I think Celine Dion must have laughed at least once in her life. I mean the first time she saw her husband naked that must have brought out at least a chuckle? An upturn of the mouth? A nervous twitch? Well, she definitely cannot handle some gentle ribbing because her lawyers shut down the website called Ridiculous Pictures Of Celine Dion. It was hilarious and the person who ran the site shut it down because they could not afford a lawyer. I have reached out to them and told them I will take it on for free because it is just someone who does not like people making fun of her and using power and money to make her way happen against someone who has none.
Can you imagine her trying this stunt with Saturday Night Live if they had a skit making fun of her faces? Of course not because NBC has big nasty lawyers too. What really sucks about this is the fact that Celine is being a bully but she has probably said at some point she was bullied or hates bullying. Celine makes ridiculous faces. Does she think they are normal? Has she looked at other people or does she focus entirely on herself at all times?
There should also be a site for John Mayer's faces and of course Paris'.
ReplyDeleteOh this is gonna be fun to watch play out.
ReplyDeleteThat was really nice of you. I hope they take you up on it
ReplyDelete@rareavis...I agree with you..I like when Enty puts his dukes up in defense of an underdog...he's like a superhero.."Pork Man"
ReplyDeleteI had to stop writing my blog, Crazed Celebrity (photos of bug-eyed celebrities), because I couldn't afford to pay for photos. It was always my biggest nightmare to have something like this happen. Good for you, Enty, in taking him on for free!!
ReplyDeleteFUNNY!
ReplyDeleteCeline Dion is an unfortunate example of a Quebecer and gives the rest of Quebec a bad name. Not all French Canadians are like this, I promise! I wish she would fade into obscurity but it won't happen.
ReplyDeleteGood for you Enty! Well Done!!
ReplyDeleteDoes anyone else see the irony of Enty posting a Your Turn yesterday about whether or not we like to see ourselves in pictures and this posting about Celine Dion?
ReplyDeleteI am no Celine Dion fan, she annoys me to no end, and many of us posted yesterday on Your Turn, we hate bad pics of ourselves. Can you imagine a whole web site dedicated to posting the worst pictures you've ever taken?
Just sayin!

ReplyDeleteGet over yourself Celine.
ReplyDeleteHave you ever seen Kathy Griffin make fun of her? Priceless.
Voice of Reason - she works in the public spotlight. I hate having my photo taken, but if I was someone who worked in front of the camera, I would EXPECT it. It's part of the job.
ReplyDeleteAna Gastayer did do a brilliant Celine on SNL. "Allo, I am Celine Di-OHN!!"
ReplyDeleteHere you go:

@mngddess
ReplyDeleteMore to the point was the irony of the two postings. Also living in today's society, none of us can reasonably expect privacy these days, whether you are a celeb who has a web site dedicated to displaying really bad pictures of them, right down to each of us who has people tagging unflattering pics of us to FB. We're all out there now. Which was what prompted me to have a moment of compassion for an otherwise really annoying celebrity.
Enty, would this kind of case be covered by parody/free speech? I mean, she is a parody of herself...
ReplyDeleteYOU ROCK, BTW.
As do all of you CDaN contributors!
I agree with Voice O' Reason-if this was a non-celebrity it would be classed as cyber-bullying, rather than Celine being a bully. In the UK today on Sky News was the tragic case of a teen who jumped to her death in front of a train as a direct result of twats on the net who found it amusing to belittle her. Don't get me wrong, I've seen the website regarding Celine Dion and found it mildly amusing, but I wouldn't say she is the one guilty of bullying here, or that it's justified because she has a fantastic voice. Jeez I'm beginning to sound like a fan, and I'm not!
ReplyDeleteGOOD looking out Enty!
ReplyDeleteThe fact that she threw a tantrum over this site has made it much better known that it ever would have been if she'd just ignored it. I sure as hell didn't know about it until she threatened a lawsuit. It's all over the news now. Good going, Celine.
ReplyDeleteHahaha ditto Krissie!
ReplyDeleteI'm no Fan of Celine but my beloved Kathy Griffin of all people has stated that Celine Dion is nice. CD does come across rather humorless but also sort of like she wants to play along and appear to be a cut-up even though she just doesn't really understand what she's joking about. If that make sense. (Maybe it's a language barrier thing?)
ReplyDeleteI actually think it's her creepy husband making the big stink. He wouldn't want his cash cow going dry.
I found her so WEIRD....for lack of a better term, just a big dork.
ReplyDeleteI live on the Quebec/Ontario boarder and once you go to 'the other side' (quebec) it is a different world. Canadian french people are so weird & I swear all the men own speedos & are gay & they all sport a 1970's porn mustashe.
ReplyDeletei HATE this woman, her ugly face, her anorexic body and her SHITTY music.
ReplyDeletejust had to spew that out. carry on.
I'd never heard of the site, but hope someone takes it over b/c it sounds hilarious to me.
ReplyDeleteThat's really ignorant to say about Quebec, Diane. Also, there's nothing wrong with being gay. FYI.
ReplyDeleteHas she *seen* herself singing? Sorry Enty, but I sense it's one of your fellow lawyers looking to pump up the old billings and eat away at Dion's retainer. This is *so* dumb.
