When Lindsay Lohan hired a new publicist, I'm sure the first thing he said to her was please, go out and party your guts out until the middle of the night every night and while you are out make sure you hassle someone who wants to take your picture and then start a big brawl and then blame it on everyone but yourself. Huh. That is exactly what Lindsay did so she must be taking the advice of someone.
Late Sunday night after Lindsay had been drinking for hours and hours and hours, one of the people at the table next to her decided to take a picture of Lindsay. Whoops. Lindsay objected to that by grabbing the wrist of the woman who was taking the picture, while one of Lindsay's friends grabbed the camera and doused it in an ice bucket.
Lucky for us, the camera was ruined, but not the memory card showing an earlier photo of a "belligerently drunk" Lindsay.
Lawsuit! Lawsuit! Lawsuit!

ReplyDeleteRQ - I'm not sure she actually ever signed a contract - at least she hadn't at the time of that big press announcement. First they said she would play Victoria Gotti, then it was Junior's wife. Since then, a new director has come on board (Barry Levenson, I think) and they said it will be a completely different film.

ReplyDeleteBarry Levinson PLUS Al Pacino. After the heat he took about Sophia Coppola being in GIII, I can't believe Pacino will tolerate Lohan having anything to do with this film. And mind you, Coppola showed up for work.

Vanessa Hudgens was partying until 4 in the morning at cannes Sunday night. She couldn't even walk or stand. Her bodyguard had to take her back to the hotel.

ReplyDeleteShe really DID have talent, though. If you ever catch vintage Lindsay -- the plump-faced, freckled, sparkly-eyed, shiny-haired, vivacious, emotive, and chem-free WAY younger Lindsay -- you can see a remarkable transformation. Watch Mean Girls. She's absolutely lovely and so, so charming in that movie.
After a certain point, you CAN'T blame your parents anymore, but they ruined her incredible potential by alternatively using/enabling the crap out of her.
A few months ago, I came across an old Vanity Fair article where people like Tina Fey, Lorne Michaels, Meryl Streep, Jane Fonda, and Robert Altman were singing her praises. That would never happen today, but she really did show enormous promise as a kid. She can act CIRCLES around people like ScarJo, Kirsten Dunst, Kiera, etc, but they've obviously made better life choices (even Kiki!), and I doubt LL will ever have the chance to prove herself.
I, too, think she'll die young. It's just sad that this is the kind of legacy she'll leave.
Ida I completely agree with you. She was a great actress...maybe still could be. I had empathy for her fora while, but when so many extend their hand to help you and you continue to smack them away..well..as they say " you can't help anyone until they want to be helped ". It always appears she seems so remorseful and willing to turn things around but I know the powerful draw of addiction and the LAST place your butt should be is in a bar when you are an addict.

But then again..I had a friend in rehab that had OD'd on H four times and had to be resuscitated each time and she still uses :(
