OJ Going To Confess His Version Of Events To Oprah

I realize that many people think Oprah is God, but OJ Simpson may not realize that by confessing his sins to Oprah does not mean a free pass to heaven is coming. After admitting that her one regret in all those years of forcing Dr. Phil down our throats, was that she never got OJ to confess, it appears that OJ is ready to confess all to Oprah. He apparently has already confessed to one of her producers. Well, let me clarify. He says that he stabbed Nicole in self defense. You know, because when he surprised her that night wearing all black and holding a knife she attacked him so he had no choice but to defend himself and then Ron jumped in and he had to put him down too. He will probably say he never confessed because he was afraid of what would happen because he is a black man who just killed two white people and that the police would have framed him and it will just be a big woe is me interview for an hour. Not saying it will not be good television, but I am saying that OJ will never just come out and say he went over to Nicole's house to kill her and her boyfriend and lied to everyone about it for all these years.

  1. Well fucking overdue. If this happens, though, will it open him up to further civil suits? Any lawyers who know?

  2. He might as well confess now. I don't think they can do anything about it. But! Part of me just wants him to stfu and just stop and go away. Buy a cabin in the woods, live off the land, and that's that. We never hear of him again.

  3. He already lost civil suits for wrongful death to both of Goldman's parents (they are divorced) and Nicole's family, so I don't know what other civil suits are left for him to lose. He can't be retried in criminal court. I guess he has nothing to lose at this point.

I wonder why he's confessing now? Is he terminally ill and wants one final media hurrah?

  4. Sue Ellen - He's in prison in Nevada for unrelated charges, last I heard.

  5. yea and he's serving 30 years or something crazy

  6. Does he have any type of relationship with his younger kids? The ones with Nicole?

  7. i just hope this isn't part of some bigger scheme to get early release from his kidnapping and robbery charges he is currently doing 10 years for.

No murderer ever admits it is there fault it is always an accident or self defense. I hold Johnny Cochrane and Robert Kardashian are turning in their graves.

  8. I thought Oprah was finished with her show? I guess this is for her struggling network, then.

  9. Shame on Oprah if she airs this bullshit. SHAME!

Double jeopardy prevents the prosecutors from filing another case against him-he's been acquitted. And the civil case found him guilty-any half-assed admissions on his part to Oprah will not change that either.

He's a fucking murdering scumbag who should rot in hell--I would hope Oprah wouldn't give him any time at all. He should just shut the fuck up and stay in prison--he's serving a 9 yr (I think) sentence for robbery in Vegas. FUCK HIM.

  10. @Rose -- I've wondered the same thing about his kids. :-(

@blondegossip -- word, word, WORD to your mother!! And to Oprah.

  11. blondegossip said it all.

    Those poor, poor children. :-(

  12. @little miss

Oh yeah, his little breaky breaky in Las Vegas. I remember the videos. O.k. So after he gets out of jail, he can do all that. Still stfu about it though, that's the key.

  13. I'm with Little Miss Smoke and Mirrors - what's in it for him? She can't be stupid enough to pay him for the interview, can she? Does he miss the spotlight?

    ReplyDelete
  14. I was just thinking about the kids he has with Nicole.

Trash TV or not, I know I'll be watching. I was fascinated by this case and the relationship between Nicole and O.J. When he was found not guilty I said then that before I die I want to hear O.J. admit to the killing.

  15. You know, I originally had an argument with someone about the Double Jeopardy thing in the 90's. I said "They WILL get him in a court of law somehow" and that person quoted the Double Jeopard rule. It wasn't but a a little while later that a landmark case of suing him in a Civil Court appeared, and yes, he was tried for basically the same thing. I guarantee you this, regardless of Double Jeopardy, if he admits it with Oprah, there will be an additional lawsuit of emotional harm for 'admitting it on tv' from the Goldman Family or Nicole Brown. I never say never in a court of law.

Besides, he's got some psycho people who will get wind of him admitting, and they will tear Oprah apart for this. Namely, Al Sharpton, MLK's kids, Black Panthers, etc. OJ can never admit this, because then the case of 'he's black, therefore he's guilty' will be null, which has always been the take in the Black Community on OJ.

  16. I'm with blondegossip - Oprah should be ashamed. Obviously her need for money/fame is more important than simple decency. As for OJ, he doesn't know what decency means.

  17. Of course it was an accident. He only went over there to beat the shit out of her.

  18. *siiiiiiigh*

Oh, Jamie's Girl. I was with you for the first paragraph and then you got to the second part of that comment, and...well. Hmmm.

  19. He already confessed in the "If I Did It" book that got squashed.
Of course, based on the evidence presented by the prosecution at the initial trial, his guilt was proven beyond a shadow of a doubt in my eyes.
However, thanks to the Dream Team he assembled, reasonable doubt was created and he walked.
IMO, his addiction to the spotlight has gotten the better of him and he's looking for more media attention.
Add to that my theory that he's terminal (and please, Karma, make it long, debilitating and utterly incurable), he sees this as a way of getting his addiction satisfied.

  20. I know one of Oprahs producers, I wonder if its them.

  21. I believe it was the late Dominick Dunne who said he was surprised how unintelligent OJ was but that no one was publicly saying it because they were afraid of being called racist. I always remembered that and, whenever OJ does something irrational, it often seems to be the only explaination that makes sense.

    ReplyDelete
  22. Ida- I agree, I was so there for a second...then that second paragraph started. *sigh*

    ReplyDelete
  23. So.....the white cop didn't plant the evidence? Well, what do you know.
And like it or not Jamie's girl has a point. It was the defence who played the race card in the OJ case.

  26. Jamie's Girl, I don't usually digress but your ignorant, derogatory comments were completely out of line. Whatever your opinion of "Al Sharpton, MLK's kids, Black Panthers, etc." to denounce an entire spectrum of mid- to left-of-center African Americans as "psychos" in a post about O.J. Simpson of all people is just plain dumb (not to mention racist). Clearly, you know nothing about the incredibly diverse political and philosophical differences amongst people of color in this country.

    ReplyDelete
  27. The only audience that should view OJ's 'confession' are the victim's families---the Goldman's, the Brown's and OJ's kids.

    ReplyDelete
  28. Couldn't they get him for perjury, if he confesses to a story that is different from what he told on the witness stand?

PLEASE, PLEASE, PLEASE let that be true. Because I want this asshole playing "ring around the bitchy" in prison for the rest of his life.

We have all known the sorry son of a bitch was guilty and he got away with savagely murdering two people for years. None of this is a surprise and I hope he rots in HELL.

  30. Ummm, I thought I read that Oprah said this wasn't true. I'll have to try to find that link.

  33. "Couldn't they get him for perjury, if he confesses to a story that is different from what he told on the witness stand?"

But O.J. never testified in his murder trial.

    ReplyDelete
  34. As someone mentioned above, only those involved- the victim's families- should hear this if they so choose.

Sometimes the mask is unveiled on just how rotten and truly evil the whole media hoopla is and this is one of those times for me. Reminds me of the time after Michael Jackson's death when they were gonna air photos of his autopsy or something.

I for one would never watch this. Shame on Oprah for being so inhumane and holding money up higher than respect for human life.

And Jaime's Girl- I just cant, really. What's next? Which other group are going to be included in your babbling comment? I'm assuming Gandhi and his civil resistance is going to be tied into the pack of 'pyscho's' your so ignorantly tying together with OJ Simpson. Contrarly to your understanding, the Black Panther's did POSITIVE things like feeding the poor in their communities and providing free health clinics amongst their community. I didnt realize that they were just around to hold up the race card. Ugh

  35. he has yet to pay the Goldmans a CENT. rot in hell.

  36. I don't believe ALL Black people think he is innocent, but a fair amount do. I remember arguing this with someone years ago. This man was arguing Kobe's case.....and then started on OJ's. I said, "You know, I'll give you Kobe, that one was iffy for me- but there's NO WAY IN HELL I am giving you O.J."

    ReplyDelete
  37. Oprah may not have the best intentions but I am kind of glad he is doing this. This way all the people who said he is innocent(which I know a good amount), will realize he did it.
Also hearing him admit it might give her family closure they never got?

  38. Long time lurker, first time poster.

I 100% believe that OJ killed Nicole and Ron and I hope he rots in hell. However, I also believe Al Sharpton, MLK's kids, Black Panthers and whatever other "psychos" that Jamie's Girl was referring to were completely justified in their claims of racism - let's not forget about Mark Fuhrman. For anyone who doesn't remember, he's the proven-to-be racist LAPD detective that pled the fifth when questioned about the blood marks on the driveway and leather glove that he initially claimed to find (he later pled no contest to perjury). His tampering is likely what created "a shadow of a doubt" in the jurors minds.

    ReplyDelete
  39. I think this is all false. It came from the Daily Mail, which came from the national enquirer.

    ReplyDelete
  40. Welcome, Cathy! Mark Fuhrman! I had forgotten his name...ugh. He's the only psycho in that list.

    ReplyDelete
  41. i'll get pounded for saying this but i'm saying it anyway.
nicole didn't come across as a very sympathetic victim, and ron was just 'there' and got lost in the hubbub, unfortunately.
given the racial make-up of that jury, no way OJ was going to be convicted, even if mark fuhrman hadn't been involved in any funny business.

just true. watch the reaction from white people and from black people at that verdict---that told you everything you need to know about how he got off.

It's amazing how visceral our emotions and opinions are about this nearly 20 years after it happened. I agree with those who believe that if OJ is going to confess, it should be for the victims' families to hear first. If Oprah is doing this, and that is the reason she is doing it, that's great. With her pull, maybe she is the only one OJ would confess to after all this time. Could be he is feeling forgotten, but if it gets the truth, or the closest version of the truth, to the Goldmans and Browns, then it is what it is. I feel so very sorry for those two kids that have to know somewhere deep down that their dad killed their mom. Add to that the fact that this story will never go away; there's no safe place for them to go to get away from it all. That makes me sigh.

  43. Dear Oprah, As much as you wish it, the job position for God has been filled and is not likely to be empty in your lifetime. Yes, you may indeed have more money than God, and quite possibly may own a fair bit of this planet earth, and could indeed buy even more of it, if you so choose, and your ego may indeed have exceeded the boundaries of The Grand Canyon--but to give O J Simpson a second of air time so he can 'confess' is the most asinine idea you have ever come up with.

    ReplyDelete
  44. He's a narcissist and believes he's invincible, that's what he gets out of it. To hear his great self talk about how he got away with murder. I'm with the rest of you who shame Oprah for giving him an ounce of time for her own selfish reasons.

    ReplyDelete
  45. "let's not forget about Mark Fuhrman"

Let's also not forget that his book led to a conviction in the Martha Moxley case.

    ReplyDelete
  46. OJ is no different than any other high profile defendant accused of something heinous that got away with it.
Did he probably do it? Yes.
Was racism/tampering involved against him? probably.
Given the heavy racial climate in LA alone, as well as the rest of the US, did some Blacks use this as a twisted sort of Karmic reaction during a time when Black men were being incarcerated/killed in drones and justice was not being served? Yes.

It's twisted, it's wrong, but sadly this is how our justice system works. It's the defendant hiring the best team possible to try to create the shadow of doubt. I feel like the only reason this became such a major story was because in colloquial terms, the shoe was on the other foot. I was only 7 when the trial was on, but from watching clips of it now it's kinda like watching a version of every civil rights based movie ever where the white guy gets off for a blatantly obvious crime.

    ReplyDelete
  47. Hmmm...I find it odd that he'd offer this up now, unless he had something to gain from it?

I don't love Oprah but I have mad respect for her. I don't want to see this interview. I don't need OJ to tell Oprah or the world that he did it.

    ReplyDelete
  48. I think the only way this would be good is 1. if Oprah paid him a ton of money which he then gave to his kids and the Goldmans since he deprived them of their mother/brother/son and 2. He is confessing to allow closure for all those he caused pain by murdering Ron Goldman and Nicole Brown.

I have a feeling it's all for publicity and money for himself.

  50. From Huffington Post

Oprah's representatives moved quickly to quash rumors that the talk show queen is conducting an interview with O.J. Simpson in which he confesses to murder.

The rumor raced around the Internet after the Daily Mail picked up a National Enquirer report that Simpson will admit to killing his late wife Nicole in a jailhouse interview.

But representatives for Harpo, Oprah's company, flatly told the Hollywood Reporter, "that's not true."

    ReplyDelete
  51. I'm not surprised this isn't true, I watched her show for years and I could not see her in the same room as him let alone do an interview with him. Oprah said on one of her shows that she believes he did it but she didn't have to say it, the look on her face said it all when she heard the verdict.

    ReplyDelete
  52. Virtual Boricua, Big Mama, Jasmine & Ida - all well-said. Jamie's Girl really should have ended with the first paragraph. Sigh.
