was not let down. It was a great story.

The background is that this nurse from Orange County got hooked on coke. Well, I say she was hooked on coke. She made herself sound more noble. I say she got hooked and then started to deal. She says that she had a terminally ill husband so she needed the money so started to deal coke. Whatever. She says that she used to make about $10,000 a day. What makes me think she was not doing this out of the goodness of her heart was that she never mentions spending the money for her terminally ill husband, but rather for shoes and birthday presents. $10,000 a day buys a whole lot of shoes.

Anyway, eventually she got caught but instead of going to jail, police made her an informant. On what was supposed to be routine drug sting where she sells coke to a dealer who is then arrested, the dealer instead threw her down on the bed, lifted her skirt, cocked and aimed a gun at her head looking for money he thought she had and that he wanted and was seconds away from killing her when the police burst into the room.

  2. I've never seen a dealer rough up someone so gently.

  3. So...does that mean she is off the hook for selling drugs?

Let's hope she makes some better life decisions after this close call.

  4. ahmmm... How can you make $10,000 a day selling coke..? Isn't it cheaper then Meth nowadays?

Also @Rose, agree, such a gentle attacker. If only all attackers were so... contained.

  5. Aside from what this woman did, I think it's crazy that the cops put her in this situation, and that just maybe, they should have put an undercover cop in there instead of a civilian.

Her pleading doesn't sound all that desperate either.

  8. It reminded me of Breaking Bad as well. These guys are not big bad asses at all. She would have been really afraid to roll over on a big guy. They would just kill her and not ask any questions. Doubt they caught any big dealers in this sting because these guys will NOT tell them who their supplier is. No way.

  9. Coke is definitely not cheaper than meth. One can easily make $10K a day if that's their full time job.
