I had a really late night last night, woke up late and will not have access to a computer today. Sorry, but I will see you tomorrow.

  3. Enjoy your "Day Off"

P.S. Nestea Iced Tea (x1), Ginger Ale (x1) and Fresh Fruit, trust me best hangover cure I ever found :)

  4. As long as we get to hear some of the scandalous details from last night ... ;)

Can we turn this into a hangover cures thread? Mine: blue Powerade and greasy potatoes. And when that doesn't work? Drink a caesar.

  5. chocolate banana milkshake.

  6. My hangover cure: powerade zero (usually grape) followed by a Burger King chicken tender meal, extra ranch dressing =)

  7. Wait... isn't Prince Harry currently in California?
This is doing nothing but adding fuel to my theory that Enty has Royal connections.
And if this is the case, we best be getting some serious insider dirt on the House of Windsor.

  8. Ichiban or liptons chicken noodle soup.

  10. Maybe Enty is busy working out the details of Will and Jada's divorce agreement :)

  11. Deep fried burrito, Super B Complex vitamin & Gatorade. Gross, but ohhhh so yummy. :D

  12. Sweet Dreams Enty! Wish I was taking the day off too ;>

  13. Pedialyte followed by some greasy McDonalds cheeseburger and fries with a huge d.c. and a couple of extra strength Advil Liqui-gels.

Ok, Enty. You vanished when Will got married - you vanished when Anne's daughter got married.
Now Harry's in California and you've vanished again.

Personally, I'm seeing a pattern here. Time for you to come clean...or at least start giving with the Windsor dirt.

  15. Just saw the hangover portion of this thread...sadly I do not have hangover cures but I go more along the lines of preventatives. B vitamin before the evening gets real fun, lots of water and tylenol before going to bed. Although Kelly's rememdy is surely one I will look into the next time I am in need ;>

    Pizza....lots of it!

  17. I knew I was getting older the last time I was in Vegas. I woke up (early) after a late night, ordered some food, and seriously just stared at it.

  18. Alka Seltzer, cheeseburger and french fries.

Hope you are well Enty, I'll miss you today!

  19. a big fat diet dr. pepper and something greasy. if it's breakfast time, sausage biscuit with egg and cheese from mcdonalds.

and love the concept that Enty is working out Will and Jada's divorce settlement...

And I read that Will walked in on Jada and Marc!

  20. Yeah, the super B complex works for me, too; I take a couple before I go out and 2-3 more before I go to bed, plus aspirin; I may not get off scot-free, but it goes a long, long way toward relieving the astounding hangovers I used to get.

    ReplyDelete
  21. Take it easy, Enty. If anyone deserves a day off, it's you! Looking forward to tomorrow's updates.

    ReplyDelete
  22. Chewable pepto bismol (I swear) and a spicy kimchi noodle soup!

    ReplyDelete
  23. I definitely would avoid Tylenol. B-vitamins before/during and no food after you start drinking. Then I have bread, honey and butter when I get up.

    ReplyDelete
  24. Hair of the dog for me.

    ReplyDelete
  25. Menudo with spicy chile and a cold Squirt :)

    ReplyDelete
  26. Jada and Marc. . . ack! my eyes. . . that would burn your retinas, lol.

    And I don't think I've had a hangover in 10 years+, but I'm up for offers. . .

    ReplyDelete
  27. Marc as in Skeletor? Seriously disturbing image.

Fat, fried and greasy. That is my hangover cure. Not very original, but it works.

    ReplyDelete
  28. ginger ale and bbq potato chips

on the bright side, no Kraptastic Kardashian Koverage today!

    ReplyDelete
  29. ok, i may be completely naive, but i had no idea that fatty greasy foods would help a hangover! i would be afraid it would make me puke! bahaha!

    ReplyDelete
  30. Aw, I love you guys for rolling with the hangover cures. And I will be stocking up on B vitamins!

Other trick: EAT SOMETHING before you black out in bed. Even if it's just an apple, it spares so much pain in the morning :)

    ReplyDelete
  31. Oooh and also - water, water, water. Make sure you gulp down a whole lot before bed, and then keep a lot by the bed and drink a glass or two if you wake up during the night. I swear by it.

My friends love oral rehydration pills, that they dissolve in water before and after drinking. I have tried it a couple of times and it seems to do the trick.

    ReplyDelete
  32. I tended bar for years and told people to make a bloody mary their last drink of the night. Something in the tomato juice counteracts the sugar in the drinks and helps you to avoid a hangover. My customers swore by it.

But I LOVE the fact that greasy food is good for something, lol

    ReplyDelete
  33. thanks to this thread i would now like some greasy food. good thing our county fair is going on! better get the kids dressed!

    ReplyDelete
  34. Get a prescription for Tigan. I use it for motion sickness, but many swear by it for hangovers. Take one before going to bed if possible and/or in the morning. It's an anti-nausea pill.

Eat something before the drinking gets serious. Lots of butter helps.

    Try drinking in moderation.

    ReplyDelete
  35. My best hangover cure is to just stay up until I've sobered up as much as possible. I'll eat something greasy and filling, drink tons of water and just watch TV. I end up going to bed later, but I never ever wake up w/a hangover.

If I think it may be a pass out drunk kind of night, I put out Tylenol and water and make sure I have leftovers in the fridge before I go out.

    ReplyDelete
  36. I agree with what others have said--it's all about preventive measures! Drink as much water as I possibly can before bed plus a multi-vitamin and eating really ANYTHING, even if it's something small. Then a Gatorade/G2, four ibuprofen (never Tylenol, the effect on your liver with alcohol can be very damaging!), and a greasy breakfast in the morning. Never fails.

    ReplyDelete
  37. Ibuprofen is also bad for your liver. I usually try to drink water as I'm drinking (the one glass of alcohol, one glass of water trick if I can), but if that fails, then I'll leave water by the bed. I drink hot tea every morning anyway, but it really helps when I have a hangover, followed by eggs and toast. Definitely going to consider the bloody mary option next time I go out drinking.

By the way, if you need a gossip fix today, Gossip Boy is posting on his blog again.

  39. ^Ibuprofen is not bad on your liver, but it is bad on your stomach lining. I believe that if you take ibuprofen with food, it's safer than taking Tylenol at all after drinking. Ibuprofen can be tough on your stomach lining--and so can alcohol, obviously--but if you eat (to coat your stomach) and take ibuprofen, I believe it's safer. I mean, ibuprofen vs. Tylenol (acetaminophen) is like bad vs. worse here, but if you have to take something, I believe ibuprofen with food is better than acetaminophen at all. I may be way off, but...

    ReplyDelete
  40. Enty, you're Hollywood's best kept secret! I hope you have a great day off.

    ReplyDelete
  41. Jamee,

I totally agree. When I was a kiddie and had cramps, my mother always told me to eat something before I took ibuprofen. If I didn't, I would puke like a hungover sailor. Dumbass that I am, I learned that the hard way. Uh, seven times.

Now, I rarely get cramps bad enough for medicine. I try to breathe and relax my muscles and then I bust out the pain meds.

    ReplyDelete
  42. Of course if I am hellbent on a bender, I try to stick with 2 drinks, then a glass of water. Keep repeating and you won't get a hangover, much less shit-faced.

    ReplyDelete
  43. *sigh*....oh okay Enty. *stalks away to other sites*

    ReplyDelete
  44. Yes, that is true, always take Ibuprofen with food or milk to avoid the stomach problems. Also, your comparison of bad v worse is accurate. All 3 of the major pain killers - aspirin, tylenol, advil - have negatives. And now Aleve/Naprosyn can be added to that. Tylenol, advil, naprosyn all affect your liver over time, but you are right, the alcohol/tylenol combo is particularly bad. As others have said, prevention is the best cure for hangovers, along with hydration and water. All of the painkillers mentioned above should be taken with food and plenty of 'clean' fluids. :)

  45. Don't forget a quick dose of penicillin! <3

    ReplyDelete
  46. Drink in moderation, quit drinking long enough before bed that you've come down.

    ReplyDelete
  47. I agree with Adore! Menudo soup with cilantro, onion and lemon and Tabasco. SoCal prescription!

    ReplyDelete
  48. Um, if I might venture a comment about pain killers and their effects, well DRINKING is bad for you too LOL. Bad on an empty stomach, bad on your liver, just like pain killers. Common sense dictates that you don't use either of them too often ;>

    ReplyDelete
  49. Have a good day off, Enty!

I don't know of ANY full proof method for not acquiring a hangover beside not drinking, but this helps alleviate the severity:
Food (at some point before you quit). I try and balance 1 water for every drink (that does not always happen :-/)
At bed, drink LOTS of water. I had always heard you weren't supposed to take ANYTHING even Ibuprofen, but Motrin at bed for me has saved the next day many times. The next day, I try and drink a TON of water w/ vitamins (EmergenC or Vitamin Water or Gatorade). While I crave greasy, I've been trying to go for something tomato based, since that's supposed to help.

    ReplyDelete
  50. This sounds crazy but eating a bowl of chili after hours of drinking makes you bright and alert the next morning. I wouldn't believe it either but I've seen it work.

Will and Jada are all smiles today. I doubt Enty was working on any divorce settlement. Maybe he was celebrating the fact that Paris's show is cancelled thus marking the end of Paris on TV. Maybe she can now apply to be one of Charlie's goddesses.

    ReplyDelete
  51. I used to eat buttered toast and bacon the next day. Worked every time!

As for the ibuprofen, I take 600 mg twice a day, sometimes on an empty stomach and don't have any problems. I've been doing this for about 15 years for arthritis. Of course my family is famous for having iron stomachs.

    ReplyDelete
  52. My surefire hangover cure is to go to the local vitamin store and get some Chaser. Take 2 pills for every 4 drinks you have....no hangover whatsoever. Cheers!

    ReplyDelete
  53. That's OK--I'm prepping for the dumb hurricane anyway.

    Feel better, Enty!

    ReplyDelete
  54. What a crock of crap. ENTY just isn't that into you.

    ReplyDelete
  55. Mom's "patented cure?" Try a large Slurpee! The sugar will bring your glucose levels up, the ice/water will rehydrate you but is easy on the tummy. And .. they're just fabu!

    ReplyDelete
  56. LOL love all the hangover cures. Enty, keep your ears open for any dirt on what's really going on with Will and Jada. I'm not a fan and usually don't care about them, but all this furor and especially the way they are reacting to it has got me curious.

    ReplyDelete
  57. Coconut water- I use it for running to stay hydrated and as a hang over helper! Easier on the tummy than the sports drinks.

    ReplyDelete
  58. Just throw-up upon waking up. No use trying to fight it. Always gets me moving quicker. Followed by a very low-carb meal, like steak and eggs... Very well cooked eggs, nothing runny.

  59. We know you’re hearing conflicting reports about a certain celebrity couple. So, you want to know what’s really going on? Of course you do! Here you go:
    1. Saying that their marriage is “intact” is simply a fresh way of saying that they are not yet divorced. Therefore, it is a true statement.
    2. Celebrities want to be in control of the timing of announcements about their personal lives. They get really irritated when information leaks out prematurely. This couple is no exception. The info was leaked and they are furious. Expect them and their publicist/s to continue to deny any rumors to maintain a modicum of control until all the pieces are in place for the divorce.
    3. Whenever a couple insists on excessive PDA and statements about how manly/ womanly/ sexually active they are, you should immediately suspect that at least one of them is bearding for the other. In this case, it’s a double bearding.
    4. There are two publicists involved, not just one, and they are not playing well together. One contributing factor is a recent agent/agency shuffle.
    5. Although the couple hasn’t really spent any time together in the past month or so, the one thing on which all publicists can agree is… photo ops! So you should expect several staged photo ops in the near future of the “intact” family. There will be lots of big, fake smiles and boisterous, fake laughter and playful, fake cuddling. They’re actors, people. All of them. Actors know how to fake happyness.
    6. Leaking information that a woman is having a secret affair with her costar is a very creative way of trying to convince people that your client is heterosexual. She is not.
    7. Don’t expect anyone to come out of the closet on this one as a result of the divorce. Their livelihoods depend on them being perceived as stereotypes of an A-list masculine action hero and a sexy and devoted mom.
    8. Threats of lawsuits are mere blustering and are meant to discourage the media from printing additional stories. The truth is that this couple would never actually expose themselves to discovery (e.g. interrogatories, depositions, requests to produce documents).

    9. They’re done.

    10. Yes, we’re sure. We have only one degree of separation from this couple.

@ Sunshine - You beat me to it girl!!!! OMG!!!! : )

  61. thank you @Sunshine!

BTW, I took 600 mg of Naproxen and ended up almost dying. If you read the labels, the companies do say their product can lead to death. And sometimes it does.
