National Enquirer Blind Item
WHAT movie star/college student has been rattling the cages of his fellow undergraduates because he never shows up to class? The actor regularly sends his assistants in his place and has them record the lecture for him to review at a later date!
James Franco? Although, I thought he was beyond undergraduate work.
ReplyDeleteYeah, thats what I was thinking...
ReplyDeleteOne of the Harry Potter actors? Rupert Grint or the gut who played Draco?
ReplyDeleteIt's not Franco; he's doing post-grad work. Wasn't Taylor Lautner going to school somewhere?
ReplyDeletehmmm. yeah def not franco. last i heard lautner was taking online courses at a community college but college wasn't out of the question for later. he didn't have time now.
ReplyDeleteif it didn't specify movie star my guess would have been spencer pratt because he's in school and i could SO see him doing this.
OH i think that sixth sense kid... haley joel whatever, goes to NCU
ReplyDeletedammit.... NYU
ReplyDeleteoh, for the luxury of being able to skip a boring, endless lecture in a giant hall with 200 other sleeping students and listen to it later. I would absolutely have done it if I could have.
ReplyDeleteIt seems to imply Franco specifically --"rattling the cages" i.e. Rise of the Planet of the Apes, but I agree with everyone that Franco finished his undergrad degree, unless he's gone back for a different undergrad degree.
ReplyDeleteWhat SkittleKitty said - I think it's Franco due to the "cage" reference, I just think whoever wrote it is an idiot and doesn't realize he's way past undergrad.
ReplyDeleteJames Franco. He's gone back to college.
ReplyDeletePretty cool job for an assistant.
ReplyDeleteI think it is James Franco as well and just not written correctly.
ReplyDeleteWhy would that bother anyone? Except for the jealousy aspect (because yeah, I would've loved that too). I mean, if it's first or second year, those are normally large classes, who would noticed. And if it's third or fourth year, smaller classes but unless movie production equpiment is brought in or the recording equipment makes noise, who is it bothering?
ReplyDeleteThis just sounds like a lame attempt to make someone look bad.
What degree is Franco getting at RISD?
ReplyDeleteIt could be a BFA, as his other degrees are in literature/writing/English.
I agree with Anita.
ReplyDeleteHow is this different from someone else not showing up to class and getting notes from a friend? Moreover, a lot of professors put lectures online anyway.
It's not Franco. He's not currently taking any classes. He's been accepted to the University of Houston creative writing doctoral program, but deferred until next year because he's busy making movies.
ReplyDeleteAs long as the actor is listening to the lectures and doing the work himself, who cares? I have professors/teachers who read almost verbatim from the textbooks, so what are you really missing in some instances? It depends on the class.
ReplyDeleteNo recording classes where I went to law school. There isn't a professor who would allow it.
