Edith Bunker FTW! And all the folks who excuse geriatric bigotry by saying bullshit like "well, they're just used to thinking a certain way because it's all they know, blah blah blah" can STFU, now. Jean just proved how it's never too late to become evolved.
I LOVE Jean Stapleton. I saw her in a production of Romeo and Juliet a billion years ago (she played J's nurse), and she was *fantastic* in it.
ms snarky..we got there in SF and then some left wing nuts from outta state took it away. But kudos to NYU for getting it right and for Cuomo getting support from the Repulicants before the vote..One day my friends we will all be free.
I went to high school in L.A. with Cloris Leachman's son and with Jean Stapleton's daughter. I would be surprised if these fine women didn't know if/that their kids are/might be gay. I don't know if the kids are gay but the families were very open-minded and loving.
Debbie Reynolds?
ReplyDeleteDoes Florence Henderson have an Emmy?
ReplyDeleteJean Stapleton from All in the family.

ReplyDeleteMarion Ross.
ReplyDeleteYeah, Jean is 88. Florence is still in her 70s.

ReplyDeleteI agree with the Stapleton guess. And good for her for supporting her daughter.
ReplyDeleteCloris Leachman/Mary Tyler Show
ReplyDeleteWhoever it is, good for you. A gentle high five and pat on the back to you.
ReplyDeleteThis shouldn't be blind. I want to give this person a giant hug and thank you.
ReplyDeleteAlso, Carol Burnett has a bisexual daughter, so it could be her?

Good for Jean, although it would have been nice if she had just been for it all along. But good for her, anyway.
ReplyDeleteWe just got marriage equality in New York State, so maybe Cali will reconsider now that another very populous state went for it.
How often is it that the east coast is more progressive than the west coast? : )

ReplyDeleteCalifornia will always be behind because of Orange County...we just can't shake that conservative voter pool...

ReplyDeleteAlthough, it would seem to be Jean Stapleton.
