I just can't click on that. I hate that song. I loved it back in the day and I'm embarrassed. In 2001, we were robbed and the punk-ass thief took all our CDs, about 200 in total. Remember when you used to buy CDs for one song? Anyhoo, insurance offered to replace them but we were good about not getting the Chumbawumba CD replaced. We opted for cash instead.
That song just came out for Rock Band but we didn't buy it (yeah, we still play it).

Me too! :-)
Just glancing at the *headline* made the original song get stuck in my head for hours, though. I'm not even gonna CLICK that link -- though I do admittedly like TMBG a lot.
Pissing the niiiiiight away. Pissing the niiiIIIIIght awaaaaay...
TMBG is the only group that hubby and I will still pay to see. We went to lots of concerts back in the day (pre-kids, no mortgage, lots of disposable income), but most of them just cost too much these days. But we continue to shell out the $$ for TMBG because they're just so good. I think we've seen them 6 or 8 times. And their kids' CDs are great too!
Love, love TMBG, my kids turned me on to them, it's one of the few groups that my hubby and I and our teens can listen to in the car and please everyone. I liked this version, it was fun!
I love, Love, LOVE TMBG!
ReplyDeletegreat cover, but it was always a great original song!!! You can't help but get uplifted!!
ReplyDeleteI royally hate that effing song.
ReplyDeleteConfused. Why is this interesting?
ReplyDeleteLove the song, always will. Thanks Enty for brightening my day :-)
ReplyDeletePut me in the never liked that song group.
ReplyDeleteAwww, I liked it. That song (although ridiculous) reminds me of my freshman year of college, so it will always hold a special place in my heart.
ReplyDeleteI <3 TMBG :D
ReplyDeleteSloan also did a cover for this series \m/ >_< \m/ They covered Gary Newman's 'Cars'
If any of you have kids, TMBG make the most listenable, fun kids music out there. It's TOTALLY FAB.
ReplyDeletei couldn't help but laugh at the guy in the purple shirt behind them. he was REALLY enjoying himself, and he was slightly awkward, hahaha!

I bought their album "Flood" back in university--that I just called it an "album" should tell you just how long I've been a TMBG fan...lmao.
ReplyDeleteMinimum Wage was always my favourite.
while annoying, i guess it's a nice of any group to resurrect one hit wonders.
