Dougherty Gang In Colorado

I can already tell this is going to be made into a movie. If you have not been following this story, let me tell you a little about it. You have three siblings. Two brothers and one sister. One of the brothers is a registered sex offender because he has a history of sending sexts to kids as young as 11. First of all, how do you get the number of an 11 year old if you are an adult and second, do that many 11 year olds have phones or know what sexting is? So, this guy is a real piece of work. The sister is a former stripper who loves posting half naked photos of herself online and is probably sleeping with the third brother who I think is either a half brother or step brother but still creepy.

Anyway, the trip were in Florida when the police tried to pull them over for speeding. The trio got away after a 100mph car chase that involved the trio shooting out the tires of the police car. They then went to a bank in Georgia, shot off some rounds and robbed it and fled. Now they have been spotted in Colorado. Pretty tough to hide when there are three of you and you have plastered your faces all over the internet.

uhmmm Enty, you know NOTHING about 11yos... MOST OF THEM HAVE PHONES! My daughter is 18 and when she was in 6th grade, middle school, (11), she would beg on and on about not having a phone, everyone did, etc. etc. and yes, 7 years ago, alot of 6 grades AND YOUNGER.. had phones. Now plans have changed EVEN MORE making the plans more affordable, so at least on LONG ISLAND, alot, not all, but alot have phones. As for SEXTING.. Kids, maybe in the NORTHEAST, and someother areas, NOT ALL, start looking for BF/GF in the 2nd/3rd grade. NOT ALL OF THEM, but the ones who try to 'BE COOL' and some parents ENCOURAGE IT. and Sexting, well, AS A PARENT, you get all the warnings from school as a parent. (you see it on tv, the news, etc). I talked to my children from the very beginning about it, but not all parents do... OBVIOUSLY ENTY, YOU DO NOT KNOW PEEPS WITH KIDS.... This might make you ill, but look at the intros to shows like 'DR PHIL' and 'DR OZ' when he deals with 'teen issues'.

  3. "It appears they were captured after a car chase ended a mile north of Walsenburg."

I used to ride my motorcycle all over that part of CO and NM. It is not a great place for hiding. They should have avoided one of the most vacant parts of the country.

  4. I can't imagine how these three siblings managed to agree to do all these things. My siblings and I can barely agree on where to go for dinner.

  5. I don't really understand this whole thing. Why are they committing crimes? This whole thing started because they were speeding? Ugh, sometimes not having a television is annoying.

I used to live in CO's Front Range, and I had the same thought. Um, you MIGHT want to pick a locale with better hiding places.

  7. Lol SusanB! That's what I was thinking. Must have been some stellar parenting with this bunch, too.

Raise your hand if you think this story would neatly fit into a couple of episodes of Justified, Season 3. I seriously looked for a Raylan Givens reference in the 2-3 articles I've seen.

  9. One of the bros has a pregnant gf who posted on Facebook that while she understands why he did what he did, he'd better show-up when the baby comes. Good luck with that.

Someone who saw them in CO called the local radio station to report the sighting. Wouldn't it be easier to dial 911?

If they were smart criminals, they would've been caught. Obviously, they aren't smart enough to figure that out.

We have a place not too far from Walsenburg, CO. Their vehicle would stick out in such a small town. They are not too bright.

  13. She resembles Casey Anthony in that photo. Maybe Casey can play her part in the made for tv movie.

  17. Hell yeah, Movie of the week, bring it on! Sex, violence, sibling rivalry. Bring it!

One little nagging thought: poor children, what their childhood must've been like to grow up and become this way.

    Hang the parents!

  18. The woman in the picture is 29 years old; the guys are 26 and 21 respectively, and only Mom knows what good people they are inside.

  19. Yeah. These are GROWN ADULTS who committed the crimes. I say leave their poor parents out of it. Imagine their guilt, confusion, and sorrow right now.

  23. Yeah, this is a crazy story. Sounds like they went off the deep end. One of them sent a text to their mom about "having to die at some point."

    Glad they were captured.
