Wish This Was On Cheaters

The National Enquirer took a page from their British tabloid cousins and pulled out the old hidden camera trick. They did so when they followed NBC anchor Chris Hansen as he went on a date and then spent the night with a woman most definitely not his wife. Chris is the host of To Catch A Predator. Now, Chris has been telling his wife that he is working on a story in Miami. Apparently when he means working on a story he means spending time between the sheets with a local news anchor. It would have been much better if The Enquirer confronted him in person or taped a reporter going to Chris' wife and asking her if she knows he cheats. While he was home in the other room. Before you say that is mean, just know Chris would do it in a second for ratings if it was his show.

  1. I hope this douche is the answer to all those blinds about the newsguy who's cheating on his wife.

Now I can drool over Brian Williams again without feeling questionable about it!

  2. I swear, with all these stories, it's like they could follow anyone around and catch them all cheating.

  3. While this guy is an absolute pig for cheating on his wife, I don't like the parallels everyone is making to what his show does. THERE IS NO COMPARISON!!! What he has done, while disgusting, is not illegal and concerns only consenting adults.

I hate that they are portraying this as hypocritical. The subjects on his show are disgusting perverts who prey on young girls for sex. Big difference...HUGE!!!

ITA Ice Angel...pedophiles for both young boys and girls...love his show and wish there were more sting like operations like it out there.

Who cares what he does in his personal life.

  6. @Ice Angel -- agreed. The comparison is absurd.

  7. Thanks, IceAngel, for saying it. Ever since this stupid story broke I've been irked at how many people are trying to make a parallel between this and is show. There is no parallel. No comparison. Completely different animals.

  8. it's not right to compare but it is funny he got busted.

  9. I am on board with IceAngel - in fact that was what I was coming on here to say myself, just not as eloquently. LOL

  10. Like his show but glad he was busted. Wonder what he told the person he was cheating with. Bet he did a Tiger on her. How did this all become so much more accepted and even expected. Where is the honesty in the world? (I'm so naive!)

  11. Wait...who's drawing parallels? No one here, right?

  12. @RQ -- I don't think Enty is drawing parallels, and I don't think any CDANers are, either. It's just the joking tone many other outlets are taking regarding this situation -- as if Hansen is anything like the fortysomething men who drive six hours because they think they're going to score with a thirteen year-old. Hansen's a dirtbag, but he's not a pedophile.

  13. Ah....haven't seen this written anywhere else!

  14. I heard this mentioned on NBC news this morning.

Wonder if he'll go to cheaters rehab?

Ive been seeing people laugh at this as if he ( Hansen ) somehow was getting "his" now..

but I thought about that ( what RQ said ) after I posted team IA too...as in ... I dont think the post or the commenters here are drawing comparisons..elsewhere on the interwebs

  20. I do not condone what he did, but that's his personal life. There are no parallels and I feel as if people trying to say, he's getting his comeuppance are siding with the pedophiles. I mean, how can a guy who tries to bring attention to the dangers of pedophilia and even goes on to testify in some of those cases to ensure that these people don't do it again, be getting reamed for poor marital choices, or serving his ego? We don't know what's going on in his personal life either. Maybe they are pretending to stay together for their children but living their own lives? NO ONE knows what goes on inside a marriage. Believe me. Hate the media is using this to knock what he does. Ridiculous!

  21. While I appreciated what he accomplished on TCAP (give me a bowl of popcorn and I could watch that shit alllll day) Hansen always seemed a bit douchey when he would ask the the perv, "Do you know who I am? I'm Chris Hansen with Dateline NBC..."

So fucking what, Chris. It's not about you.

That aside, I couldn't care less what he does, as long as it's not with a kid.

  22. This one of those let he who is w/o sin cast the first stone. It's either a sin or it isn't (in the bible). That's not my position, that's what the people saying he got his are referring to.

  23. @Me -- They're both sins, for sure. But even if you take the Bible out of the equation (which I will), pedophilia is still a WAY worse crime than infidelity. Waaaaaaaaaay worse. I totally get why the media's comparison between the two is offensive, pointless, and bothersome.

  24. I think Enty was just saying that it would be ironic if Hanson had been recorded confronted in a Cheaters/TCAP style. I don't think he was trying to make comparisons between pedophiles and cheaters.

  25. Well, at least Hansen's side piece is legal. It would have been funny if he got caught by Cheaters though. I loved that show!
