Evelyn Lauder Has Died
Evelyn Lauder, the daughter-in-law of Estee Lauder, and the creator of the pink ribbon for cancer awareness and the Breast Cancer Research Foundation has died of cancer at the age of 75. Back in 1992 she and her husband financed the pink ribbons which they handed out at department stores to remind people about getting breast exams. Since then Congress declared October as Breast Cancer Awareness Month and Evelyn managed to raise over $300M by herself for her research foundation. She will truly be missed.
