Serbian audience members who saw an Amy Winehouse weekend called her concert the worst performance to hit any Serbian stage ever. I think when you book Amy as a performer you have that chance almost every night. Whether it is showing up late, forgetting the words to songs, or just mumbling for 90 minutes, Amy is willing to bring out everything in her quest to have the most bombs possible by one performer. Although I know she makes a lot of money for these shows, she might want to stick to just making records and selling those. If she does that she can be sober for just a few minutes a day and get it done.
I can't believe people are still willing to pay $60 a ticket to see her perform. That is crazy.
This is like a Carol Burnett skit.
ReplyDeleteWow.
ReplyDeleteI could not even finish it-too sad. What wasted talent.
ReplyDeleteHer last concert attempt was a failure - did the new batch of concert goers not hear of it? I'm surprised she showed up at all, nevermind make some attempt at singing.
ReplyDeleteTalent wasted.
it's sad to see her in this condition, which is why it boggles my mind that her "people" try to market her as being fit to perform. she's up there looking/dancing like goddess bunny and singing like a drunken baby. $60?? maybe just to hear the band perform with a picture of her behind them, how about that.
ReplyDeleteThere is a whole series of "Amy Winehouse vids posted by mikacapbt. Mostly it just shows a wreck of a human being staggering around shamefully -- but when has she done anything else? Don't people pay attention to her because she's one of the most famous addicts in the world? Didn't people listen to her "rehab" song and laugh at its insouciant cheekiness? People never cared about Amy Winehouse as anything but a drug addict and someone to laugh at.
ReplyDeleteHoly Hell. She could not even stand. What was with her checking out her arms? Was that singing? That was so awful. Beyond awful. I cannot believe she is not dead yet.
ReplyDeleteShe should get together with Whitney and call it the CRACK HO Tour, SMDH such a waste of talent
ReplyDeletesad.
ReplyDeleteI wont even watch the vid- I've seen similiar ones and it just breaks my heart.
ReplyDeleteSuch young talent that is being ruined. Didnt this all start with Blake too? I thought she started doing the really hard core drugs when he introduced them to her.
Ick, I HATE hearing about another amazing talent ruined by a man.
whomever is making money off her right now should be ashamed of themselves. you have blood on your hands.
ReplyDeleteI'm going to hell for this...I laughed.
ReplyDeleteBut yeah...people need to stop hiring this mess. I realise you can't make someone get sober, but cutting off their income might be a good start.
This is just sad. It's like paying for an Allman Brothers ticket just to see Greg throw up on stage. Whoever is letting this happen should be ashamed.
ReplyDeletejax - that's how I feel about the people behind Britney. I get the distinct feeling that girl wants to RETIRE, already.
ReplyDelete@ MontanaMarriott = Maybe they could get Pete Doherty to do special guest appearances!
ReplyDeletei almost don't want to respond to this, BUT i think this is another case of people paying way too much attention to someone who should be ignored.
ReplyDeleteand to all the gossip writers who said how great it was that she was 'clean' because they said she was off drugs, and only drinking, how stupid do you look now?
you don't snap your fingers and get 'clean.' she hasn't made one serious step towards getting clean. she doesn't even know what that means.
stop writing about her, going to see her, etc., unless and until she does that.
So sad. Such a waste of talent.
ReplyDeleteBut on the flip side, I hear A LOT of people still there, cheering her on. :-/
This is so very sad. I love her voice, and her songs (when she was in her prime). Hopefully she gets her act together before it's too late, because this tape tells me she doesn't have much time left if she keeps this up. It would be such a colossal waste of talent.
ReplyDeleteMost of the fun going to a concert, for me, anyway, is hearing great music from performers who love every minute of being on that stage and who connect with the crowds. This is why someone like Lady Gaga is so famous.
Amy may love to sing, but sadly, she doesn't seem to be into performing on that stage.
