It appears that 5 liter box of wine that Deborah Bradley bought the night of her daughter's disappearance was put to very good use. At 6:40pm that night, Deborah Bradley put her daughter down to bed. She remembers checking on her a short time later and that is the last time she remembers checking on Lisa. The rest of the night, Deborah sat outside on her porch and got drunk. She told Kneepads Magazine that she had more than five glasses of wine and may have blacked out at some point. Her friend left around 1030pm, and saw the lights go out in the house but Deborah does not remember if she did the turning out or if it could have been someone else. See, this is where the story falls apart for me. During the evening, two kids who were not her own were watching a movie inside the house. Deborah and a friend were out on the porch. When did the two kids watching a movie go home? All of these people were in there and outside, yet someone was still able to go inside and take the baby?
That's probably the best time for someone to take/do something to the baby; when there's lots of people milling about.
ReplyDeleteMore and more I've come to believe she did something to that baby. I also read the parents refuse to allow the police to interview the 8 and 5 year old boys. They may not know anything, but to not let the police interview them? Like I said before, she's going to go with the Casey Anthony defense. It worked for Casey, didn't it?

ReplyDeleteStories like these, I know it's a bit too radical, where I start thinking that some should go through psychological evaluation before having babies. Just like driving, you go through training, an exam, because the government is fully aware that you are putting not only your life, but a lot of other innocent lives in danger if you are not properly prepared.
I just hate this story so much. That's the only comment I can make.

ReplyDeleteThere is nothing wrong with putting your children down for the night and having some "adult time" regardless of what that might be.
Desiree - Anyone with a child younger then 4 years old, knows that they should stay alert at anytime, for their child would wake up in the middle in the night for whatever reason: sickness, nightmares, insomnia, aches and pains.

ReplyDeleteSusanB - I read this morning the parents won't let the police interview the boys again. The police did interview the boys initially. What is weird is the dad says he hasn't talked to the boys to find out if they know anything?!?!

ReplyDeleteI'm not ready to "convict" the mother in all this, too much influence because of the Anthony case imo. I think the dad is a little creepy and should be looked at more closely. The boys were interviewed, and this is the first time I heard of other people being in the house as well as the friend. Diapers and baby wipes were found close by, I'm sure they are doing dna testing to see if they belong to this child.

I don't think the drinking is a big deal. What is a big deal is that she wouldn't have checked on the baby at least ONCE from bedtime (6:40pm) til she went to bed. And getting blackout drunk was not a good decision either.
Sorry, but if you have 3 of your own children, and 2 neighbor children visiting your house, you have NO RIGHT to "have some adult time" while you are responsible for their care and supervision. Have a glass of wine, one, but no, not 5. Not under any circumstance. She's lucky there wasn't a fire.

ReplyDeleteVery sad. There are two little boys that she and her fiancee are raising, I'm not sure if they were both his or if one belonged to each parent.
ReplyDeleteIt's sounding worse and worse. If she's admitting to being blackout drunk, that's probably the least bad thing she can remember to confess.
The 2 older boys are from another relationship - with her husband. They hadn't gotten divorced. Why is the story changing now? I mean, it's your baby that's gone. Why wouldn't you just tell the truth the first second you called 911? I don't know what happened, but that baby deserved better care that night.

ReplyDeleteWhat she actually said was, "yeah" to the question of "more than five?" (but less than 10) She actually had the balls to look insulted at being asked if she had 10. There is no doubt in my mind that this woman and/or her husband had something to do with this; ANd yeah, the Casey Anthony thing probably colors all our thoughts, but this story has so many holes in it!

Lawyers up and refuses to allow the older boys to say what they might know? Puts the baby to bed at 6:40 in her shorts and tee shirt and doesn't check on her again? And the baby has a "bad cold"? ANd what 10 month old goes to bed at 6:40 and doesn't make a peep for the rest of the evening? Sorry, this broad is lying about more than just how much wine she drinks.
That is weird about the cell phones. Stolen? Who would do that? Just kids maybe but they wouldn't want a baby. Just another odd little detail.

ReplyDelete1st - I am a bigger woman and 2 glasses of wine can get me pretty loopy - where beer i can handle much better. Plus - i doubt she was drinking from a wine glass that was small and only partially filled. If i had 5 glasses if wine in my Big Joe wine glass I would be in a coma.
ReplyDelete2nd - I was married at 18, had my daughter at 22 and even I knew only one parent's allowed to get tipsy at a time. My husband and I would take turns when we did have drinks - even at home. And my daughter was an excellent sleeper from 2 months on... We just never wanted to take the chance.
3rd - every day this story seems to get worse and worse. Agree the husband is creepy and wonder if he knows what happened and can't look at the camera for fear of getting caught in the lie.UGH - why? it all just so freaking wrong.
Initial reports had this baby going to sleep at 10:30 p.m. So, yeah. Going to sleep at 6:40 and not checking on her is cray cray.

I'm hoping that a person who really wanted a baby abducted her and is calling the baby her own. I mean, the alternative is rotting in the woods a la Callie.
Just an idea, probably not a very popular one: What if the 2 boys accidently have something to do with this and the mother is covering up to protect them (and herself)? And that's the reason why the parents refuse to let them get questioned again by the police. Accidents can happen so quickly when no responsible adults are around.
