Mystery Man, Box Wine & Baby Supplies

New video of Deborah Bradley, the mother or Baby Lisa, has emerged. This is a strange video. It shows Deborah with a man, who has not been identified. It shows the couple buying box wine and baby supplies. I have a couple of questions here. Is the baby at home? Who is the man? My theory is that maybe she was having an affair with this guy and wanted to be with him and the baby was in the way of that. I think that is what happened in that South Carolina case where the woman drove her kids into the lake. My other theory is that the guy came over to the house and after enjoying some box wine and whatever happens after that, the man took the baby with him. This is a very strange twist to the case, but Deborah has the keys to making it bust wide open.

  1. I think it was determined to be her brother

  2. They said it was her brother on GMA this morning.

  3. I just hate to think it but the mother is starting to look kind of suspicious. Perhaps she thought she could get away with it like Casey Anthony?

  4. drinking too much wine with the baby home would explain why she didn't wake up, presuming her version of the story is true.

  5. or, the brother looks young. She might be buying it for him cause he can't.

  6. I hate this story so much. I totally think the mom did it.

  7. Sadly, the mother is probably involved, but think about it if she didn't. I don't know how you would defend yourself if you were actually innocent.

I am glad to hear that is her brother. Where is this poor baby? I just hate this whole thing.

  9. Enty, he's her brother(not her lover) and i hope a happy end for this story

  10. Why would she be buying baby supplies if she was planning to get rid of the baby later? I don't see this at all... the only explanation, if she did have something to do with the baby's disappearance, has to be an accident being covered up. Which isn't good either... but still. I don't know - it's so hard to tell anymore. I just want to believe that baby is still alive somewhere out there... the stranger abduction theory at least gives us hope for baby Lisa's life.

  12. Yes-and this tape was recorded prior to her husband going to work, so he would have been home with the kids. There is no story here. I am thinking she probably bought the wine for her underaged brother and everyone is trying not to make a big deal out of it as it takes away from where Lisa might be. This visit to the store means nothing. It does however, show that she was purchasing items one would not think to purchase if they had a diabolical plan to kill their child.

  13. Man, I know a LOT of parents who would be in deep shit if buying a box of wine were the big deal they are making it out to be. While I believe Mom is probably involved, branding her with a giant Scarlet Letter for buying a box of wine is kind of ridiculous. :/

  14. @Not-I think when the video aired it seemed like a big deal because the cops actually requested the video based upon a receipt they found in the home. Many thought that she didn't tell them about the trip and perhaps there was an affair. Now we know that it is her brother and no scandal. LE may have even been simply trying to verify her story-that she went shopping that day and followed up with the video, just to see if there was anything out of the ordinary. Obviously not.

  16. As soon as you hear that the parents aren't cooperating, it's not good

  17. The mom's always tearful on the tube-the dad,not so much. Does that mean anything? I don't know.

  18. So the video showed the mom buying wine and baby stuff. No intent to murder. With her brother. No affair. No story. No break in the case. I mean, something isn't right because of the kidnapper stole the phones, and the fact that no one woke up during the break in which, when recreated, was very loud. And the baby isn't the only child - there are two older brothers who were there, weren't they? What did they hear?

  19. I too find it strange that the dad does not seem as heartbroken as the mom, maybe he is private about that. And yes, did the brothers hear anything and why aren't we hearing about them and are they a lot older?

  22. GMA also said that her body language was natural on the video. Some high profile attorneys and investigators have offered their services free of charge to the parents. An anonymous donor is paying some of the fees.

  23. every time i've heard he speak on tv she refers to her own child as "Baby Lisa"... wtf?

  24. I too wonder why everyone is circling around and her and not the Dad.

  25. Along those lines .. Didn't she previously only refer to the kid by the family nickname? Not really germane to my post, but got me pondering.

Anyway, my thought on this is - and I have no idea if this woman is involved or not - what a horror it would be to have the police thinking you are involved, knowing you are not but they are going by their statistical average thing about "someone the victim knows" and the hours, days and weeks roll by while you child is who knows where in who knows what condition. Times like this make me only slightly less upset I never had kids. I mean, while not likely, what if some loon saw this child out with her family at Walmart and planned this for weeks before perpetrating this? The police are seemingly certain usually but what if it IS a total stranger abduction ala some of these kids whom come home decades after the fact? Most of their families were under the microscope and only cleared totally years later. I guess the lesson of the Ramsey's should teach something. Or not.

  26. I was reading up on this case last night and someone in the comments of a local article (there) said it was her brother and she was helping him buy supplies for a party (?). Supposedly.

I also wondered who was with the kids while she was away. I read the transcript of an interview w/ her and she seemed to not be able to answer questions very well. Lots of pauses and Uhhh, ummm. But maybe that is b/c she is overwhelmed, emotional, etc.?? I don't know what to think about this case.

  27. Susan Smith was the woman in North Carolina. She drowned her children for a man's love.

  28. @i Susan Smith was in SOUTH Carolina not North. Big difference if you are from NC! ;)

@Rickatoo Totally not unusual for parents to call the baby "Baby X". I think they do it to remind the older kids to be gentle with the baby.

I have no idea what to think about this case but I hope this baby is found safe.

When I am stressed, and someone is asking me questions, I am not so well spoken. I once failed a lie detector test when I worked at a movie theater as a teen, and someone stole $$ from the cash register - I never had access to the register, wasn't at work the day it was stolen, but the whole process was overwhelming. Of course, my managers knew I wasn't responsible...but I can't imagine if my child were missing and I was being questioned, when all I could think about is where is he, is he safe/living/breathing/etc. My heart breaks for this mom and any mom who has had their child taken from them involuntarily. I pray they find Baby Lisa safe from harm and return her to her family.
