So Much For World Peace

Meta World Peace, or as I like to call him, Ron Artest, was eliminated from Dancing With The Stars. I think we all knew it was coming. What I did not see coming was that somehow Nancy Grace ended up in the bottom two. Elisabetta Canalis managed to stay off the bottom. Wait, that kind of sounds sexual. Oh well. I would have bet that Nancy Grace would be more popular with the people who were voting than Elisabetta Canalis. Do people other than those who read gossip sites and tabloids even know who she is? The fact that she managed to not be in the bottom two means she might be around for awhile.

  1. We had the show on the first day. I was on the computer, but managed to look up during her intro and saw they played the George Clooney card with her.

I hope Nancy can stick around for a while. It would be nice to see her shape up a bit. Chaz too. Hell, I'd like to be on the show so I could lose some weight.

  2. Can not believe Nancy's viewers weren't enough to keep her out of the bottom. Elisabetta is a terrible dancer.

  3. I'm convinced after yesterday's blind that Elisabetta was the one with the lowest votes and should have been voted off but the temper of Ron Artest prompted the show to swap them so they don't have the safety risk any longer. Nancy definitely has more votes than bottom two, I think they just put her there to keep the buzz going about the show.

Metta World Peace being gone probably had people partying hard last night from the release of stress from a potential blow up. I agree the blind was about him as well.

  5. If I recall, Tom B quickly reminded everyone right before the results were announced that the people left on the stage were not necessarily the bottom three, and those that were cleared & told they were safe were not called in any particular order. I think they do this every season, likely to give the audience some "shockers" about who might have went home (because Tom says that disclaimer so fast it's easy to ignore it), which in return gives the show more press.

I was actually impressed with Nancy, and that's something I never thought I'd write. Elisabetta and Rob need to go home ASAP. As for the rest of the bunch, it's a decent group of talent and it will be interesting to see how they progress.

  6. i figured all the 'ohijustloveyounancyblessyourheartforallyoudoiprayforyoueveryday' fans would keep her around for a good long time, even if she danced like shit. guess we'll see.

  7. Ron should at least have some NBA fan/peers votes, right? What votes could Elisabetta possibly have? Zero point zero.

  8. Elizabetta was bad, but so was Nancy. Carson was pretty bad except for his Jagger strut, great sense of humor, and excellent song choice.

  9. If you watch the Nancy Grace show on one of the news networks they constantly promote her on Dancing with the Stars (right now she has a guest doing her duties) and giving out the number to vote for her on. I don't watch DWTS, but do occasionally check out her show.

  10. I have to say, Nancy Grace was much better than I thought she would be. No way is Elisabetta Canalis a worse dancer than Ron Artest, but she's probably next to go, then Rob K., then Carson K. Doesn't Derek Hough have it in his contract that he has to be paired with the winner? And what's with the Russians taking over DWTS?
