International Blind Items

As I have said before, sometimes I get blind items from different parts of the world. Some of them can be really juicy like the two I am going to post below. The problem is that I don't really know who these people are and have no way of checking if things are true or not. In the two cases below, I have reason to believe both are true because of who they came from and they would be in a position to know. One is from China and one is from Korea. The person who gave me these is the same person who gave me one of my most famous international blind items which also involved an American so made it more relevant here. It was a long blind item. You can find it by searching that label. Anyway, here you go.

China -

This actress is A++ list in China. She is actually more popular than the actresses from China who have made it big internationally. This actress wants nothing more than to finally make a movie outside of China, but her manager/controllers do not want to see her go fearing they would lose their gravy train. So, they blackmail her into staying. Several years ago they forced her to perform in a sex video with them and taped the entire thing. They promise to release it if she ever tries to leave and go out on her own.

Korea -

My source for the one above and this one says that for the one below from Korea that there was actually a cell phone video of it but that one of the managers grabbed the phone and smashed it. The memory card came out in the smashing and he grabbed it.

This A++ female singer was at a press conference announcing a new CD and tour and other projects she was working on. All kinds of standard stuff. Well, she got off the stage and went backstage and her manager was there and in front of about five people began beating her. Not just slaps, but like a physical beating. It was going to end horribly until someone finally pulled him off her. The reason? She never mentioned him or thanked him during the press conference. Get this. Later SHE apologized to him and begged him to continue as her manager.

  2. Well, I say fuck all of those bastards.

I hope all their nuts get caught in a grinder. Fuckers!

  3. Wow. The second one is vomit and violently emotion inducing! Glad I have rights, and can sue the pants off the shithead who dares.

Also, the only hot thing I know from Korea is an actor named Rain. The most gorgeous guy to ever grace the movie screen, and was introduced to us in the movie Ninja Assassin. Hot damn.

  8. The only A++ female Korean singer I can think of would be Boa. I don't feel like you can get much more A++ than her.

MAYBE Hyori Lee but... I'd still put my money on Boa.

  9. It can't be Gong Li. She did Memoirs of a Geisha, and it was an American Director. She also did Miami Vice, Hannibal Rising, What Women Want.

  10. Yep not Gong Li - even I've heard of her!

Hate reading things like this, hate it.

  11. @Pookie -- kisses right back, schmoopy!!

I only thought of Gong Li because she's a super-famous actress in China, and critically respected there and overseas, too. I'd think that she'd want to act in *better* films than the ones that have broken through here in the American market. I mean...Miami Vice isn't exactly a great addition to her filmography.

I'm interested to hear guesses from Chinese natives or people who've spent a considerable amount of time there.

Also, I STILL think that she should have been cast as Catwoman over that dullard Anne Hathaway.

  12. 2/after searching in Google,i say Hyori Lee because she was in promotion recently http://www.soompi.com/news/lee-hyori-talks-about-comeback

  13. That's actually pretty typical in Korea. I'm gonna go with Boa.

  14. @Vicki Cupper: That could happen anywhere. Just ask Rihanna.

  15. I know that. I'm just saying I'm not surprised by the violence of the one in Korea. I lived there for 8 years, beating the crap out of somebody for "showing disrespect" is not uncommon. Still vile bullshit no matter what culture.

  16. Holy crap. I don't want #2 [Or #1, really] to be true for anyone, but, man.. BoA is considered the "Princess of Pop" in Korea/Asia. :/

BoA just filmed a movie with Derek Hough in America. She's currently working on a single in Japan and, will be filming a special Christmas-tour at the end of the year in Japan, as well as an album to follow after that tour.

That said, she is, like, Lee Soo Man's child. She was given a decent portion of her record label's stock and.. I don't know. They seem to genuinely care about her, but I guess all people who abuse others tend to appear that way on the outside. :/

This whole thing just makes me terribly sad.

  17. IDA!!! Welcome back..You were missed (at least by me).

  18. Both of these are horrible!

  19. I'd like to see the reveal for the Chinese actress. ICN-TV featuring programming from mainland China and Hong Kong launched here in NY in Feb. It's shown a string of soap operas with English subtitles (30-40 eps, 2eps @ night 7 days/wk.) I'm starting to recognize at least two women and one man in repeat roles. The women, at least, seem to be near the top of their professions.

  22. I think Boa is #2.

As for #1 there is an actress who's name escapes me. No insult intended but I think her name is Bing-bing?

  23. RITA! I stayed up till 4:00 one night/morning (I have to get up by 6:00 for work--yikes!) to watch this movie that randomly came on Showtime and transfixed me. That movie? NINJA ASSASSIN!

And yes, that young man is H-O-T!

  24. BLANKPRINCESS! I feel awful talking about this on such a sad post. Thought of alleviating the awfulness of blind item #2.

But yeah, fell in absolute lust over Rain, googled the shit out of him... Turns out he's one of them boybander wonders that struck out on his own, with crazy fans that make Twihards look like well-balanced folks, and yes, I think he's gay. So of course (duh), no chance for me.

sigh. Will watch the movie again, with all its glorious gore, and absolute hotness.

  25. #1 could be Faye Wong.

She is huge in China, more for singing than acting, though. She has been around forever with virtually no presence in America.

  26. For those of you who like Rain, check out the movie I'm a Cyborg, But That's OK. Not only is it a really awesome movie, but OMG he is so hot in it. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/I%27m_a_Cyborg,_But_That%27s_OK

Rain is hot..but I think lee byung Hun is hotter...he played snake eyes in GI Joe. Bad movie, but his shirtless scene redeemed it somewhat

I'm starting to think this is boa too...this is honestly not the worst thing I've heard about in the Korean entertainment business though..

Oops meant storm shadow in GI joe

  29. Respect is very important in Korea, so I'm not surprised, but please don't assume that everyone goes around beating people.

Just because you lived there doesn't mean you KNOW everything about the people/culture.
Please don't stereotype all Koreans as violent people.

  30. forced her to make a sex tape? so that means its a tape of a rape. um, shouldn't THEY be the ones who are afraid of its release?

    ReplyDelete
  31. blankprincess/Rita, I also stumbled on Ninja Assassin while channel surfing, and it was awesome!

    ReplyDelete
  32. Mooshki/BlankPrincess & Jen - YOuTube the behind the scenes training for Ninja Assassin. Rain had to train for 6 months beforehand, he is so darn cute, and sexy!

As for Respect and other customs in different parts on this Earth, every tribe, clan, city, country have different interpretations and expectations of Respect.

When the A++ female singer forgot to thank her agent, it was a bit of lack of respect, maybe, but when he beat the crap out of her, he most certainly lacked respect to her basic Human Rights.

    ReplyDelete
  33. For one I think it's fan bing-bing too but when I thought about the second one,I immediately thought either BoA or Lee Hyori but thing is lee hyori just got out of really hot water for her last album due to most of her songs being found out to be copied from other people. But BoA...she's been quite active this year.she had a album out earlier this year, had some stuff in Japan and she is filming a movie. As much as my heart refuses, this is BoA all the way(side note:she's so tiny why did it take 5 people to beat on her? my stomach turns)

Btw,it is considered very disrespectful in Korea to try to talk back to your elder(in this persons case the manager) since people in korea are told that the elder's law is absolute.she couldn't say hey!why did you do that?!? even if she wanted to.It's pretty up there(disrespecting your elders in Korea) just like trying to skip out on the mandatory military service(Mc Mong is a prime example of this.took most of his teeth out just to avoid it -_-) men in Korea have to do.

  35. Sorry, but I gotta call BS on the Korean story. I've follow K-Pop pretty closely for several years. Managers/agents there can be outrageous in their treatment of the artists. There are reliable stories of singers being forced to have sex with business buddies to whom the manager wants to curry favor. But physical beating is over the line even there. Anyone who did that in front of witnesses would be in jail just as fast as they would be here.
