30 Days Equals 4.5 Hours For Lindsay Lohan

When you think about how short the jail sentences are in LA County, you wonder why Lindsay Lohan even bothers to spend huge legal fees to try to keep herself out of jail. It also makes you wonder whether the judges actually think that threatening 30 day jail sentences is a deterrent. Lindsay checked into jail last night at about 8:45pm and was out the door with her 30 days completed about 1:30 this morning. It would have even been faster, but apparently there is always a big backup on Sunday nights with people trying to "serve their sentences" before the work week begins on Mondays.

  1. It's such an effing waste of money to even put her through the process. I thought she was going to get about 6 days for this.

  2. Raise your hand if you are surprised...that's what I thought.

  3. Fucking joke.

Truly doubt regular folks get as many chances as she does. There she will be again tonight, smirking her way to yet another boozing party.

If the law thinks that you should be responsible for your actions, that Lindsay needs to take charge of her own life, then stop arresting people who are harming themselves: taking drugs, etc.

But Lindsay was accused of driving under the influence and stealing. She was hurting others, putting others in harm's way, victimizing business people trying to make a buck in these difficult times (so not having to pose nude to make a buck, or a million!) NO ONE gets away with such repeated "misdemeanors" like Lindsay does.

Shame on the legal system. An utter and complete joke.

  4. Look at that face 25 going on 50. Too bad she can't really see herself for what she is a has been.

  5. i thought she'd go for about a week. duh on my part i guess. laws are for people who follow rules, and people like her don't think the rules apply to them. the rest of us are at her mercy. hopeful she doesn't hurt anyone but herself if there is an accident.

  7. I don't think she's treated differently than others. If you read the post it says that Sunday is busy because all sorts of people are doing the same thing in hopes of getting out for Monday. Reality is that the jails in California are over crowded and the courts have been ordering mass releases. Like most of you I would like to see her do jail time but realistically I would rather make sure that a murderer or rapist stays jailed instead.

  8. I understand the jails are overcrowded, but keeping 1 more person wouldn't have done anything. This girl doesn't learn lessons and she needs to pay. Now that she's out, she's just going to keep doing what she's doing. One day she'll either end up killing herself or someone else.

  9. The jail officials probably didn't want that walking plague any where near the rest of the population. Hopefully she spent the 4 hours in a broom closet or something.

  10. I think some people need to be voted out of office. Re-elect nobody!

  11. Lindsay is willing to pay the huge legal fees because she enjoys the drama of it all. She could have been done with some of this years ago. If she is not in the tabloid news, she does not exist.

  12. @Daveb - I agree, it's true.

But why spend our hard-earned dollars on prosecuting her? If at the end she's not going to be paying at all for her crimes.

Just laugh it off, and say, oh, that Lindsay is at it again! And stop making a joke out of the "judicial" prosecuting system.

  13. Just to clarify, she didn't get a 30 day sentence. She got a 300 day sentes with 270 days suspended.

the real test is if she can complete all the community service in the timeframe the Judge set for her.

If she screws up the community service then the Judge will make her do the 270 days and then she will do some real time at county jail.

  14. Rita, that is what I said to the Deputy I spoke to. I asked what is NOT violent about carjacking while gakked up on cocaine?

I KNOW any of us would have ROTTED in a cell for months. BULLSHIT she was treated like everyone else.

SLAM the dept w email and phone calls! FUCK THIS SHIT.

  15. @parissuckslitterally - Viva la Revolutione?

I do agree with you that the sheriff needs to be checked, and made sure that he is not getting anything on the side for his special treatment of Lindsay.

It simply boggles the mind. His actions, and words, are at war with the judge's decisions. Often!

Remember how the judge forced Paris Hilton to go back to jail and serve her sentence accordingly, even if the sheriff had let her out early?

Lindsay's judge needs to do just that. Apply the law to its full extent. NO exception!

  16. This is just crazy. Why even go through the process if everyone knows she is not going to serve any time?

  17. It's a waste of our tax money for those of us who live in California to pay the jails & sheriffs to process people in and out for a few hours.

Either get serious about serving the jail time or change the punishment. We can't afford it.

  18. Even with that bloated face and jacked up lips, she looks smug. Fuck this trick.

Jenny hit the nail on the head. She craves publicity. There are millions....MILLIONS I SAY...pictures of her going in and out of court. She needs Celebrity Rehab. Poor wittle wewo.

  20. @timebob - so if 30 days = 4.5 hours, then 270 days more will only = 40.5 hours. I'm sure Lindsay is quaking in her boots about that.

Hmm...how many hours of community service does she have to serve? It will cost her less time in jail than to do the community service. And with LiLo, every hour lost is another john unserviced. Time is money, folks.

  21. I understand the whole "jail overcrowding" story but honestly WHAT is the point of serving for 4 hours?

    So, so stupid.

  22. Lindsay described the jail as "Cold" - saying it's one of the worst places she's ever been in her life. Funny, that's what Wilmer Valderrama and Samantha Ronson both said after being withing sniffing distance of Lindsay's vagina.

I think it should be that if you are arrested once or twice, you can do the quick jail time. But the time served should increase with each conviction thereafter.

  24. @Seachia the few hours only applies to sentences under 90 days.

Over 90 days then it is 20% which is at least a full 54 days.

I know it doesn't seem like much but to Lindsay who can't be alone for 5 minutes it is a nightmare.
