Nicollette Sheridan Case Going To Trial
Next month should be very interesting. Nicollette Sheridan's case is going to trial and you can just bet that most of the cast of Desperate Housewives will be called to the witness stand to testify about the goings on at Wisteria Lane. A judge here in Los Angeles dismissed Nicollette Sheridan's assault and sexual harassment claims but did allow her claims for unlawful retaliation and wrongful termination to stand and said of those claims that they are definitely something a jury should decide.
Although Nicollette Sheridan is a little kooky she does have a very good point in her case. She was killed off mid-season. That means the producers owed her all her money for the remainder of the year. This is why regulars are usually only killed at the end of the season. Not just because it is a cliff hanger but because their contracts have expired. Why kill her off when they owed her hundreds of thousands of dollars. They did not want her on the set any longer, but why? Stay tuned in June.
Just give her what she's due, cheapasses.
ReplyDeleteAnyone know offhand what "unlawful retaliation" means? Too lazy to look it up ;)
ReplyDeleteI tried looking it up, but I am too stupid to get it. Come on, any law students here?
ReplyDeleteIt's like when you have a valid complaint, bring it up to the proper authorities, and they make you clean toilets because of it. In simple terms.
ReplyDeleteShe looks like she has been ridden hard and put away wet.
ReplyDeleteI have to go back and read what NC is saying happened. Didn't Marc Cherry allegedly slap her as well? I think the show is better off without her, I like Vanessa Williams, but if she was let go for the wrong reasons or treated poorly than MC/ABC should pay for it.
ReplyDeleteWhoa, that picture is not flattering.
ReplyDeleteI know she's supposed to be a mean bitch, but I think the show needed her character.
So sounds like the unlawful retaliation was her complaining to the producers, and their response was firing her? Yeah, I'd say that's bullshit.
ReplyDeletefrom what I remember she disagreed with something in the script (shitty writing maybe). Marc pulled her aside and flicked her in the head for being difficult. She "claimed" it was a slap in the face but then backed down on those claims and admitted he didn't slap her.
ReplyDeleteThe show is shit now just cancel it and put everyone out of their misery.
Wonder if we will know the truth about this. They might make it confidential where everybody is happy with the results.
ReplyDeleteI bet they settle before it goes to trial. I think Marc and ABC are going to lose and they know it. Not a Nicolette fan, but if the bitch is deserved money she should get it.
ReplyDeleteHe flicked her??
ReplyDeleteIt's all vaguely coming back to me now.
I actually still watch this show...it's pretty horrible. I feel like I have to finish it, since I was so invested the first few years.
Now Private Practice, on the other hand. I had no qualms about quitting that. UGH.
I really like Nichollette Sheridan, always have since Knots Landing.
ReplyDeleteI'm glad she's not backing down.
