Did You Love Friday? Wait Until Saturday!
Rebecca Black is debuting her new single and video next week on YouTube. There is no way she will ever approach the views she got from Friday, but she is going to give it a shot. I hope she did not spend her own money making the new video. That money she made from the first video should be invested wisely and last a lifetime. If you make that much money as a teenager there is no way you should not invest that wisely and never have to work past the age of say like 35. Of course she probably blew it on a signed Justin Bieber bottle of perfume and her very own 24 karat gold Friday necklace and Friday car.
The song and video are all about her fame and how lucky everyone is to know her and how famous she is and she took her cameras to school and showed all her friends how famous she is and then cuts to moments on the red carpet so she can show how famous she is. What it does not show are the moments where celebrities are like who the heck is that and why does she think she is famous?
She donated the proceeds of Friday to charity (Japan and her school) so there isn't any investing going on.
ReplyDeleteMeh, she's harmless. If she's having fun, I say good for her.
who? what? huh?
ReplyDeleteOh, dang... I thought this was going to be about Ice Cube. I loved his movie "Friday"! The two sequels were okay, but not nearly as great as the first.
ReplyDeleteOh well.
I thought maybe you were going to do a Saturday post. Talk about disappointment. In all honesty, I don't know this person.
ReplyDeletethis auto-tuned atrocity is only worthy of a t-pain remix. poor little girl is being deluded into thinking she has singing 'talent' for the sake of making a buck off her...that's just so, so, soooo many levels of wrong. those ark music factory people have got to be THE slimiest wanna-bes in the industry. i hope they enjoy their run b/c it's not as if anyone legit respects them.
ReplyDeleteShe can think she's famous all she wants, I just want her to stay out of my consciousness.
ReplyDeleteYes, MissJenny!
ReplyDeletePookie - do you think they even care about that? I think that as long as they get money and have fun making movies with young girls they are fine. As you said, they seem incredibly slimy...
ReplyDeletei don't mind one hit wonder novelty songs. But when they try to build a career out of it, its kinda sad.
ReplyDeleteShe is 14 her mom should be having her focus on school. I think this girl's life story is going to end really really sad.
Confession: I've never heard this "Friday" song nor have I seen the video. People said it was terrible and annoying so I didn't click on it. Weird, huh?
ReplyDeletechopchop, you have great self-control! haha! I had to see what my kids were laughing at.
ReplyDeleteHow did she earn money from the video? I thought she had to pay ARK to make it? In any case, it's great she donated her proceeds. I hope she finds a nice song that kids will like to sing along with, not one that they want to make fun of.
Her voice tone/quality is not very good, so it needs to be a really, really good song this time.
chopchop - You are missing out on some truly really inspiring lyrics. Watch Jimmy Fallon's version.
ReplyDelete@timebob - I agree w/ all you said
It IS great she donated $$ to Japan so I'm not gonna hate on her.
She's in Katy Perry's video for "Last Friday Night". It's going to be hard for this little girl when her 15 minutes are up and she has to go back to Dullsville, USA.
