Kate And William Coming To North America

The first two weeks of July will pretty much result in royal overload. From June 30-July 8, Kate and William are going to Canada. After that, they will be coming to America. Unlike the movie though, they probably will not have to work at a McDonald's rip off joint or have to deal with Arsenio Hall. This will be Kate's first trip to the US. I can't believe she has not been here before. William has been here before, but never officially.

I realize that many people are excited, but it is not like most of us are even going to get to see them, let alone meet them in person, so it is still just going to be pictures and quick video clips. Are you excited? Do you care at all? Now, I could get excited if my Spanish princess came. You know, a little sunbathing in Malibu followed by a drinking contest at Moonshadows with Mel Gibson. That would be fun.

  1. I'd be excited if they were bringing Harry and coming to the midwest...otherwise not so much...

  2. He wants to see that skeleton in a bathing suit (the spanish princess, not Kate altho she did lose wayyy too much weight for the wedding so is therefore also a skeleton. Either way both would be scary in a bathing suit. EEK!

  3. I'd rather watch "Coming to America" again.

  4. Kate is a walking bag of bones. 5'10 and a size 0? Really? Yuck! Plus she is supposed to be a raging snob to Americans everywhere. She prefers Africa.

  5. I could care less. William is so ugly & need some bosley & invisalign. Actually, I think he needs the whole mouth piece & braces set.

  6. @Manda -Bosley does more harm then good. They've butchered and scarred and stole people's entire lives away. Just google Bosley medical violations. I agree with what you're saying but there are way more competent and professional hair restoration clinics out there. Some of the best in the world are actually in Canada.

    Hmmm..maybe that's why he's going there.

  7. Yes. And Yes.

Because I have a serious thing for aristocratic english women.

I would say he needs Neograft for the hairline (if he wants it), but other than that he is doing fine. I thought their wedding was really sweet and hope they have the happiness his Mother never found.

  10. Oh, great, another America-hating snob bitch. I hope she stays away.

  11. @Nightmare - she doesn't look very aristocratic here:

  12. It will be fun to watch.

  13. I honestly don't care, but I hope they have a nice time. I can't imagine being anywhere 'officially.' Sounds like a complete drag to me.

  14. Stop the bus here. Who says she doesn't like Americans? Is she quoted as saying that somewhere?

I'd be excited if they came to my town and were spotted, yes. Otherwise, nah. But good for them. I'd love to go on extended vacay.

  15. No

I would be excited if it was Hot Harry

  16. She said she preferred Africa. That's a popular effete European way of dissing us.

Sorry, based upon what my middle class UK friends have to put up with from Royals ... to say nothing of what we have to deal with from our own 1% ... I'm not too happy with Royals of any kind.

  17. K I've been searching high and low for any evidence of a quote that Kate said any such thing - no link. Anyone have a link?

  18. Well, perhaps she DOES prefer Africa. It's supposedly a gorgeous continent, and I'll bet she gets papped a crapton less over there than she would here. I know I'D like to see Africa.

But who cares? She didn't insult any of us personally. It's not her fault if she never had a desire to travel here. Diff'rent strokes.

And no, I totally don't care that they're coming here. I wish them well and hope they have a good time, but I don't really even think I'd be starstruck if I saw them. Being a royal isn't like having some amazing talent. It's just a bloodline.

  19. Well, I would prefer to live outside the southeastern U.S. but that doesn't mean I hate all things southern and all southerners. :)

  20. Given that most people are probably exposed to our "culture" via Jersey Shore and the Real Housewives, can you blame her?

  21. I have no idea how accurate this video is, but I thought it was interesting. It's about the amount of taxes British royals use vs. the amount of revenue they bring in to the country.

  23. I will be in Canada the week following their visit. I know how this goes - everyone is going to be really pissed off that Canada had to pay for this little trip.

  24. It's doubtful Canada will be paying for the entire trip although they may have to pay for security. They are probably coming to my home town so I won't bother sending in pics I guess LOL

  25. They're going to Ottawa, no?. Beautiful parliament buildings, but otherwise, meh. I'd prefer to go to Africa as well. No hard feelings Kate.

  26. I bet they are going to Canada for some "updates". That's where I would go if I were a man needing a new hairline. She's probably up for a little work too. Someone find out who are their doctors and tell us all!

  27. I think they are stopping in for one day, so I doubt there will be any worthy 'updates'. lol

Poor William, there's nothing wrong with going bald, if he would just rock something a little funkier & more youthful. That 70's accountant side part that starts at the opposite ear has got to go! Maybe Becks can give him some hair tips.

  28. They're coming to Calgary so I'm sure some street will be blocked off at some point so I have to take A DETOUR *grumble grumble*. I don't really care about them but I don't really mind them either. I saw some interview with the princes a while back and they seem like very nice young men.

  29. Maja.....Calgary?!!!! Oh my God, I love my city, but seriously, why the hell would they pitstop here?!! Did Harry tell thyem about the raunchy good times at Cowboys? (or was it The Whiskey?)

Please God, don't send our famous May/June blizzard while the world is watching. We get laughed at enough :(

And cheers to you Maja from Cowtown!

  30. Hi,
first of all I can't understand Enty's obsession with "la Leti". Yeah, because he's not spanish
European monarchies are a joke right now (and a bad one to us tax-payers)

second, I don't really find surprising KM has never been to the states. I understand that she prefers to go to the Patagonia and the Maldives to chill :)

    great weekend to everyone!
