Did anyone watch Jennifer Love Hewitt in that Client List movie? I thought no one watched it and the only reason anyone did tune in was because of the publicity caused by Jennifer portraying a hooker. Well, somehow someone did some fast talking because now that made for tv movie is going to be a television series. Yep, Jennifer is going to play a hooker each week on Lifetime. It would be different if it was pay cable. It could be edgy or dark, but on Lifetime it is going to be 6 minutes of vanilla followed by either some medication commercial or why Pampers or Huggies is the better choice.
Oh, you want to know the most interesting part? As part of the deal Jennifer has with Lifetime she gets to direct a made for tv movie for the network. Well, at least she stays out of trouble and works hard. I guess I should admire that. She is just not that great of an actress, but I am talking about the network that loves Tori Spelling movie day so, there you have it.
I can't stand her. Who wants to start placing bets that her little made for TV movie will be about Audrey Hepburn (again)? And guess who she will cast as the leading role (again)? She is so pathetic and such a disgrance to the legions of Audrey fans around the world. She has some nerve.
ReplyDeleteThe Go Fug Yourself girls did a hilarious recap of that "Client List" movie. Seriously, I thought I was going to pee my pants reading it. If you want some guaranteed laughs, go read it and thank me later.
ReplyDeleteSubtitled "The Penis Whisperer" maybe
ReplyDelete@Texshan, you have made my day. The Client List review: http://gofugyourself.com/fug_the_fromage_the_client_list_080310-08-2010
ReplyDeleteAnd one more thing... one of her first roles was in Sister Act 2 where Whoopi played a hooker, so isn't it kind of fitting that one of her former students has now also graduated to this most noble of professions? The world's second oldest, as it were?
ReplyDeleteThanks for the url, atlchica! I was too lazy to look it up.
ReplyDeleteAly, if you watch the end credits of SA2, you'll see she's credited as Jennifer "Love" Hewitt. But apparently now it's actually a part of her name, rather than a nickname.
Wait. Her nickname was "love"?
ReplyDeleteNo.
I hate myself for knowing this, but Love was her given name. At some point, I think around age 12, they added Jennifer as her first name. God knows why someone would name their child Love and then pick Jennifer as the alternative.
ReplyDeleteSo her name was Love Hewitt? Either she lives in an English castle, or in a trailer park in Arkansas.
ReplyDelete(no offense to those actually from Arkansas.)
IMDB claims JLH is her real name: the Jennifer was supposedly selected by her borother, after a girl he had a crush on, and the Love was supplied by her mother.
ReplyDeleteatlchica, thanks for the link that was so funny. I bookmark it to read their gossip next time.
ReplyDeleteYes, her people call her Love.
ReplyDeleteI don't really like her either, but hey...at least she's working, right? Unlike 98% of other actresses in Hollywood.
ReplyDeleteawww, our little girl finally gets a role she can enjoy. good god.
ReplyDeleteWell, you know keeping the vajazzler stocked up cost money Enty. JLH got to work to find love in all the worst places.
ReplyDelete@ Aly - That was funny!
Yes, she went by Love Hewitt when she started out acting as a kid. I know she's a joke, but I loved Heartbreakers so much, I will always be a bit fond of her for that alone.
ReplyDeleteHonestly, good for her. She directed some Ghost Whisperer episodes, and that show got some pretty good ratings for a Friday night.
ReplyDeleteYeah, the girl has some issues- but honestly, she sticks to the light fluff with a bit of emotional weight- which is what she's good at. At least her idea of being edgy is going on Lifetime.
Love her acting or hate it, love the "gossip" (which it is, remember, gossip) about her or hate it, JLH is one of the hardest working, most professional actresses in television. A work ethic and drive that won't quit. Rare - trust - among former child stars (for example, Lindsay Lohan?). So few have remained focused, professional, grateful to have good work and kind to their co-workers as well. She's one of the few. From experience. Off soapbox now.
ReplyDeleteIf "Love" was her given name, why did it have quotes around it in SA2? I'm not doubting you, it's just a question. It seems to me that you wouldn't put quotes around a real name.
ReplyDeleteTexshan, from looking at her IMDB page, that movie was the transition from her going as Love Hewitt to Jennifer Love Hewitt, so maybe that was meant to indicate that even though her name is Jennifer, she was called Love? Just a guess.
ReplyDeleteKind of co-signing hunter here... don't normally care for JLH, however, girl gets it done and i can't fault her for that. she isn't snorting her fortune away or passed out on sunset or being carried out of clubs or being arrested or sucking billionaires c*%ks for vacations in st. tropez.
ReplyDeleteThe quotes around the name "Love" could have indicated that was what she went by. People do that with nicknames.
ReplyDeleteOr, what Mooshki said :)
