Has anyone seen Gwyneth Paltrow with Madonna since she and Guy Ritchie split? Has anyone ever seen a photo of Madonna and Guy together since they split? I wonder if they even talk to each other. Madonna and The Goopster used to be bff but now it appears that Gwyneth has chosen sides in the split and has gone with Guy. I guess other explanations could be that there were no other tables available for dinner so she had to share or her eyesight is so bad that she thought Jaqui was Madonna. Nahh.
The trio ate dinner together last night and I have to say it kind of surprised me. I guess I always thought that someday Gwyneth and Madonna would patch things up, but I'm not so sure now. Lots of people can remain friends with both pieces of a couple if they split, but I think in this case as in many others, once you choose you can give up on speaking to the other. I think Gwyneth made the right choice. Plus, maybe she will get an acting job out of it.
Exactly. Or maybe it was Madonna that dropped Goop....after she received a bouquet of hydrangeas.

ReplyDeleteMadge does not do girlfriends, she never has, she keeps women around for a brief period and disposes them once their usefulness runs out. You don't see her and Rosie hanging out anymore.
I think the longest lasting girlfriend she has is Ingrid Casares and that's cus Ingrid's hopeful that Madonna will leave men for her.
And she was friends with Sandra Bernhard for quite awhile.

ReplyDeleteA lot of people are saying the Chris Martin thing is not true and it's only because of the Tracy Anderson situation. Apparently on every message board from here to Mars, the feeling is that Chris Martin is too old for Madonna. However, I could TOTALLY see her going after Chris in a "you stole my trainer/best friend, I stole your husband" move or something to prove that she can pull in someone other than 20 year old "models" who would latch on to Rosie O'Donnell if it got them press!
I personally don't enjoy Gwen's uptightiness, and haughty attitude. Like Rosie (who copied everything Oprah), she copied everything Madonna, from the trainer, to the microbiotics, and then trying to become a pop star.
ReplyDeleteMadonna is Madonna. An original. Always thrived, never made excuses for being a brat. And never stuck with a man who obviously treats her like dirt, and is embarrassed to be seen with her in public (looking at you Chris Martin).
And I think it's Gwyneth who throws away her girlfriends after they're no use to her. Remember her bff Wynona Rider?
Just thinking of Gwyneth calling Lenny Kravitz, with her nasal uppity nerve grating tone "Leonard", is enough to piss me off on a lovely sunny day.

ReplyDeleteI remember reading that the reason between the split between Goop and Wynona was because Goop stole a role from her (Wynona had the script for the part, Goop saw it and decided she wanted it for herself). I don't remember the part, but my foggy memory was it was perhaps Shakespeare in Love (which she got her Oscar for). And if that was the case, Ryder probably would have been completely wrong for it and not won an Oscar herself, however regardless of the role, it shows how "respectful" Goop is in her supposedly close friendships...
