Paul McCartney Getting Hitched Again

Paul McCartney has guts. I will give him that. To go back into marriage after surviving Heather Mills is taking a big chance. Although I have been married multiple times, I never had a Heather Mills. Sure, I did not get along with everyone of my wives, but primarily I know it was my fault and that they really just did not know about my bacon and booze obsession and how it could come between us. Paul announced he is going to marry Nancy Shevell who he started dating right when he got divorced from Heather. Since Linda died, Paul has just been a serial relationship guy. I think he is lonely and so moves from one woman to the next. I hope this works out for him.

  1. Good luck Paul! I think Nancy has her own money so this might have a chance. Better chance than Heather anyways.

  2. I think he has been with Nancy longer then he was with Heather when he married that piranah. He does not strike me as a man who can live alone happily.

Obviously the money that Heather sucked up must not have put too serious a dent in his millions since he is going to chance marriage again. Good luck Sir Paul!

I don't think she is a with him for his money as she hs some herself. But, get a Prenup anyway Paul. I hope that they are very happy until death do they part.

  7. i hope he's happy. he deserves it. he's not the first lonely widower to be taken for a ride by a con artist.

this one seems like a keeper. wonder what his kids think? cuz if he'd listened to them the last time, he could've saved himself a lot of heartbreak.

  8. Sorry, I just don't understand why he's getting remarried.

  9. I'm one of the few that doesn't think Heather Mills is as bad as everyone else seems to think. In fact, I think she's done a lot of good for charities, and continues to do so. Whatever. Good luck, Paul!

  11. Cudos to Paul for having the balls to try it again.
But this time, I'm willing to bet he's not going in without a prenup - or without an extensive background check.
Regardless, best wishes, Sir Paul - may you again know at least a portion of the happiness you knew with Linda.

  13. I hope he gets a prenup regardless of how much money she has....

    But good for them.

  14. @RQ, Heather Mills is every bit as bad as everyone thinks she is. In fact, she's worse.

As for Paul, he's been dating Nancy for a long time. He doesn't do well without being married. I hope he's very happy. As much as he's done for the world, most of which we'll never know about, he deserves it.

  15. @Melody - maybe I missed something, but beyond their nasty divorce, name-calling on both sides and fight over money, what exactly makes her such a terrible person? It must have been tough divorcing one of the most beloved rock stars of all time. You're never going to look good.

  16. I'll email you. :)

I know Yoko's take on "being a Beatle wife" but Heather is worse.

And no, to anyone who asks, I don't know him, I know people who know him.

  17. There is a part of me that wants to say 'how insecure can a man this successful be that he again will not marry a woman close to his own age' but this is such a trend amongst men of his age and wealth that I should not be surprised by it anymore. Yes, true love can defy age differences, but when it happens sooooooo often, my first reaction is always skepticism.

  18. I think they will last. They always look happy together. Good for him!

  19. My question is why marry her? I understand companionship etc, but you no longer need to be married to be in a relationship.

Melody the First, what is Yoko's take on being a Beatle wife?

  20. @feraltart

She says that any Beatle wife is automatically the "other woman" in a Beatles fan's mind. I think she's a little off-the-rails there myself.

  21. With RocketQueen on this one. At least Heather is out there with her charity work and extreme-ism (?) in saving animals etc, that also puts people off. That said I wonder if he will get a prenup, I am willing to speculate that he will not, and I do not think Paul is the goody goody people think he is.

  22. @sis, about one-quarter of Beatles fandom hates him for ridiculous reasons, how on earth do you see him as being seen as a "goody-goody?"
He's not nearly the jackass John Lennon painted him to be. And Lennon is not the fallen hero people make him out to be. Both of them are very human, as are we all.

At that point, I have deadlines. Ciao, guys.

  23. Paul obviously adored Linda which is why I don't really understand this need to remarry. - His kids detested Heather from the start and still he married her. At least Nancy seems to be a more stable person with her own money. Whatever - I wish him luck and happiness and get a pre-nup Paul !

  24. He has not aged well.

  25. RQ, here's one for you: she had fireworks at a party without getting a permit or notifying her neighbors, and a neighbor's dog died from the stress of the noise.

I don't remember the specifics, but she was accused of running a con and pretending to raise money for a charity, but pocketing the money herself.

  26. Prenup this time? I haven't seen any info on that yet. Heather at one point was going for something like 450 million -- please have a prenup, Paul.

  27. Linda was obviously the love of his life and she was pretty close to his age. I don't fault him for going after a younger woman - a person has needs and it's not for me to speculate why he wants to marry again. Why not?

  28. Rumor has it that Yoko Ono set her sights on Paul and when he absolutely refused to have anything to do with her, she moved on to John, deliberately targeting him to break up his marriage and snag him for herself.
Rumor also has it that when Paul was arrested with weed coming into Japan, it was Yoko who tipped off the cops, angry that Paul was staying at "her" hotel suite there.
Anyone remember Heather Mills going on to talk shows with scrapbooks full of her bad press clippings to demonstrate her Lohanesque persecution by the media? Throwing the glass of water in Paul's lawyer's face in court? And it wouldn't surprise me if her fall on DWTS wasn't accidental.

  29. It's not unusual (thanks om Jones) for men who were married for a long time to feel most comfortable in marriage again even after the love of their life has died. It was my understanding that Linda also had her sights set for Paul from the beginning and like all hang tight groupies would not let any women get close to him once they were together. That being said, I believed they were soul mates and Paul just prefers to be part of a couple. And correct me if I am wrong but I believe he DID have a prenup, Heather just fought for more but didn't get it. Does this one pass the Stella test? That should say it all.

  30. It's great that he chose someone age appropriate. While she is traveling with him, where is her son? Why do men that age have orange hair? Especially with Beatle money.

  31. Macca has always been a hopeless romantic. All you have to do is read the lyrics from his songs. Starting with the Beatles and straight on into Wings and beyond, he's always believed in love. Let him have it! I read where Stella gave her stamp of approval. I hope they are happy for the rest of their lives.

PS Paul McCartney was my first love...I was five when the Beatles invaded...I still think he's adorable!

  32. @ Robert - I thought the rumor was that Linda had a crush on John but ended up with Paul?

    ReplyDelete
  33. Paul was so heartbroken after Linda died that he was ripe for some predatorial type getting her claws into him. It's ironic how both he and John got hooked by con artists.

This new love of his has her own money, so he doesn't have to worry about that. I wish them both the best.

  34. I am so happy for Paul McCartney. He seems to be a decent family man who enjoys being married. Hopefully he will find much happiness in his relationship with Nancy.

  36. I say Paul should have gone full circle and married his first love---Jane Asher.
