This weekend, Bradley Cooper decided to work his Hollywood celebrity card and called Jennifer Lopez to go out to dinner. This is one week after he played his card to go out with Charlize Theron. Apparently he must have a pretty big deck of cards to get these women. What people forget is the very nasty divorce he had from Jennifer Esposito. Lets not forget that at that time, I did not think anyone would ever date this guy again after what he put her through. I guess celebrity trumps reality though. If he was a jerk then and barely had a fraction of the fame he has now, I can only imagine how awful he is to women these days. Perhaps this is why he is having to find a different woman each week.

ReplyDeleteI remember that at the time they split the word was she divorced him because of abuse. You'd think newJennifer would run from that type of crap after being with Marc.
I guess some celebrities don't mind selling their souls if it means getting in the tabs.

What was the story with he and Jen E? Was it an abuse situation? If I remember, they divorced very quickly after marrying.

Being gay doesn't prevent bearding in Hollywood, as long as the other party knows. But I imagine abuse would give pause.
Anderson would be BIG time fun to hang out with! I'll bet he's fun and a pretty decent person. Who cares if he doesn't want to do women? I'd hang out just for the conversation. But Bradley? Mmmmmnnnnnot so much. Ick.

ReplyDeleteRose - I agree! People tend to forget how he RAN away from that situation. When the scheduled wedding was cancelled, Ben breathed easy. JLo at the time was trying to groom him for a PDiddy look-a-like, she loved attention. But poor Ben only looked like deer caught in the headlights in all the red-carpet pictures.
ReplyDeleteAs for Bradley, he was in Montreal not long ago this summer. Word is he slept with the ladies, but was a cad afterwards, not a smooth operator.
For Jen Esposito, I only remember that marriage lasting only a few months, and them breaking up because of their long-distance situation... Or that was the word back then. Did not hear about the abuse...
There was a blind item, I believe on this site, about an actor who physically abused his wife and that was why the marriage ended. The most common guess was Bradley Cooper but I don't believe it was ever revealed...until just now *L*.
ReplyDeleteHasn't he alluded/admitted to a drinking problem years ago (now sober)? I seem to recall a Strombo interview from earlier this year where he made a comment about his behavior being vastly different (in a distasteful way) years ago. Maybe an AA stint or therapy got him past it. Not that there aren't residual effects for the rest of one's life. My own family could write a book on this.

If you google Bradley and Esposito, you get a LOT of hits about him talking about their marriage but not her. Also, she was engaged to (but broke up with) that tennis player who dated BOTH Paris Hilton and Tara Reid - that girl has bad taste in men....
ReplyDeleteYes, Jen Esposito was engaged to Mark Philipousis, the guy who was in that dating show with older ladies and younger ladies. He's kind of an idiot, been engaged 3 times I think and never married.
ReplyDeleteJBlow doesn't even have an Oscar though! What a step down for Cooper. He needs to hook-up with Kate Winslet or Hilary Swank. I think he would be great with Hilary Swank. She has TWO Oscars.

ReplyDeleteI don't know RocketQueen. I think that's why he's a good actor. All of these high profile women all of a sudden seems like a huge PR push from teams putting their heads together. He needs the gay rumors squelched and they need to be with the hot, of the moment actor for the press.
