Andy Whitfield, who played the title role in the hit cable series "Spartacus: Blood and Sand," has died at age 39, according to representatives and family. Whitfield died Sunday in Sydney, Australia, 18 months after he was diagnosed with non-Hodgkin lymphoma.
So sad, I keep hoping he'd make it...prayers to his wife and children.

I am crushed. I loved Spartacus so much and mostly because of him. I was really hoping he could go in remission again. I'm so sorry for his family.

ReplyDeleteA truly beautiful man, and always had a crush on his graceful skull and neck... There was a fragility in there that definitely made him different from the other 'boorish' Spartacus. Too young to die, RIP.

ReplyDeleteI lost a friend a few years ago to the same cancer who was a mother to three young kids.
He was a beautiful man, and by the statement from his wife, very loved.
