Casey Anthony Gets Out Of Jail

Shortly after midnight, Casey Anthony walked out of jail with her attorney. They went back to his office and spent some time there before she got on a private plane heading somewhere. No one really knows where although she cannot stay in hiding too long because she has to appear at a law firm in October for a defamation deposition. In one of the strangest things since Adam Sandler actually did find Winchestertownville, Iowa or whatever it was in Mr. Deeds, it turns out there is an actual person with the name Zenaida Fernandez-Gonzalez and she also happens to be a nanny. Casey made up the name when she was lying about what happened to Caylee. Zenaida is suing Casey for defamation saying she cannot get a job now.

  3. Exactly where is the money coming from....Private planes don't come cheap.
I will not read or watch anything she's making one cent on.

  4. How can you defame someone you thought was made-up?

  5. Oh please. This "Zenaida," who had the misfortune to have the same name as the one Casey made up, is now trying to cash in, just like everyone else.

As to the deposition, I'm sure it can be worked out that she can give her deposition by video, live, rather than having to show up in Orlando, or wherever it would take place, just to ensure her safety.

We may not like her or agree with the verdict, but she was found not guilty, and now has to move forward with her life (which will not be easy), but she is entitled to do so.

Honestly, I think we need a cooling off period. The media needs to focus on new things, rather than where she may or may not be, who's financing all of this, etc, etc.

  6. Missjenny619, people like you scare me as much (or worse) than Casey Anthony does. You are creepy as hell.

  7. What MISCH said. Who's paying for the plane? Gross.

  8. Sunnyhorse - HA! Love it, goodie for me =) Grow a sense of humor and take that stick out of your rear-end!

  9. Wait, I thought that Zenaida person (the real one) lived in Casey's apartment complex. Someone whose paid more attention than me feel free to correct me.

Is she allowed to leave the country?

  10. Perhaps the lawsuit is karma beginning.

  11. She's a convicted felon. She can't leave the country any more than Paris Hilton or the Davis brothers.

  12. @__-__=__ Actually, she was convicted of misdemeanors (the lying), so she is free to leave the country.

  13. That is one of the scariest looking women I have ever seen.

  14. i'm with you Nightmare Child...she looks AWFUL! that hairdo isn't do her any favors!

  15. She actually was convicted of 6 felonies for check fraud against her friend while she was awaiting trial for murder. Also, this Zeniada Gonzalez has had a suit pending since very early on and while it may not have much merit, it was pushed back while she was waiting criminal proceedings. Her attornies are very good and reputable, and I think that they are more into getting her story on tape and under oath (you can view the depo live) so she can't change it during a paid interview.

  16. There are going to be all kind of lawsuits flying around in re this case - Padilla is suing her, Gonzalez is suing her, Kronk is suing Padilla, etc, etc. Actually I feel sorry for Zenida - she said when this first happened, she and her children were threatened - that had to have been rough.

As for Casey, she'll come up for air soon enough - she'll miss the attention and as I said before, within 3 years she'll be back in jail. We'll be hearing about her for YEARS to come.

@missjenny619 you are really a creep and not at all funny.

  18. I watched a bit of the interview with Zanida and she said she had applied to rent an apartment where Casey said she lived and figures somehow Casey got a hold of that application as she had the type of car she was driving, name of her daughters and other information Casey shouldn't have known. She was shocked when the police came to her home and they had all that information.

  20. Missjenny, I don't have a stick in my "rear-end" (gratuitous hyphen use, anyone?) -- but I am creeped out by the overinvestment and vigilante mentality some people are displaying in regard to the Anthony case. Don't like it? Sue me.

  21. Cash in on who? This Zenaida person is suing CASEY. That's not exactly cashing in. This may be the only accountability Casey will end up having after this whole thing is over.

    ReplyDelete
  22. I also want to know who is paying for this; are they assuming this will all be covered from the huge payments Casey hopes to get from future interviews and book deals? There had better not be any tax dollars protecting this vile woman's hide. She does not merit any kind of Witness Protection-like program. I don't wish ill on anyone, but it wouldn't upset me at all if the rest of Casey's life is less than pleasant. I'm sure she's already in "Poor picked on me" mode; classic narcissistic reaction to anything that doesn't go her way.

  23. 0 - Why do you think Casey's in Columbus, OH?

    ReplyDelete
  24. I totally think Casey is going to hop in the sack with Baez.

I agree Zeneida is cashing in and I'm not one for frivolous lawsuits. However, she did get a lot of crazy ass threatening phone calls when the child was first reported missing. Of course, we all know now she was really dead and her bitch-ass mother did nothing about it.

    ReplyDelete
  25. She's not on parole/probation for anything, is she? I got that she had served her complete sentence. She can do whatever she wants, including leave the country.

There will be lots of lawsuits, but you can bet your bippy that she is going to plead the fifth for every question except her name.

Before the trial, I thought this chick was guilty as hell based on the evidence that we got in the news...but the prosecution convinced me SOUNDLY that I might not know what the hell I'm talking about.

    ReplyDelete
  26. I've never believed she made up the name. That's a lie. She knew the name somehow, from the phone book, from a flier, I don't know or care. That's not a coicidence and the nanny will win this one.

  28. Sunnyhorse and Sussique - Hi, welcome to the CDAN blog comments. You must be new here since you are obviously unaware that what some people say on here is not always PC and there is plenty of sarcasm as well. Also, I do not recognize your monikers but I can tell you that I have been a commenter on this blog for several years. If you can't handle the comments we post on here, I suggest you go read PopSugar and comment on their threads...

You might want to skip reading DListed too... I'm sure you would think MichaelK (my hero) is "creepy as hell" too

  29. @missjenny619 - I have been here since the beginning, and rest assured, I too find your comments offensive.

There's a big difference between not being particularly PC and uttering threats. Putting in writing, what pretty much amounts to a death threat, not only reflects poorly on you, but shows you have too much time on your hands.

The trial is over and it's time to move on.

  30. They have a really huge resource of documents on this case at Investigation Discovery .. or at least they used to. But .. yes .. Casey apparently went to an apartment complex with on of the dudes she was banging at the time and saw Ms. Fernandez-Gonzalez's name in the register of people who had come to the complex looking to rent. She stole the name there as far as the Orange County Sheriff's Department is concerned.

  31. Christ, after getting away with murder and avoiding the death penalty, everything else is gravy.

  32. @Laura-Casey has family ties to the area. Her Uncle owns a car dealership in the area. I doubt she will be welcome there with them. Her aunt called a big BS to the molestation issue and called Casey a liar.

  33. I live in Central Florida relatively close to where the Anthony family lives and everyone I know is utterly sick of Casey Anthony and doesn't want to hear her name uttered again.

Hopefully she will rot in anonymity wherever she decides to live but with those freakish elf ears, I don't know.

  34. Did you guys read the article in todays NYT? The computer technician who investigated how many times she searched the word chloroform apparently contacted the prosecution in mid june, to tell them that he had made a mistake. She did not search for the term 84 times, the computer program made a mistake. Instead, she had searched for it once. The prosecution told him they were aware of that, yet never mentioned that in the trail nor told the defense about it.

Legal minds in the comments - can there be any consequences for the prosecution because of that?

  35. who cares who is paying for this? likely her attorney are, and why does that matter?

the only way taxpayers will foot any future bills is if ridiculous people, like the first commentator, make legitimate attempts to hurt/harm casey anthony.

i just don't understand the obsession with the whole "getting away with murder" issue. aside from the fact that no actual murder was proven, the american/british/canadian/australian governments murder people every day across the world and no one seems to care as much as they do about this case. just because nancy grace is an obsessive, fear-mongering propagandist doesn't mean we all have to be.

so casey anthony may have gotten away with something. who freaking cares when bigger issues like...oh, i don't know...gay people can't get married and are viciously attacked every day. or maybe how black babies are killed more frequently than white children and no one seems to be in a huff.

shape up peeps! there are bigger issues in the world.

  37. Jenny (I'm done with the "Miss" bullshit, because you don't merit the courtesy), I've been reading this blog pretty much since its inception. My and Sussique's infrequent comments are no reason to throw down that ridiculous "I was here first, and I'll be an abusive asshole if I want to!" card. Spare us, won't you?
