Today's Blind Items
You would never think of this couple having any issues. Quiet, soft spoken, always ready with a smile. They are bordering on that A list line of coupledom. He is an award winning movie actor who has been nominated for some big ones. She is an award winning mostly television actress and has been nominated for some big ones. What most people do not know is that he beat her so bad once that they were sure they would never have kids. As they have aged the beatings have been reduced substantially, but he still cheats on her with regularity and she just keeps taking it year after year.

Weren't Kevin and Kyra revealed to be thisclose to divorcing on the last reveal day? That kind of disputes the first sentence of this blind: You would never think of this couple having any issues.
ReplyDeleteKevin and Kyra had children pretty early in their marriage. I don't imagine they ever worried about their ability to reproduce.

ReplyDeleteBill and Felicity have a new print milk ad out. Have you seen it? I thought that the body language in it was odd when I saw it, especially since it promotes them as a supposedly very loving couple. However, she is more "into" Bill, than he is to her in it, which I found strikingly odd given their long and seemingly happy relationship. (It's the placement of their arms in regards to one another)

Granted, there are outtakes where they are both very lovey, but I thought it was an odd picture to use in the campaign (whomever decided on the final photo).

ReplyDeleteRight, he beat her so bad that as a result of the beating they were sure they'd never have kids. Turned out, they were wrong, they did have kids. It's just emphasizing how bad the beating was. They could have kids. That's how I'm reading it.

It means that one time he beat her so badly that AFTERWARDS, AFTER THE BEATING, they weren't sure she would be able to have kids, NOT that once he found out they couldn't have kids he beat her. I can see how you misread that, but yeah, the not being sure they could have kids was AFTER the vicious beating.
I don't care if this is revealed. All I care about is that one day this woman gets the strength to leave.

ReplyDeleteI remember reading that Kyra became pregnant with their first child on their honeymoon. I think their second child is about 3-4 years younger.

I read the blind that the husband beat the wife so bad once, that after that beating they weren't sure she would be able to have kids again.
Jennifer is pregnant right now with their third child.
Ben has been rumored to have some dalliances with some of his on-set co-stars of the opposite sex.

ReplyDeleteI've never heard of someone becoming infertile from physical injuries like an accident or beating. Seems odd.
ReplyDeleteI know many will say NO WAY!! But there is someone this fits PERFECTLY - Hugh Jackman and his wife Deborra-Lee Furness.

Also, just saw a piece on E! that said "when they found out they were unable to have children, they adopted 2".
So there's my guess.
Damn - I wish I lived in Unknown's world. I would love to be naive about the more evil sides of life and what happens when you are beaten and kicked as a woman. Infertility and worse can happen when one is physically abused. Colons can be burst, ovaries, uterus', bladders .. think of the force of a foot against soft tissue and it should be a bit clearer for you.

ReplyDeletews talking about this with a friend the other day (domestic violence). my ex shoved me up against the wall 1 time before i left. there were other things going on, and i did leave. but i think that there is a tendency for women (who want to fix things) to say "he didn't mean it...it was just once". and i can see how if it happens once and you stay, you can get stuck in a pattern and feel like people wouldn't believe you or say, "if it was so bad why did you stay". i also think its important to tell stories like this so that people know that it happens and that even women who are successful, and women who have money are afraid to leave. and, w/ abusers it always gets worse. my ex got MUCH more violent toward me, and did it in front of our kids.
ReplyDeleteit's not hugh and deborah-lee - deborah lee was just too old by the time they got married. they used to live near me in melbourne a few years ago, they were so lovey-dovey it was almost sickening if they weren't so damned nice.

ReplyDeletemany women have lost fertility or the ability to carry a child or conceive due to domestic violence, bc of the violence being committed on their bodies and even from the stress of domestic abuse; heck, infertility can even happen after horrible accidents, to both men and women... our human bodies - as organic machines - can fail, break down, whatever, for any number of reasons

ReplyDeleteI think it's Bill and Felicity, which makes me soooo sad. I went to a taping of a talk show once, and he was the guest. She was standing off the side of the stage and doting on him the whole time, just completely enamored with her hands folded at her heart. After reading this, I could totally see it.
