David Arquette Goes Home
Apparently more voters on Dancing With The Stars watch Nancy Grace than old episodes of Friends. Despite scoring much better than Nancy Grace, David Arquette was sent packing last night on Dancing With The Stars. As I said yesterday, it is a tough call because the viewers who vote on this show are not the same demographic as the people who vote on American Idol. These are not 14 year old kids except for last week when Kim Kardashian tricked them all into voting for Robert Kardashian. The 14 year old vote has never been seen before in this show, but it is now and will probably mean that we will get another Kardashian next cycle or the one following. I thought David Arquette was incredible. This is a guy who never really seems to take anything too serious but he worked his butt off and you can tell he took this whole thing seriously and was committed to it and did way better than I ever imagined he would do. I also think it's great that he has a relationship with Courteney that does not dissuade her from showing up every week and supporting him.
Call me cynical, but I have a feeling that it is Courteney's relationship with ABC that has her there "supporting" him.
ReplyDeleteI'm not cynical like RJ on this one. It's rare when a couple can be good friends after a divorce, but it does happen.
ReplyDeleteNah, I think their friendship is the real deal RJ. Courtney pushed for counseling before and after they got married to make sure they were going into it with no blindfolds on. I'm usually a cynic too, but I think they genuinely get along.
ReplyDeleteCC and David just sold a new show they are producing together They are still business partners. I'm as cynical as it comes, but after hearing them both on Stern and knowing they still actively work together, I think their friendship is legit.
ReplyDeleteOf course, it doesn't hurt Cougar Town (another show CC and Arquette produce, along with the great Bill Lawrence) if CC is in the audience at Dancing with the Stars.
Awww, he shouldn't have gone yet, he was getting so good and I loved his attitude! He seemed so funny and sweet. I'll miss him on there.
ReplyDeleteI'll give credit to CC and David, I have no idea what their relationship is really like, but it appears they are both working very hard to protect their daughter during their breakup and divorce. How often does that happen in H-wood.
ReplyDeleteI'm not even watching this season but I feel like Rob should have gone home simply for what Kim K. pulled on Twitter.
ReplyDeleteI saw David in a couple of interviews during this & he did seem really serious about wanting to win.
This sucks. Nancy Grace is an oaf. Poor DA. Time for Celebrity Rehab.
ReplyDeleteIs that Britney Spears in the right hand photo?!?
