"Hey, I Know That Guy"
There is a trial that was happening in Chicago. It is not that big of a trial, but it is interesting and had a very big twist. A pimp is accused of finding women who emigrated to the US, confiscating their passports and forcing them to work for him in his massage parlors. So, basically a nasty guy. During the trial, one of the women who was forced to have sex with guys for the pimp was testifying about her experience. When she finished testifying she told the prosecutors that she recognized the pimp's married lawyer because he was a big client of hers. Uh oh. The judge ordered a mistrial and the attorney had some serious explaining to do. He says he only went for legitimate massages, and that he would never think of any kind of sex with a massage and gifts (yes, he bought her gifts) he bought the woman were wrong because he was married, but he liked her a lot. You know, because of the massage.
Ah, Good for her! These guys are both scumbags.
ReplyDeleteBWAAAAAHAHAHAHAHA!
ReplyDeleteWhat an idiot.
ReplyDeleteAhhh, Chicago.
ReplyDeleteElected officials were probably clients, too, or at least received large campaign contributions from the pimp.
Oops. Ha-Ha. Shoulda known better dumb ass (both of them).
ReplyDeleteBravo for the lady.
The only think that would have been funnier is she recognized the judge too.
ReplyDeleteAll I can say is that it's uncanny how that guy's expression is exactly the same as the one my chihuahua Benicio was sportin' when I caught him chewing my shoes the other day.
ReplyDeleteYou're out of order...
ReplyDeleteNo, you're out of order...
@ Patty - That would have been priceless.
ReplyDelete@ Figgy - He does have that "oh crap, I am so busted look".
What a complete idiot to think he would get away with this during the trial.
Hilarious. That lawyer was an absolute idiot not to have recused himself earlier.
ReplyDeleteHAHAHAHAHA!
ReplyDeleteRight f*cking on :D I think I've mentioned it on this site before, but just in case - if you haven't yet read Not for Sale: The Return of the Global Slave Trade--and How We Can Fight It , I suggest doing so. Very informative. Stuff like this happens ALL. THE. TIME. It's a depressing read but very necessary.
