Blind Items Revealed

July 1, 2011

This actress had one of the longest careers ever. She starred in what is considered by some to be the best movie ever made. She was also an Academy Award winner/nominee. The thing about our actress is she never got married. She also never really had that many relationships. Maybe one or two that might have happened when the whispers got louder. Oh yes there were whispers about something. Why would I write about something if there were no whispers. It seems that our actress did have a lover. A lifetime lover actually. Not so strange or whisper inducing right? Well, it is if your lover is also your sister.

  1. Holy cow X2. First to the blind, and secondly that this is still going. I just came back to check on them, and we're only in July! 2pm tomorrow this should be done. ;)

  4. This rumor comes from "The secret life of Humphrey Bogart: the early years (1899-1931" by Darwin Porter (page 65). The book reads like fan fiction, so make of it what you will.

  7. Thanks, Enty! For "keeping 'em honest" (even the dead should be held accountable... including you, Gish girls!) and for devoting so much time to entertaining us.

To all of you regular CDANers... you are awesome! Happy second half of 2011!

  8. Holy shit.
    He actually revealed this one.

Thank you, Enty, for what's gotta be one of your biggest reveal days yet.
I salute you for your dedication and devotion to the blog and for managing to satisfy our seemingly insatiable appetites for the salacious.
I hope you had a great holiday, and that you find a way to continue what you're doing - just make sure whatever hidey hole you're headed for after what you've revealed today has internet access, okay?
I'm sure I speak for everyone when I say we couldn't get through the day without you.

May you forever find yourself with enough bacon and booze to make you happy, and here's hoping you're around for another 100 years to enjoy 'em properly.

    I love you, man.

  10. The people in Old Hollywood really had some big skeletons in their closets. Impossible to find anyone normal back then.

  11. I've actually heard this one for a long time - first read about it in one of Kenneth Anger's Hollywood Babylon books. And didn't we previously comment on the validity of these books? Just sayin.

But this has been a great day of reveals and am not feeling let down at all, so thanks Enty for everything!

  14. As I said before, this was in one of the Hollywood Babylon books and is also a well known lie.
Also, nobody ever at the time, questioned Lillian´s sexuality and this post sugests it was an open secret. Dorothy married twice and Lillian was a well known puritan type. She almost got married once, but she found out the groon to be was half jewish and she would not do it.
