Rashida Jones Says Michael Jackson Was A Little Alien Like

Rashida Jones, who is one of my top ten favorite people in the world was interviewed for Playboy this month and spent a little bit of the interview talking about Michael Jackson. As you can imagine, being the daughter of Quincy Jones, Rashida spent a great deal of time hanging out with Michael Jackson. I mean she was a child, Michael thought he was one so it all worked out well.

In the interview she says, "We were at each other’s house all the time. He was definitely a little bit of an alien, for sure, and when I was young, it felt as if he was my age, not 18 years older, but with just a little bit more pep. Later, we’d go out on the town together. He always wore those surgical masks. Once, my sister, Michael, Emmanuel Lewis and I got in a car with Super Soakers and went by a movie theater and supersoaked the hell out of people waiting in line. They had no idea they’d just been supersoaked by the King of Pop."

18 years older with a little more pep. That is a great description. I bet that is the first time in awhile Webster has had his name dropped in an interview.

  1. awww, I love her.

I remember when the molestation allegations were happening, and Nicole Richie said he never tried to touch her in any inappropriate way. All I thought was, "yes, because you are a GIRL."

  2. Sorry, that super soaker thing is pretty rude.

  4. Janet Jackson told a story about him once..they did the same type thing. Something about driving around and being silly.

Wonder what happened to him at about the age of 14 that had him mentally stuck at that age......

  6. I'm a little disappointed that she'd do Playboy...but I still like her.

  7. It's not like she's naked or anything. This is mild and seems like a small interview. She's such a darling

I really am interested in what Corey Feldman has to say as well. But, I am sure he has been threatened by some pretty powerful people if he talks. Pretty sad.

  9. Am I the last person on Earth to learn Rashida is Quincy's daughter?!?! Love her!

    @parissucks: Hell yah!

@bluebonnetmom: Has anyone done a timeline as to the alleged molestation of the Coreys (or at least Feldman) and his/their association with MJ????

  11. Didn't Corey say something recently about how Hollywood was filled with pedophiles? Meaning more than just MJ?

  12. Those nice memories wouldn't exactly be the same if she had been a boy.

  13. I love Rashida. She seems refreshingly down to earth and grounded considering the wealth and celebrities she was surrounded by growing up.

I thought the super soaker thing was kind of funny. I also imagined Michael going "hee-hoo" as they drove off.

  14. Rashida must have the most interesting friends and stories. I wonder what Peggy Lipton is up to. I never hear anything about her.

  15. Re: Peggy Lipton, I know she published her memoir a few years ago. Last I saw she played Kristen Bell's mom in "When in Rome." Unfortunately she seems to have resorted to some facial plastic surgery, which is a shame because I don't think she needed it.

  16. Love Rashida. She is funny and SMART. Sure she went into showbiz like a lot of Hollywood progeny but she got a college degree--from Harvard no less-- first. (You listenin' Kate Hudson?)

One of my brothers lives in Santa Barbara county and when I visited him in 2005/2006 he took me up in his plane. We flew over Michael Jackson's ranch, which is REMOTE. All I could think was, "well, all the way out here no one could hear the screams!" Creepy.

  17. Yep she's a girl! Wonder what is up with Neverland now. His kids want it to be an animal sanctuary.

  18. People worship MJ but won't forgive Mel Gibson. Crazy.
