Blind Item Revealed

May 26, 2009

B- list movie and television actor. HUGE summer movie, and a very popular network drama. He hasn't really come out publicly, but he doesn't exactly hide it either. This isn't a post about his sexuality so much as it is about his sexual habits. It seems that our actor is very insecure about his manhood. So much so that during the entire time he is having sex he keeps asking his partner,"what do you think of my d**k?" "Tell me you like it." The guy will not shut up about it. Needless to say, despite his resume and money he doesn't get many repeat partners. Have some confidence. You are a movie star and television star and get pretty much your pick of partners. All you are doing by asking is making whatever you don't have, worse.

  1. poor guy, hope he got over those confidence issues.

  2. I heard about him having a long-term partner, but never about his lack of confidence.

Whatever, A BIG CONGRATS to Quinto for having the most amazingly big balls to come out in such a classy fashion. Hope more male actors follow suit. For I think the industry does not flinch when women come out: Hollywood thinks it's sexy. Go figure.

  3. yep, I still think he is sexy. Doesn't change anything for me. ;) My odds of dating him are still the same. LOL

  4. I think he was dating Jonathan Groff for a long time but they broke up recently.

I don't understand the need for Anderson Cooper to come out. It seems to me, he lives his life like a normal guy in a relationship. He doesn't go out of his way to hide being in one. Why does being homosexuals mean you have to publicly announce your sexual preference? We don't expect that of people or celebrities who are straight.

  5. It's awesome that he came out, still not an easy thing to do these days, sadly. I look forward to the time when no one cares whether a person is gay, bi or straight. It's slow progress, but progess is being made.

  6. Exuding confidence and being self assured makes up for any lack thereof, if only more people would learn this.

  7. Really insensitive and cruel post. So sorry I read this.

  8. Rose - I think it has to do more with actors, and how the industry perceives their real life shadowing their acting.

Like for example how some dogs marry in order to sell movies where their characters are the strong paternal hero figures. So the public buy their movie characters.
I think if one lives their private life privately, it doesn't matter what your preference is, if your acting is impeccable like Quinto's, you'd still sell movies no matter what.

I applaud him for coming out and why he did it. Class Act. In light of that, I don't think we needed you to show us this blind vice Enty. Would you want all of your sexual partners to share the good, bad and ugly? I would not.

  10. I think actors don't like to come out is because they want to be believable when they go after a woman in movies or on TV without people thinking "he's acting - we all know he's gay." (although that seems to be fading with the example of Neil Patrick Harris). I suppose I don't understand Anderson Cooper not coming out because he's not going to pretend he's something he's not (an actor pretending to seduce a woman). I think he'd be a terrific role model for young people - someone who lives a normal life and just happens to be gay. But also, it's really his business.

  11. Anderson Cooper has flatly denied in the beginning of his career that he is gay. Now that his name is established, he would probably feel more comfortable. Obviously, even as a journalist, he thought coming out early would hinder his chances as a public figure.

    Hope the times are changing...

Anderson Cooper won't come 'out' ever. It's not how he was raised. He's not hiding it, mind you. He's living his life just how he wants. But he comes from a place where discussing one's personal life is somewhat frowned upon. It's taken years for he and his mother to talk about his brother's death.

As long as Cooper and Quinto are comfortable in their own skin, they shouldn't feel the need to feed the public's desire to know every detail of everyone's life. As long as they're happy, that's what counts.

And it's not like I had a chance with either guy, anyway! Both are so attractive, but being gay doesn't change my odds. It was at zero already.

  13. Maybe that's his idea of sex play. I speak from experience when I say it turns some guys on to have you tell them how big and strong their johnson is.

  14. LMSM - LOL! How true, foreplay is only weird in the eyes of the beholder... pun intended!

  15. LMS&M - Agree!

I've never really watched anything ZQ has been in but I think he's a very attractive dude. I hope he's gotten over his confidence issues, peen size or not.

  16. Rose, straight actors are constantly announcing their sexual preference, especially now in the age of twitter. But they're heterosexual so it's okay and we, the general public, eat up all those photos of Brad/Angie, Ben/Jen, Biebs/Selena, Jen/Jason, etc, etc, etc. It's only when Zach or someone says, oh yeah I'm gay, that suddenly people on those same gossip sites suddenly say, why do we have to hear about your private lives? I saw this on E yesterday and I just shook my head.

  17. If this were any heterosexual actor needing an ego boost because of his small package, everyone would think it's hilarious to have this blind item revealed. Suddenly, because it's a gay actor, it's crossing a line and we don't need to know it?

Don't be so hypocritical. If sexual preference shouldn't be an issue, it shouldn't be an issue in this situation, either. Gay or not, doesn't matter... I think this blind is hilarious. Attack me all you want, as I'm sure it's bound to happen.

I just think if you argue for equality, it should be equality in everything. If it's okay to laugh at a straight dude having issues with his junk and needing reassurance, it should be okay for a gay dude and his little junk, too.

  18. Enty, I agree with the others. I don't think that this blind item needed to be revealed. We should be happy that he was strong enough to come out, paving the way for other closeted people. Bringing up this blind today puts a damper on the news. If you had waited until NYE, I think that would have been more tactful.

  19. What makes his announcement interesting, to me at least, is that he said he was greatly affected by the suicide of Jamey Rodemyer (not sure if I spelled his name correctly), especially the fact that just a few months before he died, Jamey posted a video online for the "It Gets Better" campaign. But obviously, it got worse for him. So that prompted him Zachary to say what he did.

And as far as Anderson Cooper coming out, so to speak, well that's his prerogative. But what an opportunity he missed last week when he did all those shows on bullying. If he would (could) have stood up and said, "see, good things can happen to you," or something like that, I think that could/would make a huge impression on kids who are struggling.

  20. I don't think this should have been re-posted. Just let him bask in the congratulations of coming out.

  21. although that seems to be fading with the example of Neil Patrick Harris.

But his character is meant to be over the top and funny. So he's "allowed" to play a straight guy.

  22. @Mella, I would've agreed with you a few months ago, but I've started watching HIMYM every night, and sometimes, I'm absolutely fascinated by Neil Patrick Harris, not simply because of the funny moments, but by the intensity of the serious moments, and find him really attractive. All of a sudden I would wonder out loud 'Is he dating any actress I know of?'

And suddenly I remember: he's gay. Married. With children!

See, sexuality has absolutely no effect on how the public perceives your acting when you are talented, great at your craft, and keep your personal life just that: personal.

  23. Congrats on coming out, Quinto!

  24. BCoop is the go-to-guy for any actress that wants to be seen dating. So much so that is is ridiculous. Now they all look like fools trying to be sneaky.

I'm embarassed they think we are do stupid.

  25. Yeah, NPH is gay and so is his partner David, but when I saw the pictures of them lounging around together on the deck of Elton John's yacht this past summer, I wanted to squeeze right in between them and soak up all that hotness. That is a talented and very attractive couple.

  26. "Enty" most likely made this blind up back then to explain the lack of girlfriends on ZQ's arm at evens. And now it's being re-purposed to generate hits for the site *yawn*

  27. FS, no one comes out to say they are straight. No one needs a People cover to tell the world or an Oprah interview. They just live their life and talk about their sex life on twitter. That's the difference. Talking about your sex life isn't the same as announcing your orientation. We don't expect that if your straight, because that is "normal". We expect that if your gay because that isn't. The public feels lied to or cheated. It is very sad.
