Taylor Armstrong Spent $90K On Russell's Credit Card After They Split

If the headline itself is not shocking enough, the mother of Russell Armstrong says the $90K spent by Taylor Armstrong on Russell's credit card was done in one month. Yep, somehow the woman who really has no money managed to spend $90K in one month. Crazy. Of course Russell's mom also thinks Russell was murdered so everything she says you have to kind of take slowly and with caution. I can totally see Taylor doing that. I can't believe they actually had enough money to spend 90K in one month. Maybe she did out of spite? If someone beat me, I would do a lot of things to get back at that person. Russell was $1.5M in debt when he died.

  1. Dumb ho spent 60K on a 4 yr old's birthday party. Whaddaya expect??

Does the 1.5 mil include the 90K on the credit card?

  2. I am gonna try to give everyone the benefit of the doubt here.

I don't know if Taylor did or didn't, but if she did, you are right - could have been revenge and she couldn't know what he would do.

The mother & family are probably grieving and in denial mode. Thus, murder allegations and the need to point fingers.

    No easy answer here.

  3. i hope part of that 90 thousand wasn't the shoes she's wearing in that picture. blech!

  4. I want to know more about the business partner who committed suicide the day after Russell. He didn't leave a note either.

That's 2 dead people in 2 days with no suicide notes, it just doesn't sound right.

Oh! And what about that woman in SF (??) who's death was ruled suicide? Even though she somehow hung herself while naked and with her hands bound? She was the girlfriend of the really wealthy guy and his son was injured falling down the stairs (and eventually died).

I want explanations that make sense.

  5. Fiesty, I saw something online that they are looking closer at the womans death in CA, now, as foul play, after all. Something with the autopsy results now not matching the initial "suicide" belief (which I never bought based on initial findins, anyways...).

  6. um, findings. I can't seem to type worth beans today...

  7. I'm sure she figured he was going to file for bankruptcy soon, so might as well max the cards out.

  8. How interesting that she did that to the father of her kids.

  9. I thought Russell's CCs were suspended before he died? So this freako-looking, annoying, Okie from the Skokie see-you-next-Tuesday bankrupted his sad ass, huh?

  10. @Feisty---what? I never heard about the business partner killing himself the day after Russell's death!

*going now to look this up*

  11. Are you surprised? I mean, really?

  12. @M - Good to know! I read something that announced it was found a suicide, and the whole thing was just too crazy.

@selenakyle - I've seen it mentioned a couple of places, usually just a one-sentence thing. I don't remember the guy's name. Let us know what you find!

  13. umm, I would say hold your horses to everyone before we pass judgement.

Russell has been convicted of assault and abuse towards his wives. He didn't deny hitting Taylor. Perhaps Taylor was giving him her sense of retribution.

You know they were separated, as a businessman you would think he would have the common sense to cancel her credit cards.

I read somewhere, Russell's suicide was his final act of abuse. Which says it perfectly, he's passed on and left all the financial matters and guilt on Taylor's shoulders.

  14. Sorry, but sticking it to your ex by maxing out his credit card was also sticking it to your child.

  15. I guess, if you're bankrupt, that it doesn't matter if you owe $1.5MM or $1.59MM. I had read that his credit cards were being rejected before he died; I guess putting $90K in charges on them will do that.

  16. Feisty, it happened in Coronado, CA (San Diego). Los Angeles news recently reported that her death was ruled a suicide. Very suspicious.

I thought that Russell's business parter did in fact leave a note. I haven't read what was in the note, but I think TMZ reported there was a note.

Russell's family is also claiming that he was murdered. I'm not going to believe too much of what they say right now.

  17. Why does it sound strange for a rich person from Beverly Hills to charge 90K on credit cards in one month??? That's a million a year if they do that every month. For multi-millionnaires, I hardly think that's a big deal. I am sure that month's bill wasn't much different from the ones before it.

Perhaps she paid her attorney's retainer with the credit card?

If Taylor had no money and bills were do for school, food, rent or whatever, I think she gets a pass here. I would want to see what she was charging before judging her. Russell's business associate did kill himself shortly after Russell did. Weird, but it does not point towards a murder plot. The naked hanging lady with her ankles and hands tied behind her back is not suicide. And the son dying from a fall down the stairs. That could all be murder.

  19. "...somehow the woman who really has no money managed to spend $90K in one month. Crazy."

That's not crazy, that's the American way of life!

  20. Russell's business partner shot himself the next day. I'm guessing there was something else going on. It's been reported that Taylor has gone through some of Russell's paperwork and given anything out of the ordinary to the FBI. Don't know if that is true.

  21. It's fairly normal for couples to engage in this kind of fuckery when they separate. A friend of my mother forgot to file for divorce in a prompt manner and discovered, when she finally did serve papers, that her husband had liquidated the entire estate and stolen everything. He was worth like five thousand dollars on paper, and she lost everything. Divorce sucks, but marriage sucks, too: you're economically and legally partnered with someone who might not be working toward your best interests. On the other hand, love makes life full of joy while it lasts, and it sometimes lasts all through life and even after someone dies.

I'm sick of Russell's family, incidentally. Murder? Aargh. I was not impressed by their press release announcing that they were going to watch the episodes of Housewives and call their lawyer if they heard anything bad about Mr Armstrong. Sheez, he killed himself while his daughter was in the next room -- there, I said something bad about him. Sue me.

  23. @ChrissyBuns: LMAO! I thought the same thng about the shoes--and the raggedy dress.

These people repulse me so deeply that I have a hard time seeing them as human. That poor child.

$60K on a 4 year olds birthday party?! I don't think my parents ever spent more than 60 DOLLARS on a kids birthday party.

    @Selena

Here's a post that mentions the business partners suicide: http://gawker.com/5836165/was-the-real-housewives-suicide-part-of-a-bizarre-white-collar-suicide-pact [brief mention] and here http://www.radaronline.com/exclusives/2011/08/taylor-armstrong-considering-fbi-over-russell-pal-suicides [full story].

  26. Thanks b/c I got to busy with work to go do any lookin' up...

  27. Did she spend $60K on the b-day party, or do Bravo? and the $90K may have been for bills he hadn't been bothering to pay (another form of abuse/control) like like, phones, car leases, rent, taxes, water bills, etc.

  28. Immature people do moronic, spiteful things in anger. Having watched RHOBH, Taylor is quite immature. Look at how she comes in between Kyle and Kim, Kyle and Lisa, etc. I can easily believe that Taylor ran up $90K on Russell's card in one month.

All his mother has to do to prove that Taylor ran up that amount is produce the bill.

He was no prize, but spite gets you nowhere.

    ReplyDelete
  29. @Feisty - I hadn't heard about the business person's partner's suicide either! Wow!

I think Russell's family is off base on saying it's not suicide, but they are still grieving. And also claiming that the man portrayed on RH is not the real Russell. But then I go back to him hitting Taylor. I don't know. This is one effed up situation. Poor Kennedy.

  30. Lips that good lookin' don;t come cheap.

  31. I'm not a Taylor hater, but not a supporter, either. Judging by what I saw on the show, though, Russell should have expected something like that.

    ReplyDelete
  32. I think Radar had the original story, where Russell's family claimed Taylor charged the $90,000 to his credit card in June. They separated in July. So, if she did in fact charge the card in June, they were still together. No story as far as I'm concerned.

Not to sound too morbid (I hope!), but did anyone read the autopsy report on TMZ yesterday? Something really strange that caught my eye, said that he was identified by fingerprints from the DOJ/FBI? WTH? The Department of Justice and the FBI? Clearly, he was, um, known to them, I guess.

  33. SURFER! Do you by any chance secretly have a kid with Jennifer Garner? One named Serafina?

    ReplyDelete
  34. @Sue Ellen - HUH? I'm most def not Ben. But you know that.

    ReplyDelete
  35. Surfer, you know we have a poster on this blog who is adamant that Jennifer Garner's baby daddies are: 1) well-known out and proud gay man Victor Garber, after whom Violet is obviously named; and 2) some as-yet-unnamed surfer dude whose hobby/occupation served as the inspiration for daughter Serafina's name.

I just had to check, you know?

    ReplyDelete
  36. ^^^I guess it would also help me to eliminate you as a Garner baby daddy if I actually looked at your gender listed on your profile, right? DUH! :)

    ReplyDelete
  37. @SueEllen - I don't even know what to say to your original question - have you forgotten our old convos? I am most definitely a girl.

Anyway, I knew about theory #1, but hadn't heard that about #2.

That's pretty funny that you would (suddenly) think I might/could be one of those two. Also, I highly doubt Jen is the one stepping out.

    ReplyDelete
  38. Surfer, I think you're confusing old, misspelled, Sue Ellen Mishkey with new, correctly spelled, Sue Ellen Mischke. Easy mistake to make. :)

    ReplyDelete
  39. I think we will learn both Russell and his business partner were involved in some shady things. Hopefully their poor child will grow up to never remember those shoes Taylor is wearing. Or the "dress".

    ReplyDelete
  40. Mooshki - a new Sue Ellen, or an imposter?

    ReplyDelete
  41. Imposter, and a wee bit of an idiot too. I have a pretty good idea who it is, and I'm not surprised.

And guys, sorry my misspelling of a fictional name is bothersome.

    *eye roll*

    ReplyDelete
  42. I see both Susan Ellen Mishkey and Susan Ellen Mishke in this conversation alone. I'm so confused...

    ReplyDelete
  43. Oh, I'm no imposter. Proof? If I actually wanted to pretend to be someone else for some reason, I'd pick someone kinder, smarter, more decent, funnier, and WAY more compassionate than I, not this "Sue Ellen Mishkey [sic]" person. More proof? I've never directed any vile/ignorant/condescending/inane/sanctimonious/take your pick comments to anyone reading this blog.

I'm just someone who: A) loves the HELL out of Seinfeld; B) enjoys ruffling feathers, rattling cages, dishing dirt, and throwing stones with equal parts sugar and vinegar; and C) can spell really well.

(True story--in 8th grade I was one place away--ONE PLACE AWAY, I TELL YOU!--from getting to go to Washington D.C. to represent my state in the Scripps National Spelling Bee. So, I guess I can spell really well, but not, like, perfectly. :P )

P.S. Sorry for causing the confusion, surfer--I didn't know there was a conversation history there. My apologies! :)

  44. Jennifer Garner's first child is named after her grandmother, Violet, not after Victor.

On the first season of RHOBH there were musings about Russell's business dealings and on the Reunion shows, it was generally thought that he was doing some seriously underhanded dealings. Either way, Taylor has to deal with them now which is really crappy in my opinion.

    ReplyDelete
  45. Sis, that's why it's so funny that the poster--the one who thinks the kids' fathers are Garber and some surfer dude, respectively--thinks Violet is named after Victor. If she were, wouldn't her name actually be Victoria?
