Good News And Bad News For Chris Colfer
Yesterday, Chris Colfer found out he was nominated for an Emmy Award. He also found out he was being let go from Glee after next season. Apparently though Ryan Murphy pulled his usual ass hat moves and decided he would make a big splash publicly and not bother to tell any of the affected cast members before he blabbed. Chris says he learned he was going to be let go on Twitter. See, yesterday, I said a couple of nice things about Ryan and now have to take them all back. Who does that to people? Oh yeah, a guy who has an ego bigger than almost any human alive. This guy wants to be the star and he probably hates it that he is not in front of the camera becoming one so tries to get as much attention for himself as he can. Whether it is ticking off bands across the world who refuse to give him music or not even bothering to tell an actor they are going to be let go, Ryan Murphy just wants everything about him.
I like this kid, hopefully he will win an Emmy if not have a great career after Glee.
ReplyDeleteI love him and he's the part I enjoy most about Glee, his family life and his relationship with his dad and Blaine. So they won't even be together on the show since DC is staying.
ReplyDeleteI could see Ryan trying to send the three in a spin off to NYC but if he hadn't even mentioned anything to the actors maybe not.
i dont like this Chris Colfer anyways. I read somewhere about what a DIVA he was! Good Riddens!
ReplyDeleteI thought Ryan said he had talked to the actors - or was he just talking about Finn and Rachel (sorry dont know their real names)? In that case, I would be pissed if I were Chris
ReplyDeleteAw, Chris will be fine. That Glee role was written for him by Murphy. I doubt there will be any hard feelings.
ReplyDeleteI've always thought Murphy was a total dick for freaking out at bands for refusing him their music. This seems to be further evidence of his dickery.
ReplyDelete"Dickery" is my new favorite word.
ReplyDeleteRyan IS a douche nozzle for pulling this shit.
ReplyDeleteThose kids work really really hard during the year AND still have to do those stupid shows around the country.
He basically pimps them out and drops them when he's done. Not letting Chris Colfer (or Cory Monteith) know in advance is HARSH and totally delusional egotistical.
Oh, yeah, he's probably a dick when he does that to Chris, but he does with Lea, it's funny and HAHA, right?
ReplyDeleteI think this is the reason I fell out of love with Glee. All the ego tripping between Lea and Ryan Murphy. Chris Colfer is a sweetheart but he will go on and do bigger and better things.
ReplyDeleteDidn't Ryan used to be a writer for Us magazine? I remember he used to whine even then about having to interview Meg Ryan or whoever. I was a big fan of his a few years ago during the Nip/tuck years and then I discovered Popular - which had a very good first season - but the second season was unwatchable garbage. No wonder it got cancelled. Now I think he's a dick that uses actors and of course Perez to make himself look good. Which Perez never hesitates for a second to do.
ReplyDelete@JasonBlueEyes "Move Ryan Murphy out of television...I am Chris Colfer!"
ReplyDeleteThe thing is, Ryan Murphy didn't actually fire any of them, he just said it wouldn't make sense for them to be on the show after graduating. I bet there will be a lot of negotiating going on before any final decisions are made, including whether or not there will be a spinoff. And Ryan Murphy has been saying that he would move to a new cast when the old kids graduated for at least a year. This is all just about Ryan Murphy stirring up drama to get attention. He really needs to put the focus back on the show, not the melodrama surrounding it.
ReplyDeleteLast year Ryan Murphy said the plan was for the "kids" to graduate and then have new kids. I don't see how this could really be a shock for the actors, though I agree it should have been made "official" to them first.
ReplyDeleteTo be fair to Ryan Murphy, considering that all the seasons have covered exactly one school year and in the finale they had Rachel make such a HUGE deal about leaving after graduation? It's not like this was a huge surprise to anyone- except to the media.
ReplyDeleteColfer even said it wasn't that surprising to him, but that he hadn't heard for sure until he saw the stories. Not the most brilliant thing for Murphy to do, but I think that everyone, Enty involved, is overreacting about this non-story.
I can't imagine NOT having hard feelings having had learned about it on Twitter....surely they had to have discussed this though out the last season?
ReplyDeleteI really like Chris, so I hope he goes on to bigger and better things.
