Thomas Jane Brings You Light Sunday Reading
I always wondered what fascinating tidbit made Patricia Arquette fall in love with Thomas Jane. I mean this is the same woman who found Nicolas Cage fascinating enough for years to stay with him through his temper and being follicly challenged. Well, in the Sunday edition of the Los Angeles Times, Thomas describes how, as a homeless teen in Los Angeles, he was basically a homeless gay hooker. "As James Dean said, you're going to have one arm tied behind your back if you don't accept people's sexual favors. When I was a kid out here in L.A., I was homeless. I didn't have any money and I was living in my car. I wasn't averse to going down to Santa Monica Boulevard and letting a guy buy me a sandwich. Know what I mean?"
He said that he does not really think the same sex relationships were necessarily about money, but also exploring his sexual identity. I also think he would do it again or has done it again or continues to do it repeatedly. "Until you've tasted the food, you don't know whether you'll like it or not, as my mom always said."
My mom used to say that too. It brings a whole other level to what she was saying though.
