Today's Blind Items - The Emmy Awards
#1 - This married, foreign born C+/B- television actress on a very hit show spent about ten minutes making out and groping this always ready to play B/A- list actor who just completed a run on a very popular show. It was not like the pair were not spotted. The actress was overheard saying later that she thinks her husband will understand. "It was just kissing."
#2 - This B- list television actor who had a couple of things going television wise in the past year had a date for the Awards but would not let her anywhere near the cameras. He told her to wait and the night was all about him and not them. He also told others that he did not want anyone to think he was dating anyone because it would be harder to pick up other women.
#3 - This C+/B- movie actress who has been doing television lately is still being shunned. To try and help matters she spoke to the actress who made the shunning happen and begged for her forgiveness.
#3= Julia Stiles. I loved her in 10 Things I Hate About You. Sounds like she's grown some from this.

ReplyDeleteFor #1 - Piven for the b/a- always ready to play actor? He just finished Entourage. I hate to guess Piven since it seems like he is always the guess for a blind like this, but he fits. No guess for the actress, but I know my husband would be okay with it!
#2 - Johnny G. from the Big Bang Theory? He also had an arc in Entourage this year. Plus, he had a date, but she wasnt' included in his red-carpet pic. But is he b-? I know Big Bang Theory is a big hit, but do that many people really know who he is?
Shit, I should have said my husband would NOT be okay with it. Especially if it's Piven!!!!

ReplyDeleteWell, seeing as Enty REVEALED the blind about the shunning as being MCH, Stiles & Carpenter, there is NO WAY this isn't Stiles & Carpenter. I didn't watch the Emmys but I saw on Lainey that both were there (and wearing similar looks) and wondered if there was any interaction. I wonder what Carpenter's reaction was, I'd LOVE to know hehe.

It might just be me, but the way I read #1 is that B/A- actor finished his stint on a popular show. Not that he was on the show the whole time and now it's over.

ReplyDeleteI like both Julia Stiles and Jennifer Carpenter, but Julia a little less when she had that thing with MCH. MCH also lost favor with that fiasco, but it seems that Stiles is taking the brunt of the backlash, which is typical. Women usually do.
ReplyDeleteI may have missed this, but has Enty done a thing on Brad Pitt's interview - you know, the one where he basically calls his life boring and pathetic when he was married to Anniston. I know he's apologized, but no matter how you slice it, it was a diss of her, and I am with Lainey - this is delicious because it gives so much room for speculation. Jennifer has a hot piece now, and Brad's build up of Jolie was a little over the top. Oh, and I'm already aware that I need to get a life, LOL.
I NEVER get blind items, yet I'm 100% convinced my guess of Jessica Pare for #1 is correct. Largely because I NEVER guess these correctly, and she was my first thought, and then she was in the photos, so yeah. I'm calling victory on this one. LOL :P

ReplyDeleteMadLyb - I agree on the gossip front, but I don't think it has anything to do with Jen's bfriend. I think Brad can just be a major jerk, and he's never struck me as particularly sharp. Still love me some Jolie, but Brad...meh, I can take or leave.

ReplyDeleteAnd I don't know ladies if MCH is in the clear, but it would be understandable if she wants to keep her job as there is no DEXTER sans him, so she might just have to get over it if she wants to stay employed. Messed up I know, but true. What I'm curious about is if it's a bitter, contentious divorce where she tries to take him for everything. How will that make working together everyday or will Deb be getting killed off? I hope not, I love Deb.
Can someone tell me who Jennifer Carpenter is that she has that much power to blacklist another actress? And why is it always the other women who gets the blame when a marriage breaks up? Hell, it always seems to be the woman's fault no matter whatever the break up. Meg Ryan has never recovered from that fling with Russell Crowe, yet no one seems to be blaming him.

ReplyDeleteSo, the only problem w/ Julia Stiles for #3 -- and I agree it has to be her -- is that she *isn't* being shunned. She hadn't done much of anything in the year or so pre-Dexter and now she has a whole well-cast films in the works (see: http://www.imdb.com/name/nm0005466/).

ReplyDeleteOK. Definitely not Julia Stiles for #3. If you look on her IMDB, she has quite a bit going on...5 or 6 upcoming projects. Also, Jennifer Carpenter has absolutely no pull. She's a C list TV actress at best.
ReplyDeleteIf you look at Evan Rachel Wood, she has absolutely nothing going on. If it's true that she pissed off Kate Winslet,I could definitely see Kate having the power to black ball Evan.
I have to agree that as much as I LOVE Deb I cannot really see JC having the power to blackball the Stiles. I wish she did, but JC is a tv actress who makes tacky horror movies on the side to date, she is pretty young and has been married a lot of her professional life, I can't see how she could accumulate that much influence via body of work or sleeping with the right people (other than MCH of course).
ReplyDeleteAs to whether MCH and JC got together when he was still married- that is unclear, of course it is totally refuted by a timeline (probably provided by his PR folks) of when he and his Broadway wife #1 split and when Dexter filming began but... it seems to me a tiger doesn't change its stripes. I'm voting they did hook up before he was totally off the market, that unfortunately seems to be his MO wrt the ladies. Serial (ha ha) overlapping monogamy.
Now I'm curious to see what they wore to the Emmys and if they took a Dexter cast pic together w both in it. And did someone say JC got some new boobs? Damn Dodge $$ must be sweet. That sucks though I love her body type and wish there were more leading ladies out there without huge boobs representing us boyish, lanky ladies.
So back to the blind- I see this being ERW/KW-- Kate Winslet can definitely get someone blackballed. ERW was all the rage like a yr ago and now seems to be less in favor.
